He’s been an incredible inspiration to me for 15 years.. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to see him twice, and it’s awesome to see he’s headed towards a household name.. What a unique talent he certainly is… You’re 💯.. he is something special.. guitar man 🔥🔥
Love how the solo volume level was cranked and he was like ohhh shit.... then just ripped the the soul outta that guitar. Legendary performance. My neighbors probably hate me for this video.
He gets that tone that is a bees dick away from discordant that holds your ear and makes you cock your jaw. Can fucking play. Too few seriously good guitar slingers around these days.
Anyone else keep on coming back to this video? For 2 years now, been watching this performance and it still send shivers down my spine. It is probably the greatest factor of my motivation of getting way better on guitar. His meandering or improvisation alone is fucking amazing. Glad that there's people like this are still out there in this day of age.
I can't believe it has taken me 27 years to get into blues. This guy is an absolute legend... you can quite literally feel the soul coming from his guitar. I haven't had music make me feel something in some time but this guy right here has me all up in my feels. lol
This is honestly one of my favourite videos on RUclips, I come back to this specific performance time and time again because the whole song is just flawless.
I discovered GCJr so quickly after the passing of my brother, out of habit I actually said to myself, "Oh man, M___us ginna love this guy.". Then I remembered. My brother would have LOVED this band. All of them. Especially that guy playing the Casinos.
This guy is flat out one of the most amazing musicians i've ever ever heard, has a unique sound that is truly one of a kind, I can't wait to hear what records he'll make in the future
GAAAAHHH DDDDAAAAAYYYUUUUMMMMM GARY CLARK JR!!! @3:00 MIN. INTO THIS AND I'M STILL IN COMPLETE AWE! YOU ARE A BEAUTIFUL ARTIST! TO MAKE A GUITAR CRY THAT WAY TAKES A ONE OF A KIND SOUL! ❤
Damn he's like the greatest musician we got at the moment. I mean all those feelings :o it's crazy... He always gives me so much motivation when I listen to his songs. I think I have to buy one of those Epiphone Casinos. This guitar sounds soooooooooo great. This is a perfect song
yknow i havnt heard anything for a long time that motivated me musicaly but this guy is bringing old school back with a twist, just great music with no computers a breath of fresh air .
I'm a old gezzer now i've been playing for years blues punk funk rock and r&b and this is the man to carry the torch that the great that came before him bb king albert king glen goines I'm just happy to see you mr clark you are long over due!!!!!!!
Finally....an artist who can fill the gap left by so many greats who've been dying on us since the mid 1950's. This guy has it all. John Mayer...you're not fit to make this guy sandwiches.
playing the blues aint about technique, its about feeling.that's why they call it the blues.Gary feels it.It's all that matters in a blues guitarist. You can have someone shred on a 12 bar blues,if theres no feeling to it,it aint the blues and the guitar player aint a blues player.Just a good guitarist who can fool people
There are no words in any language in any country on this planet that can describe how good this is! I love the way the producer cuts to the Strat man when the epic solo kicks in. He clearly thinks there is no way that this dude with the velvet tones and an epiphone is going to kick out a solo too :):):)
jimi jam74 That Strat man is the rhythm player and he is just outstanding ....Tune out everything and listen to this dude...He plays some of the best rhythms and chords out there...gorgeous guitar player...
Found this years ago, I still listen to it from time to time. There's so much soul in this song and it's written by a guy who is considered a crossroad blues guitarist. It's amazing honestly. I wished he did more tracks like this in Blak and Blu.
Album probably wouldn't sell as good if he did. Record company wants more of a commercial sound and something "new". I love this song and it gives me chills, but it's nothing new in their eyes, so they wouldn't risk making a full album with songs like this im sure. Wish they would though because i'd listen to him a lot more
Yeah, I think its silly. I've been playing for 16 years and I'll vouch for Gary. I've been waiting for a guitar player of this style to come for a while.
i cant stop watching this. this solo is like a lesson in guitar playing for me. it tells a story and doesnt sound eager. it starts off smooth and takes us on a rollercoaster of pure emotion
Been telling people about you since The Rock and roll hall of fame. AMAZING!!!! And the emotions pouring out of you when you play that thang!!! LAWD!!! I'm a fan. THIS is music. Much love man
I saw him at the Uptown in KCMO. Damn it gave me chills to hear this song in person. Second coming of Jimi and Prince. The man is very talented. Great show.
I keep coming back to see the master of blues/soul .. sometimes I feel good and sometimes I get frustrated as hell.. That playing is coming from Gary’s heart and soul.. no text books on chords or theory teaches this ✊🏼
I never watched a video on RUclips more than this one. Gary inspired me to pick up the Electric Guitar and this video reminds me every time i watch it why i did so. Thank you champ 🙌🏻
F'ing A, Jr is a new Eric in the making. I will make history with him because it is fabulous in the making! He plays with everybody. He gets along with everybody, that is why he is asked to play with everybody, that and his talent. Grew up playing music in a music town that nurtures that drive. Love his sound, especially if I'm feeling nostalgic for real Rock.
Cary Clark Jr. will take us back to time when blues was at it's best. No one has ever been able to copy the slow blues guitar playing style of Peter Green as well as Gary Clark jr.
I went to a lil concert here in Louisville Ky at Headliners, the Band was Leon Russell, but Gary Clark Jr. was the "opening" or "headliner". As soon as Gary started this song, I immediately started recording him. I immediately loved this song before he started singing it. I knew he was gonna go places, and look at him now. We love you Gary Clark Jr!!!!!
Gary Clark Jr is phenomenal! Nobody's been getting tone like that for decades!!! Love the raw and primal energy around 4:00 and on. Long may he reign!!!
If this is your first time watching this, welcome to this side. This is very special
This is my 1000th time and your right it's special
Every time I get goosebumps ❤🎉
He’s been an incredible inspiration to me for 15 years.. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to see him twice, and it’s awesome to see he’s headed towards a household name.. What a unique talent he certainly is… You’re 💯.. he is something special.. guitar man 🔥🔥
@@Userjustme too 🔥
Breathtaking solo.
Love how the solo volume level was cranked and he was like ohhh shit.... then just ripped the the soul outta that guitar. Legendary performance. My neighbors probably hate me for this video.
he puts in those pauses like a master, it accentuates the louder points, its a strategic buildup
I like to think my neighbors love me because I only blast epic songs like this.
This solo is among the most amazing things any human has ever done. Ever.
Yes it is. I listen to it at least once a day!
It has to be a language of the souls!!
I love GCJ, but.. this is nothing compared to Jimi.
@@melty05 jesus fucking christ. why does every cunt compare x guitarist with jimi? As Eric said, it's been done, get over it
He gets that tone that is a bees dick away from discordant that holds your ear and makes you cock your jaw. Can fucking play. Too few seriously good guitar slingers around these days.
Holy fuck I think everyone at that concert just witnessed true greatness
There will be people who never hear this and feel so sorry for them. Thank you Gary.....

Have you heard the 512 lounge version? I go back and forth between which I like best.
Same here😂
Already on repeat, just heard!! And learned!!!
12 years later. Still a go to for me.
Fucking hell
anytime you think you've heard it all, something like this comes along
Thank god
I can't believe it has taken me 27 years to get into blues. This guy is an absolute legend... you can quite literally feel the soul coming from his guitar. I haven't had music make me feel something in some time but this guy right here has me all up in my feels. lol
Holy Shit...Water from my eyes, blood from my veins, pain from my heart, LOVE from my soul. I have spoken.
Seen him play this differently, this is by far my favorite. That solo, I literally will put the solo on repeat. I feel it in my soul.
This is honestly one of my favourite videos on RUclips, I come back to this specific performance time and time again because the whole song is just flawless.
I do the same. One the greatest soulful solos of all time
you r so right if it wasn't for music like this I don't want to live
just listen to the way he plays that guitar and the singing behind it wow
Scott Zeall I’ve listened and have attempted play along at least 60 times in the past 3 years ... ✊🏼
You and me both sister. 😂🙏
I remembering hearing this a decade ago. One of my most favorite solos ever hands down.
X2
Here I am 10 years later still enjoying this as the first time. Amazing
me too
10 years damn.. Why do I feel like this was uploaded 4 years ago
This solo makes me cry. The drummer it's great too.
I've listened to this solo 1000 x it only gets better !!
Finally....The return of REAL music. Dude is dope.
I know right
That's what I'm talking about
Hella dope.
Real dope man... 👌👍
This is the best version of this song, hands down.
The guitar playing is just so, so, SO goddamn good, mindblowing.
This style of playing is so much better than some shred bs
This solo rocks my socks right off my feet. Triple threat for sure. Voice, lyrics, and playing...eargasmic
One of the absolute greatest blues performances ever captured
HE NEEDS TO BE IN A ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME JUST FROM THIS ONE SONG THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!
100% correct, he is in the class with PRINCE. GREAT
Plz Just Come, it will All BE Alright...now more than ever!!!...💜💙💝 I NEED YOU...
This has to be one of the best solos I’ve heard in a long while!
How did he not shed tears ripping that out
My god, I don't think i've heard a song so powerful in my life, this is real, honest music
I discovered GCJr so quickly after the passing of my brother, out of habit I actually said to myself, "Oh man, M___us ginna love this guy.". Then I remembered. My brother would have LOVED this band. All of them. Especially that guy playing the Casinos.

I don't even know what to say about this guy's playing. It's soooo... luscious.
The voice of Marvin Gaye... The guitar of Hendrix.... Pure bliss....

From a blistering blues solo to a slow 70's soul train jam. love it!
Finally....an artist who can fill the gap left by so many greats who've been dying on us since the mid 1950's. This guy has it all. John Mayer...you're not fit to make this guy sandwiches.
Thank God for Austin, Tx.
I could listen to this song for the rest of my life but I have to hurry and get back home right now. He's waiting for me!
Pure Perfection!!! Never knew he had that range. Love the falsetto!!
his falsetto is amazing, but did you hear that solo? tasty!

I can’t describe it in words why, but this solo completely saved my life.
how could you not be reminded of jimi when you hear this... brilliant

I think ALL the greats would loved to have pulled a solo like this out the bag!

Simply incredible #GaryClarkJr. You are a bad ass. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️💜💙💖💝💚💛🥁🎸🎹🪘🇨🇱
Most underrated artist!
He’s finally getting his due. ✊🏼
12 years later and this performance still brings me to tears
Been telling people about you since The Rock and roll hall of fame. AMAZING!!!! And the emotions pouring out of you when you play that thang!!! LAWD!!! I'm a fan. THIS is music. Much love man
This is the best version in my opinion!
still love the one in crossroads festival
I saw him at the Uptown in KCMO. Damn it gave me chills to hear this song in person. Second coming of Jimi and Prince. The man is very talented. Great show.

This moment of performance... Wahawauw. He was feeling it and everybody's still feeling it. Thank you God for internet, video and audio. Damn...
Just one word: EARGASM 🍃
This is probably my all time favourite solo of his. Such good phrasing and transitions, perfectly serves the song.
wtf this is one of the biggest solos ive heard in years.ty for ur Blues mate !
Wow, just stumbled upon this listening to some blues. Amazing..
I rate him highly as a singer. His guitar playing is good, but his solo on this song is breathtaking.
I agree.
Bruh he's not that good of a soloist.
good?? agaga
Ummm. I will agree to disagree. This man is one of the goats of the guitar.
Jason Winner ummm no
That was freakin amazing!!! Effin WOW,WOW, WOW!!!!!!
Robert, THANK YOU! This was incredible! First time hearing him & I’m already taken by him/it… nice….🙏👍
Oh God, take me now......I can't stand how perfect this is.
I see a new legend rising. the solo that starts at 2:15 is just amazing. He even does it with his eyes closed
Simply incredible!!! Every girl dreams a song like this was made for them! Or @ least I do!
GaryClarkJr.,meets the Delfonics, Hendrix and BB KIng, what a group. This song is honors some of the great in music.
Incredible underrated talent both for vocals and guitar playing
Damn straight. still, good ta be seeing anybody playing the blues this well. Gary Clark Jr certainly has the blues
I never watched a video on RUclips more than this one. Gary inspired me to pick up the Electric Guitar and this video reminds me every time i watch it why i did so. Thank you champ 🙌🏻
Gary Clark Jr..your the new generation of Blues. Love it♡
Honestly I didn't know he had this kind of range when singing and the guitar playing is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Love it!
I feel the audience didn't quite appreciate what they were listening to. This is epic.
Gary Clark Jr is just too good. He oozes the blues. LOVE him!
I very dear friend of mine just turned me on to this. On Dec 1st 2019!!! I've listen to it at least 5 times. Nice... very nice!
Completely fantastic...this is a winner all the way!!!!
Man, so awesome that people like this exist
Legend, solo reminds me of SRV’s Life without you.
This guy is brilliant. Man he kills it on the guitar...He holds back so much in the beginning, and then he just destroys the fretboard!
Far Out, I'd never heard of this guy until he played with Dave Grohl at the Beatles tribute concert. Sings and plays killer guitar. Gotta love that..
That's the second Epiphone I've heard that sounds great. Not to mention this guy is extremely talented.
Singing that high with that vibrato is so beautifully executed ESPECIALLY in a live setting.
Thank you T.O.P for recommending this lovely song...
Cary Clark Jr. will take us back to time when blues was at it's best. No one has ever been able to copy the slow blues guitar playing style of Peter Green as well as Gary Clark jr.
He is singing and playing with his soul 👍👌👍😘

chills
close to tears
Just when you thought artists like that were dead and gone... Gary Clark Jr. comes along :). So refreshing.
I love this guy ......what a beautiful jam
Its amazing how what ever you do there is always a hater, genius is often over looked.
this gave me chills
OMG! THAT WAS DYNAMITE!!! A LEGENDARY PERFORMANCE, BOTH VOCAL AND GUITAR!👏👏👏👌❤
For Sure This is The Most Beautiful Song Ever ♥️💙
Gary Clark Jr is phenomenal! Nobody's been getting tone like that for decades!!! Love the raw and primal energy around 4:00 and on. Long may he reign!!!
I've been listening to him since his crossroads debut in 2010. Most talented musician out there today. I hear Jimi every time I hear him play.
how awsome to see a new face playing and singing his way to stardom .alot of raw talent here.just incredible.
gdragon has such a wide variety of music tastes and it introduced me to this song and honestly im glad bc of that
no fucking way GDragon listens to southern style R&B?
I think I've watched/listened to this song at least 20 times in the past week
