Great video, thank you for that. I'm 44, a beginner and have only been riding for half a year, currently an 8.25", on which I recently switched from 53mm to 56mm 92A wheels and I'm thrilled. Now I'm raving about this Powell Peralta as a second board and am considering putting it on either 56mm or 58mm Spitfire 93A wheels. Which components would you choose? Thank you!
Your progression is unbelievable. I'm gonna be getting back on when the rain finally stops after being out for 6 weeks with a broken wrist! The deck has intrigued me for a while. Might be my next when they can resolve the backlogs!!
Thanks bud really appreciate that :D Broken wrist is rough mate I hope you're feeling better - You'll smash it mate coming into hot weather and healed you'll be raring to go :)
Great video Joe. Wow what a deck! I love the classic graphic. Andy Anderson is an awesome skater, I love his ability on the board and his attitude to life. Great to see you smashing the tricks and progressing so well with transition 👍🔥🔥🔥
Thanks mate really appreciate that :D I'm stoked about every single part of this board and would highly recommend - gonna be a good summer on this bad boy - stay awesome mate!
Came back to your channel after first watching when you had around 100 subs, congrats bro!!! Nothing but a grind and making strides! Love to see it. Love from Seattle!
Awesome that you got your hands in one. Great work in the 5050 nollie shuv. Nice that it was easy for you. You look comfortable on the transition. Just bend the legs a bit more. The lower you are the the less the slam later. I am big fan of flight decks. I have been skating them front the start of my adventure. Really like the tail and pocket on the Anderson. Looking forward to your summer transition sessions. Stay Rad Ambassador Walker.
Thanks bud really appreciate that - was stoked on the 50 nollie shove and fs rock n roll. Bend the knees, got it 👍 not sure I’ll be able to go back to normal decks now 😂 stay rad mate
@@joewalkerskateboarding every now and then it feels good to go back to a wood deck. I bought a Chocolate deck in a work trip and learned more tricks in a month than ever before. But I always come back to Flight. And I do like Welcome Shaped boards. I guess the Anderson is the Cadillac of shaped boards. You would have to start looking for one now to have one ready to go if you wanted to stick with Andersons. Just too hard to get.
I wanna know what it's like to Tre Flip it brand new, because any other board i've had, i can never seem to Tre flip them, until i've worn down the tail until it's flat, like how it is designed on Andys board. This board i might be able to pop them as soon as i've set it up. I'm going to order one now.
I’m a big Andy Anderson fan my self and I would love to get one of these decks but as you said there is pretty much none of them left in the UK. Congrats on the new tricks!!
@@joewalkerskateboarding Also off topic of vid. Personally l find that if l bury rock n rolls front and back that theyre actually easier due to back wheels are right below coping and the pivot back in is easier. I cant even hardly do them when just putting front trucks alittle over coping. I have to bury it or aleast half way until board rocks. Just saw that and thought ld say something. No big deal
Sweet video Joe I really enjoyed watching the sesh and getting to see how cool of a board that really is! Also I remember in the chat you said you tried bones wheels which ones I was thinking of getting the sidecuts 🤔
You know what's weird, to me the nollie shove it where the board essentially does a FS pop shove it feels more natural to me somehow. It's like if I get into a micro nose manual it just goes. Anyway, great sesh man!
Same here mate :D I would say it's the flatground trick which came easiest to me above all others - thanks for the support mate and for being at the premieres, means a lot - stay legendary
By the way, as for people driving trucks over Flight decks.. please don't try this. Because whilst the board won't come apart, it will (eventually) break internally meaning it won't last as long. I have an 8" Flight deck that I skated beyond a useful razortailed tail and it actually did break internally. I can hear it crack when I ride it. _But_ the insane part is it doesn't come apart. It is still skateable actually, if I wanted to. But I retired it and am skating a different 8" (Creature Everslick deck). I have a couple of setups I skate simultaneously, with the Andy Anderson 8.45" probably being my favourite deck. I also like the Almost Impact Light 8.25" deck I skate now as my main deck a lot. Seems a bit less daunting to learn flip tricks with. But frankly, by the time I got those, I will start skating the Anderson deck way more.
That's insane mate that the wooden plys are probably breaking but the fibre glass refuses :D Some nice deck selection there bud - you'll be shredding like Andy before long mate
@@joewalkerskateboarding Thanks, yeah I definitely am getting more comfortable on the board every time I get out. But sometimes hard to find time, have good weather and so on. But will get there. Apparently this summer will be lots of warm skate weather.
Great video man, I enjoy the way you skate nothing to huge or fast but very technical. I recentlly got this same board and im wondering if it hurts the bottoms of your feet when you skate it for a few hours at a time? I feel like the bottoms of my feet hurt worse than a normal board, But i love the way it skates.
Thanks mate that’s much appreciated, I do love my flip tricks 🙌 I found this bird extremely comfortable to skate, probably the best I ever have and has no foot pain. I wasn’t able to adjust to the shape of the board however so it affected my tricks somewhat but was perfect for transition
@@joewalkerskateboarding Thanks! I have a pair of those 144’s as well ☺️ Got ACE AF1 44’s & ACE Classic 44’s too 😉 Got the same AA deck here and I was going to save it a bit more but after seeing this video I want to set it up ☺️ Haven’t decided which trucks I’m gonna put on yet.
@@joewalkerskateboarding nice. They must be 54 mm wheels then? I was debating 144 indy trucks versus 149. I thought 149 would be a better fit, how's your experience been over all? Keep rockin' it!

Does it feel
More like a 8.5 or a 8.25? I’m riding flight popsocle 8.5 and my friend said that this AA 8.45 feels like and 8.25 deck.
Definitely more 8.25 , it felt smaller than I expected 👍
