This is so perfect it could easily be released as a studio recording. Love how Jeff Tweedy looks like a long-lost Bacon Brother and Leslie Feist looks like the lovely Tina Fey.
its not a fad, the thing about vinyl, you can't listen to it in your car, if you want to support the artist it is the best way to go, you get full size artwork, you get a medium that will last FOREVER if taken care of properly, i have records from the 60's that still play better than a CD purchased a year ago.........
i disagree with you.. digitally mastered music is the best.. pure crisp sound.. if u compare high end vinyl to high end digital recording, u will knoiw what i mean..\
@janekamy : I would watch Feist eight days a week over friggin' Britney or Beyonce please...the exception is Madonna and only if she played solo with an acoustic guitar, to prove the songs to me. Otherwise not interested never was. Well maybe that Ray Of Light cd. That's it.
Yeah, very Lennonesque Voice + intensive harmony vocals from the girl, plus a lead guitar that re-creates the sound of George Harrsion in the Beatles Revolver-period. I just melted away on 1966-nostalgia hearing this song for the first time.
Nels Cline on guitar is about the best there is! (seriously much better than George; not to disparage) And Leslie is basically a Goddess... not much to add to that.
All of Wilco's albums are beautiful but I believe their most underrated is Summerteeth. Listen to the entire album and it is just a masterpiece. I believe it is around the same greatness as Yankee and Sky Blue Sky.
Summerteeth is an aquired taste because of the juxtaposition of upbeat music and depressing lyrics. However, that's exactly what makes it outstanding. I prefer it to YHF which to me isn't the opus magnum everyone makes it out to be.
Awesome song, very much in the style of Tim and Neil Finn. The Wilco album "Wilco (The Album)" is just too good for words! I hope this version of the band stays together forever and Tweedy can continue to create songs this wonderful.
This was gonna be our wedding song when my ex fiance and I got engaged. Such a amazing song. Tough to listen to since we never went through with the wedding
@vladamih Sky Blue Sky and Yankee Foxtrot are equal in my opinion. There's a quality to Sky Blue Sky that seems to be under appreciated to hardcore Wilcoer's. I don't get it because you're exactly right. Side with the Seeds and Impossible Germany especially...and You are my face. I could go on....
So...I love about everything Jeff has done. We actually grew up in the same town (Belleville) though our paths never crossed. But just as a guy, I have to be extremely jealous that he has worked with perhaps the two most beautiful and talented ladies in music: Leslie Feist & Sharon Van Etten. They both just stop my heart momentarily! 😆😍
Awsome. Love this band so much. Unfortunately I just got turned on with them a while ago. There was one song my sister was playing on her I phone, and I was like; who is this?( looser I should have known😓). I think when an artist can make you feel so good ,at the same time, feeling all sorts of emotions & when you play this song over and over again ( like I did) that's pretty amazing. Wilco is so multi talented it's ridiculous, really. I like fiest as well. This is one of my favourite songs from Wilco so sweet. This song also reminds me of a friend of mine, who I just adore. Great music Thanxs for uploading ☀️⭐️
takes me back to Elton John and Kiki Dee ~ in a good way but as if EJ and KD had taken copious amounts of cough syrup that same day. But in a good way. Or maybe if Rod Stewart and Kiki Dee had had two twin children. But in a good way.
@sleepoptimistic love love l.o.v.e. is the greatest thing on earth, I imagine myself playing this song with a girl I know that has a beautiful voice, taking risks in life is what makes everything worth while, resting on your laurels and wondering what if? is for the masses, show the video, be in love make love, or fall on your face, in the end you tried and always remember this: the regrets in life aren't the things we did, but the things we did not do. cheers.
@janekamy You must be a teenager or something. If you really think that Feist "doesn't care about how she looks" you'd be disappointed bigtime once you found out. She cares and she's not any more "genuine" than anyone else. In most cases "not having a style" is a style. Indie people are sometimes the most shallow of them all. They just tend to be smart enough to at least try to control it.
No no please forgive my ignorance(not a dick at all), you're right it is a Jerry Jones, i didn't pay attention on the head, i just assumed that, because of the lipstick pick up, thank you for that
uh no, the fad of regressing back to obsolete technology and capability has only been around for awhile, when hipsters wanted to think they were "cool" and "different" by listening to vinyl instead of CDs..
I want to show this song to a girl i've known for years but i'm afraid she would get the wrong impression. So i'll just keep it to myself, but fuck it's such a great song and it sums up how i have been feeling lately.
Great band and song. Fiest ain't to shabby! Got Wilco a song No Depression Club of mine with Rachael K on vocals with me and Jon jewel on leads. Wonder if it inspired this song as it was a tribute song of sorts to Wilco and 2 nights of Jeff Tweedy at Lounge Axe. Check it out and Merry Christmas!!!!! Oh he was Hannuka man on Facebook last year!! Peace
good one! lol! i think that means laugh out loud, right? you kids today and ur advanced way of communicating, us old genX'ers just aren't as cunning as you millennials.
@lysolbombs470 Pretty sure it is a reverse delay pedal. Many higher end digital delays offer this feature. Line 6 I DL6 does (big green machine). Danelectro discontinued it but you can probably find a Back Talk or Wasabi reverse delay for a relatively good price. Peace.
Dude, she's 33. And freakin' super talented. She can wear whatever she wants. If you want to complain about old rocker chicks with skimpy outfits go watch anything Madonna has done in the past few years.
@hockeyyismylife Right? How dare someone express their feelings for someone in a way that you don't see fit?! If you are going to make ridiculous insensitive comments like that, maybe next time keep your thoughts to yourself. Nobody wants to see. Now back to your brilliantly scheduled viewing :)
@vladamih To me YFH is a standout but it was my introduction to them (I was 30!) - the album was just so....?FULL , yes full. I really disliked YHF first time I heard it, but after a week the love affair began and it was with me for months driving all and sundry around me nuts. I used to leave parties early so I could go home put on YHF kinda loud, roll a big joint and just zone out - by the time I got to Poor Places (my fave song) I would be in heaven - yes YHF for me but it's all good
This is so perfect it could easily be released as a studio recording. Love how Jeff Tweedy looks like a long-lost Bacon Brother and Leslie Feist looks like the lovely Tina Fey.
More like Jeff Tweedy looks like a long-lost Bacon Brother and Leslie Feist looks like the lovely Leslie Feist.
Yup. Tina Fey is kinda cute. Feist is a goddess.
Gotta give you that. Her voice and stage demeanor here are definitely "understated goddess."
To borrow a phrase Letterman used years ago, Leslie Feist looks and sounds "like a million damn dollars!"
Only a handful of bands are better live than they are in the studio. Wilco will always be one of those bands.
Without question!
Saw them last night and it is a fact!
i love this
Good stuff man.
Fiest was so cute at that time
Jimmy Eat World does an amazing cover of this song.
jeff tweddy & feist, che coppia con i wilco, w il cammello!
its not a fad, the thing about vinyl, you can't listen to it in your car, if you want to support the artist it is the best way to go, you get full size artwork, you get a medium that will last FOREVER if taken care of properly, i have records from the 60's that still play better than a CD purchased a year ago.........
thumbs up if you know Feist from "Don't Blame Yourself" by Canadian three-piece The New Deal.
i disagree with you.. digitally mastered music is the best.. pure crisp sound.. if u compare high end vinyl to high end digital recording, u will knoiw what i mean..\
@janekamy : I would watch Feist eight days a week over friggin' Britney or Beyonce please...the exception is Madonna and only if she played solo with an acoustic guitar, to prove the songs to me. Otherwise not interested never was. Well maybe that Ray Of Light cd. That's it.
I have watched this so many times. Anyone else listening in 2023?
Great song
Listening in 2024!
Also in January 2024...so great song!
Me too
yep
Wilco, my Beatles!
estoy de acuerdo, 21st century John Lennon/Tweedy
Yeah,
very Lennonesque Voice + intensive harmony vocals from the girl,
plus a lead guitar that re-creates the sound of George Harrsion in the Beatles Revolver-period.
I just melted away on 1966-nostalgia hearing this song for the first time.
Nels Cline on guitar is about the best there is! (seriously much better than George; not to disparage) And Leslie is basically a Goddess... not much to add to that.
my too
She dances in syncopated beats and it's beautiful. Sorry, this reaction is delayed. I kind of just "discovered" this song last week. Beautiful!
We’re not really worried about your delay.
Sorry I just read your comment 13 years later
Quite possibly the most beautiful Wilco tune.
Patient With Me, too
Such a beautiful song...and god, I love Feist!
The song inspires me to live a true love, with all that the word "love" implies.
yeah feist, wow! its an awesome song but she just elevates it....she's got this goofy, vulnerable, lovable, thing....huge fan
this is my wedding song
Me too!
All of Wilco's albums are beautiful but I believe their most underrated is Summerteeth. Listen to the entire album and it is just a masterpiece. I believe it is around the same greatness as Yankee and Sky Blue Sky.
Totally agree.
Here another total agreer.
Summerteeth is an aquired taste because of the juxtaposition of upbeat music and depressing lyrics. However, that's exactly what makes it outstanding. I prefer it to YHF which to me isn't the opus magnum everyone makes it out to be.
Definitely my favorite
So sweet...finale of Netflix Love brought me here.
(2)
Perfect ending song!
X2
Me too :)
Awesome song, very much in the style of Tim and Neil Finn. The Wilco album "Wilco (The Album)" is just too good for words! I hope this version of the band stays together forever and Tweedy can continue to create songs this wonderful.
Still going strong, and now you can look forward to both new Wilco and Jeff Tweedy's solo albums!!
Is he related to the Kiwi Finn brothers
Feist air drums are the beist air drums 2:32
Beist... Aha
Leslie could not do anything that's not "the best"... She rips my heart right out with her beauty!
This was gonna be our wedding song when my ex fiance and I got engaged. Such a amazing song. Tough to listen to since we never went through with the wedding
keep your head up king
Only just found these guys...i have to say.. i don't know what it is...they're just brilliant
I can never tell you the deepest well I've ever fallen into...

Phenomenal

@jefftweedyofficial well how are you your not the real Jeff tweedy nice try
Hi from 2024
I wanna be that much in love, one day.
I hear you! Leslie is just about the most beautiful creation too...
Such a great song, my daughter and I tried to make a version !!
That bass musicianship... it’s absolutely perfect!
Wilco - An american treasure
takes me back to Elton John and Kiki Dee ~ in a good way but as if EJ and KD had taken copious amounts of cough syrup that same day. But in a good way. Or maybe if Rod Stewart and Kiki Dee had had two twin children. But in a good way.
What a brilliant collaboration. Perfectly matched with no grand-standing.
amazing .how did he get that backwards guitar sound at the end??
Seriously, seeing him play up close is insane
hey CptMorganMd - if Jeff and Leslie are going to be at your wedding, I'm there too !
@sleepoptimistic love love l.o.v.e. is the greatest thing on earth, I imagine myself playing this song with a girl I know that has a beautiful voice, taking risks in life is what makes everything worth while, resting on your laurels and wondering what if? is for the masses, show the video, be in love make love, or fall on your face, in the end you tried and always remember this: the regrets in life aren't the things we did, but the things we did not do. cheers.
the backwards guitar solo at the end ROOCCKKSSSS
I’m so happy for Mickey and Gus.
Me to
Me either
so real in love, fuck i want to feel that before i die
I LOVE, LOVE ❤️
Glenn so bada$$ he's playing with a fly swatter.
Dear Leslie Feist, why haven't you marry me yet?
y am i crying
I remember watching this and being so impressed by Wilco and Fiest.
Oh my goodness, this is really a tasty!
Very nice mix :) She dances like she's genuinely having fun. It's not awkward one bit, i like it...
A wonderful performance. Wilco is a very polished band and Feist sings beautifully. She's very attractive but seems a bit diffident or awkward.
Wow, this sounds a lot like Tom Petty &THB with the keys and guitar.
God, I love when TV hosts hold up the LP instead of CDs.
Feist is such a babe
Yupp
You can't blame her, it's Glenn Kotche! Kotche Power!
Beatles did the backwards guitars
They just keep making prettier and prettier music. This is amazing.
I love the look Jeff and Leslie share at 1:28. It's like, "This is cool."
I give thanks and praise for Wilco everyday.
👋🏻❤❤❤❤❤

I just watched this four times. It sounds perfect to me. It's lovely.
Wow, that was great.
If you like Wilco, you'll love Josh Rouse! Trust me!
He sounds fucking amazing but his little dancing while playing guitar look like that of a 70 year old man lmao
Perfect music :)
No no please forgive my ignorance(not a dick at all), you're right it is a Jerry Jones, i didn't pay attention on the head, i just assumed that, because of the lipstick pick up, thank you for that
Classy move by Tweedy letting her have that line all on her own despite the whole song being a duo. Love this song!
uh no, the fad of regressing back to obsolete technology and capability has only been around for awhile, when hipsters wanted to think they were "cool" and "different" by listening to vinyl instead of CDs..

micky and Guss guss
Wilco...Maravilloso!!! Saludos desde Colombia.
concuerdo con vos es maravilloso la banda de rock
desde el 2009 la escuche y me inspiro como el tema you are my face :):)
Best current American band. Even though they've been around for like 15 years haha
amazing song, great performance. love it.
They should have found a way to mix in a little "Islands in the Stream". Love the song and Feist is adorable
Well he bollocksed up the backwards guitar solo 👎
what the hell is Nels using on that solo at the end to make that backwards sound????
@septip123 Only kind of? I mean, if you don't want her I guess I'll take her =)
Great band and song. Enjoyed “No Depression Club”. Loved the old days of No Depression / Uncle Tupelo at Lounge Axe when Sue Miller (before Tweedy was added) owned it.
qué bonita la Feist
2024 again here... with my wife. Yes, now she's my wife.
Not bad but kind of gay for Tweedy to be doing. A little crossover-y isn't it?
Woah, a real Wurlitzer!
Usually they use Nord's, right?
i love feist!
i don't like the color of that 12 string danelectro, nice song though
Shaffer was a good top banana, but a banana nonetheless.
First chords are from “My Sweet Lord”.
like shes is sooo hot in the blue... drum beats forever
What a great pair!
groovy.
Any way to cut David Letterman from this video?!
@jokez112 there is no way he can bless himself
was this song in a movie or tv show, extremely familiar
good one! lol! i think that means laugh out loud, right? you kids today and ur advanced way of communicating, us old genX'ers just aren't as cunning as you millennials.

Bloody great, innit?
Want one song with The National and Wilco!!!
Yes please!
Dude, she's 33. And freakin' super talented. She can wear whatever she wants. If you want to complain about old rocker chicks with skimpy outfits go watch anything Madonna has done in the past few years.
nothin' wrong with the "dancing" ... great performers ... very nice song!

the growing popularity of wilco could be a sign that we are exiting a time of a complete lack of any quality in popular music.
