I thought that the Gods had abandoned us, but listening to this I think that the spirit of Hendrix lives on. Congratulations to the musician for keeping our hope alive.
I told my sons he is He is Jimmie re-incacarnated ( Sorry for the spelling ) It's just great Gary Clake .
Not the next Jimi but the first Gary Clark
Wow, I ran across this video & I'm so glad I decided to listen to it. Amazing talent....!!!
EVERYTIME I see him do a solo you can see his soul leave his body and go into his guitar!
ClassyNerdTalk exactly like Jimi every time he picked the guitar up..
Zippy Lucke I’m sure any guitarist of note will admit they are nowhere near Jimi..
@@fancychannelname he is not Jimi...he is Gary and he is exceptional in the lane that he has created for himself. True there will never be another Jimi, like their will never be another Prince or Michael. Those are legends. However, this man is great at his craft
ClassyNerdTalk haha! Nice picture :) yeah he is extremely good. Reminds me of a new Jimmie Hendrix
@@fancychannelname I 100% agree and even think his solos are completely unforgivable and hard to listen to, or a SERIOUS matter of taste
Thank you for posting ! Gary Clark Jr. outstanding guitar player!
in fact, I awoke 'this moanin,....' wanting to have my first big cup of coffee and watch this fantastic video again. i have played and been serenaded by guitar 59 years since I was 8 years old.....and i know the feeling Gary has when he stretches those long slow notes on that fine Gibson SG
Ooh lordy Sweet Jesus! Just witnessed a miracle and I think I like it!
I saw a reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson, James Brown, BB King, Prince and Curtis Mayfield..... that was one heck of a performance!
Magnum Opus Gary Clark Jr !
🙌🏾👊🏿🔥💥
Hmmm... I saw ruclips.net/video/rDFbsAZsm0Y/видео.html

You killed me !!! :-)
LOL Well done sir
This dude is carrying the torch for Muddy, Buddy, Jimi, Stevie, and EC. Already one of the greats
...and Bob!!!
no he isn't. this is a world away from the first two.
@@serenityinside1 IKR I keep trying and I just hear some guy who isnt that good. Not trying to be a dick, this guy pales to any of the greats. His vibrato is OK, thats about all I can say
When somebody jams that long, I just expect more
Daniel Prince been listening to buddy guy. Greatest song is......what woman 👩 is this?
Best live performance I’ve ever seen, I felt every bit of it. 👍🏻
Props to the sound engineer of this Venue for doing a great job.
Best version of this song, in my opinion. Gary gives his everything as he Glides through this song! Every version I've seen of this song, the solo is different, yet mind-blowing, yet, H, (Gary), is at ease, grooving and looks completely natural. He makes it look so easy! An Amazing Blues Guitarist, musician, Artist! Thank You Gary!
I love this man's work it's in his DNA fantastic experience
First time getting into and discovering GCJ and I have to see the amount of emotion he pours into that solo is fucking staggering. I’m floored.
If you aren't familiar with Marcus King you may like his stuff as well

Can't like this video enough....Gary is a legend 🤘
And on the 7th day God rested and listened to the music real loud and was pleased with the magic he had created...
I don't think I've ever seen a clip of Gary Clark playing that great. He's always written amazing tunes, and done unique covers, but damn that was probably one of the best solos I have heard out of anyone who was playing live.
Look at more vids. They're out there.
John Frusciante brother. Thank me later :)
chazz lawrence yeah. he pulls out very surprising notes and then the whale swells are icing on the cake.
John The Cat he was amazing man
That's with him comparing it to solos I have heard from other blues greats. You can hear how much the crowd impacted him when he started playing.
Never knew of this fella before. My loss. BRILLIANT!
Yo...I am LOVING the "no reverb" fuzz on this SG. Great sound Mr. GCJ!!
One of those jams, you don't want to end...
Gary Clark Jr is one of the best guitarist ever! These guy is amazing and I love listening to him!
Best supportive crowd ever!!!! Brilliant. He's something special isn't he?
Excellent guitar solo against the backdrop of a brilliant band. Everything's right, everything. I wish I could fly away playing the instrument, it's a beautiful moment.
Amazing to me that many don't know who Gary Clark jr is .. amazing talent for years now
When you’re making the same faces as the singer/guitar player, in this case, Gary Clark Jr., you know it’s transcending❣️❤️
John Mayer makes those faces too! 😎
I remember as kids my sister and I used to laugh at my brother pulling faces when playing the guitar. In his bedroom! It’s when you lose yourself to the instrument and nothing else matters.

Got goosebumps when Gary started singing. Absolute legend.
Has to be one of the greatest guitar solos ever. The look on his face as he played
Where the heck has he been all my life?! I'm here bc of CBS News Sunday Morning. TY!!!
A master class, and a band worthy of each others talents, just in sync feeding of each other.
began eating dinner but couldn't lift the spoon listening to that solo. Monstrously beautiful.
What were you eating?
@@valgirard4718 yeah lets see if he remembers after a yeah lol
