Have you been to Providence before? Anything you think we missed in our tour that other people should visit while they're visiting? Feel free to add them below!
I came here after I saw a video that mentioned Providence as being one of the top 10 worst state capitals in the country. This video makes Providence look so much better. Haha. Sweet video 🤙🏽
Great tour, I'm RI born and still here, was a hard time in RI. Hit major things, doughnuts handmade, coffee milk, calamari. If ever back have to hit Louie's near brown, and we are famous for hot weiners at olneyville ny system in prov., and weinorma in Cranston. All 3 famous. Many more tyvm
The baked apple pie would definitely be my first choice of the 3 donuts!😋 what a beautiful sunny day you guys had for exploring and eating donuts, calamari and drinking coffee!
Providence seems right up our alley. I would go for the calamari, Jamie would go for the donuts, and we'd both go for the coffee and beer! Great video!
That's a giant donut! Wow! Roger Williams was an outcast? I will have to look that up. Brown University has a great reputation. Enjoy the calamari! Safe travels!
Yup...Roger Williams was exiled from Mass. Most of Rhode Islands founders were outcast. This video is making me so homesick...LoL (heeyyy its me - Tinesha from Fun and Budget Act - this is my other channel).
I’m about to head to bed and after watching this, I am super hungry and need a snack! Those donuts seriously look too pretty to eat. I’m not a big donut person but it looks so yummy. And the coffee milk is totally something I would like. I would try the calamari too. Yum! 🤤
Haha maybe we should have put a warning on this video! "Warning: you might get hungry watching this section about delicious donuts. Viewer discretion is advised."
All of Roger Williams Park if you seen the little brown Cottage just passed the statue you're at that's Betsy Williams Cottage that was her farm I believe she was a niece of Rodger Williams and there is the Williams family buried there you missed onyvillle wieners and old stone bank lmao i remember that whole Fiasco
We can relate. We moved to Boston just shortly before the pandemic and haven't seen as much as we'd like yet. But excited to explore more this summer and hope you can do this same in RI too :)
@@TheMapPinners thanks, I've been to Portland a few times but was considering cheating to try PVDonuts. I think I'll stick with what I know. Which restaurant in town is your fav? I hope the Grill Room reopens soon.
😭😭 we were suppose to be there this Christmas. Love your episode and will have to share some of these things with our family!! I never knew you could actually buy coffee milk... we also just bought the coffee syrup and added to milk! Yummy cannot wait to try it
You didn't get to mention that there is a zoo that's located within Roger Williams Park. It's called the Roger Williams Park Zoo. My family & I went there in July of 2017 while we were on vacation in Portsmouth, RI, and it was a hot one during the day that we went to it. Also, calamari is actually squid, not octopus.
I had to look up what a cruller was, never ever heard of that before 😂 All the food looked soooooo good! Like someone else said can't believe you'd never had Calamari! So good right?!? What a fun little tour around Providence. Still can't believe we were meant to be in the US right now, thanks for adding more things to see and eat to our list when we finally get there ☺️
I never knew that was the state drink of RI. We don't love overly sweet or milky drinks. Love how you guys are embracing NE in your videos. How was the brewery what did you guys have there? We love fried calamari especially the way they do it in RI!!!
The brewery was pretty good! Their (Long Live Beerworks) menu was full of IPAs and Double IPAs, which aren't are favorite. But the Double IPA that we ended up getting was pretty good! I'd recommend giving it a try
I haven't been yet but I'd love to visit one day. Those donuts looked incredible, how long did you narrow it to just 3 I'd be there for an hour trying to decide. The area by Brown looks so pretty. I'd definitely be down for the calamari, but my husband wouldn't 🤣
How cool is Providence! Thanks for walking around Brown...always hear about it in movies and series, but they never show it! The doughnuts, coffee and calamari 🤤 (can’t believe you’ve never had calamari...it’s one of my go-to meals at restaurants when I don’t know what to order 😅) Really enjoyed the video 😃
This is a fun food tour guys! Those are really big donuts, love them! I personally am not into sugary drinks but I love hot chocolate lol I cant believe you have never tried. Those calamari's are looking so good, I almost smelled it from here ;)
Guys that coffee looked absolutely delicious 💜 my mouth was watering. That university looked so absolutely impressive! Loved the look of that brewery Guys that coffee looked absolutely delicious 💜 my mouth was watering. That university looked so absolutely impressive! Loved the look of that brewery. Adam loved the look of that calamari 🥰 Great video of Providence guys, makes me want to visit asap 🥰🥰🥰
I'm from Providence and I highly recommend trying the veal parmesan at Camille's. Not only is it amazing but you'll have leftovers for days 😂 Also Olneyville New York System is a spot you gotta check out

No hot weiners ? Gotta have that while in Rhode Island

That’s awesome to hear! Happy you enjoyed it and got to see a more positive side of this capital 😄
Why is Providence so bad? I love it 😍

Aww, we never knew Providence RI was such a nice little town! We must try to make a trip there one day! Thank you for sharing!
Yes you definitely should! It's a fun place!
Please come back in the summer. RI really comes alive in warmer months. The seafood is amazing.
Haha you got it! I bet it would be beautiful in the summer
The baked apple pie would definitely be my first choice of the 3 donuts!😋 what a beautiful sunny day you guys had for exploring and eating donuts, calamari and drinking coffee!
Good choice on the apple pie! That was definitely my (Ben's) favorite
Looks so beautiful and quiet there
It really was! We loved our time in Providence :)
So many delicious looking donuts!!!
They're so good 😋
I lived in Providence for a few months several years ago, and I loved it there. It's such a nice small city.
I can see why; it seems like such a great small city. We really enjoyed our time there too :)
I live in providence ri right now
We're headed to Providence next week, so thanks for all the great info!
Our pleasure! Hope you had a wonderful time there :)
I live in providence!
Yesssss - Providence RI is the city of my birth - say hello to all my family for me :-D
Haha will do!!
Providence seems right up our alley. I would go for the calamari, Jamie would go for the donuts, and we'd both go for the coffee and beer! Great video!
Thanks so much! Yes, I would definitely recommend stopping by Providence next time you're in the Northeast
Calamari is squid not octopus. Thanks for the video. Visiting brother during covid, and was exactly what I was looking for.
Good to know! Thanks for that and happy you enjoyed the video :) Enjoy your time with your brother!
Yep definitely squid

It's so good! Definitely would recommend giving it a try
Thank you. I moved to RI last year but havent done any tours due to the pandemic.
We can relate. We moved to Boston just shortly before the pandemic and haven't seen as much as we'd like yet. But excited to explore more this summer and hope you can do this same in RI too :)
You didn't even go have clam cakes somewhere. One of the most Rhode Island foods going.
did you enjoy Providence or Portland, Maine best? I'm trying to figure out which to visit next.
We liked both cities a lot, but I think we prefer Portland more because of how crazy good the food is there. So many places to choose from
@@TheMapPinners thanks, I've been to Portland a few times but was considering cheating to try PVDonuts. I think I'll stick with what I know. Which restaurant in town is your fav? I hope the Grill Room reopens soon.

Calamari is made with squid. I like it best at Cassarino’s which is next door to Andinos
Great to know about Cassarino's. Thanks for the tip and clarification!
