Thank you Anita! If you scroll back on my RUclips channel, I used to always film on camera 😊 just hadn’t in a while because it became harder for me in my life to have a talking head setup, but I’m hoping to change that little by little this year :)

Thank you for this! I couldn’t figure out why I have been struggling with bubbling this winter- we use a wood burning stove to heat the house, with a fan blowing the hot air and moisture from a humidifier out into the room! Tomorrow I will try without the fan and humidifier.😂🤣😂

Oh you have created a beautiful environment for bubbles to thrive hahaha jk 😂🩷 (let me know if the changes fix it for u!)

It totally worked to fix my bubbles problem! And funny story- I did my second bubble free mani (no fan or humidifier), then an hour later messed up one nail so added one more color coat and top coat but left on fan and humidifier. The one nail is covered in bubbles 🫧 so you definitely defined my problem! Thanks again!!!

Teach! You're so right in explaining why bubbles can appear when we polish our nails. I try avoid doing those things and pretty much have a bubble-free mani. TFS!

I had lots of bubbling when I was living in South America, especially in the summer. I fixed it by moving to Europe, there's no such thing as summer where I live now. Problem solved 😅

I’ve had that happen. I thought it might have been a reaction from a different brand base coat to the polish..🤷🏼‍♀️ but I have been really cleaning my nails with non acetone remover thoroughly ever since with no bubbles so it might have been moisture. Also have 68 year old nails which are very textured so it’s rarely nice and smooth regardless of the base I use.

i would say 99% of regular nail polish products can be used across brands. (this won't include Dazzle Dry for example, which is a differently formulated product and what not), but say essie, opi, orly, and so on, you can mix and match base and top coats.

I had that problem exactly. All my nail polishes bubbled, I was mad. It took me some weeks to understand. My top coat has turned bad. It was an opi the basic one I was surprised. Maybe it was because of the little bits of nail polish on the brush. Now I clean my brush before closing the lid.

Ah yeah true, sometimes top coats get contaminated with stuff, but I also feel like them being too old sometimes just makes things iffy! haha

I only have the bubbling problem with all of my Essie polishes. I stopped buying them and I am happy now.

I have had a bubbling issue with Olive and June's jelly/crelly polishes from their regular line.....It is so weird....I don't have issues with their cream formulas though......I have tried avoiding those polishes, even though I have tried different base coats and top coats (including theirs)......I'm also in south Florida and I definitely see a difference in the performance of the polish if its too hot in the room...love the channel!!!

I have never had my polish bubbling in my life. Until recently - the Catrice Power Gel 2 in 1 base coat/top coat does this. No idea why. It is a new bottle I recently bought. Sometimes, it is the product 🤷🏼‍♀️

This was the post for me! My last three manis had bubbling and I was wondering what was happening. I think my base coat is too thick and I find the metallic paints may be prone to bubbling due to thicker consistency? I will aim for thinner coats and see if that works better. Thank you for this helpful info!

Can I wipe down my dry nails with alcohol between coats? Or will that damage/weaken the polish somehow?
