      Not so shure, on the champion's ballad dlc, you fight wind blight gannon with a regular falcon bow, not revalli's signature great eagle bow, and on the hyrule worriors dlc, on the windblight gannon fight, you see revalli is fighting him at nighttime, botw ritos are based in birds of prey, but not on owls, and outside of owls, other birds of pray have horrible night vision, while at that time all the other champions lost their fights on their full power, if nintendo went out of their way to nerf revalli on his fight with windblight gannon so he could die, if that don't say he was the strongest champion, and would survive on better circonstances, in don't know what do.

    Honestly, I think the biggest thing that Zeltik missed is water's impressive ability to kill momentum. Given the fact that AoC shows she can generate almost a limitless amount of water from seemingly nowhere, there's nothing stopping her from surrounding herself with water and sapping her opponents stamina away by repeatedly forcing them to fight against drag. While this would doubtlessly leave Urbosa's elemental advantage against her unchanged (though Mipha is likely smart enough to catch Urbosa off guard and have her shock herself considering she has little to no experience fighting in/around water), it would render Revali's arrows useless forcing him to approach her and risking him getting soaked, which would severely cripple his flying ability.
    Still a great, thought provoking video though!

    Something I think is impressive about Revali, it is at least implied that the other champions were born with their abilities, haven’t gone lore hunting in botw at all so I can’t say if it was actually confirmed or not, but Revali made Revali’s Gale all on his own with seemingly no outside help from a bloodline or others helping him hone his abilities. He invented his own magic, and then was THAT good at it. I’m not sure if that should be extra points for his magic skill or intellect or both, but something should get bonus points for that I think

I do believe tulin got his powers from the sage, I just don't think revali did. They're traits are very different from the original champions so I actually would be interested in seeing how they match up. I would probably give it to either Yunobo or Sidon honestly. Yunobo is the only one to inherit his ancestors signature ability which basically makes him invulnerable, meanwhile Sidon at least still has Hydrokinesis and his hulking frame albeit he can't heal. Teba is incredibly skillful but unlike Revali he can't summon gales meaning he's at the mercy of his environment in terms of being able to fly high into the sky, meaning in most cases he'd have to fight on the opponents terms (albeit he's probably beter at close ranged combat as a result of that llimitation). Same goes for Riju, she depends heavily on the thunder helm to be able to control lightning and Patricia to get her around the place and fight, she's not that skilled in actual traditional combat and is easily the shortest and youngest of the bunch.

      You are right. I personally believe that Revali isn’t even 20 years old, probably around Link and Zelda’s age. In Urbosa’s diary (Champion’s Ballad DLC) she lumps him in with Link, Zelda, and Mipha as “young”, and from Revali’s own diary, he sounds like he doesn’t have a whole lot of life experience, again leading me to believe he’s younger.
      Small point I would like to make, I’m pretty sure Mipha is still young for a Zora. That’s why she’s so small, she’s literally still growing. In human years she’s probably 60-80 but that would mean she’s around 15-17 in Zora time. This is why her crush on Link is innocent young love, and not weird.

In this scenario of course, her opponents are very strong, but she has the precision of a spearfighter, rivaled only by revali. The long lifespan of the Zora and the preferred weapon they use as shown by sidon wielding spears does truely make her fightingstyle one of a kind. Because of this incredible skill, I think she would be very agile as positioning is one of the most important things when fighting with a weapon that has a longer range, thus I think she could have a chance against daruk, being able to dodge his attacks and defeating him with small attacks here and there, using his slow moves against him. Having incredible stammina because she lives in water, this makes her a master when it comes to playing the long fighting game, thus she would have got more time to strategize

    if you had Mipha and Urbosa go against Revali and Daruk, it would be interesting, since those pairings would probably be the most balanced and have each side get the most out of each other's abilities. Daruk would be able to make up for Revali's close combat weakness by challenging anyone in direct combat while Revali sets up for unguarded ranged attacks, as well as being very good at protecting Revali as well as positioning and zoning the opponent with his lava pillars, and Revali being able to help maneuver Daruk, such as using Revali's gale while Daruk rolls up to either give him height advantage to roll down onto someone, launch him into an opponent, or possibly even let him drop onto someone, all while using his protect spell. Mipha and Urbosa would also be really good, as Mipha could heal attacks from Revali and Daruk, flank opponents with her spear while Urbosa can take on even multiple opponents at once by having both a sword and a shield which she can practically use interchangeably (as well as being able to stun an opponent), being more than fast, bulky, and equipped enough to defend Mipha from any direct combat, and Mipha being able to straight up boost the power of Urbosa's Fury both in it's accuracy and damage by having control over water, negating any resistance that Daruk or Revali would have to it. I feel like Mipha and Urbosa would probably win, since Urbosa would greatly benefit from being healed and having her best attack, already the best attack any of them have, buffed by a lot, and Mipha's weakness in combat being covered by Urbosa's great speed and reaction time as well as her defensive capabilities, making trying to attack Mipha would result in being damaged yourself and letting Mipha simply heal your attacks against herself and Urbosa, and flank you with a sharp stabby hurty spear on top of it. Being able to move fast, attack and defend at the same time, and have an on demand any range kill switch on top of an even more mobile supporter who heals all attacks you don't block and makes your on demand any range kill switch more deadly and reliable would make Urbosa even more overwhelming, even with Revali and Daruk's great synergy.

One thing I think Zeltik missed is that Mipha could create giant water geysers in her moveset in AoC, so I think she could help get to Revali and knock him out of the sky (or at least catch him off guard) while he's most likely trying to take down Urbosa. Urbosa would most likely be fighting Daruk, knowing that Mipha could probably handle herself, only ever retreating for healing or to help Mipha if she does start struggling. Don't get me wrong, Urbosa is definitely the MVP in that team, but I just think Mipha could help a lot more than you said.

    • @somerandomguy3835
      @somerandomguy3835 3 года назад +22

      @@stellar1463 well the thing is though, as many have pointed in other talks about this fight and this video:
      Zelink gave Revali the benefit of the doubt by having him always keep his distance, which is kind of a given, because of his ability of flight, stay clear, shoot from afar and all that, of course as further cutscenes have shown his arrows are not unlimited.
      Now this is were things get interesting, and the reason why most people anonymously agree Link would have ended up winning. Whatever Revali tried before, failed, and quite literally got him sent flying, and it's very likely he tried attacking from a distance and it proved to be ineffective, so he then he tried a different approach, and it was here that Revali made the fatal mistake, of getting in close.
      This is where things start getting ridiculous about Link, characters in game and theorists have pointed out, that he has some kind of ability, where his perception of time is significant slowed down, and he even has this ability on Aoc though the game doesn't tell you this, and I'm not talking about flurry rushes.
      The point is, it's not a case of Revali being dumb or not, as impressive as Revali's manoeuvre was, Links reaction speed is just significantly faster, hence why he still ended up blocking the arrow at point blank. You also need to remember, Link bested wind blight Ganon, where as Revali failed and died, and he could do this without the master sword in hand.

      The fact that she regularly gets on his case for his ego is more than enough to make Revali want to prove her wrong, and coupled with how clever Urbosa is in a fight, she'd pick up on this.
      I'd wager she'd call him a coward for staying airborn, and say he's not good enough to face her up close, which would get the better of Revali's fragile ego. Then to prove her point she'd unleash her fury, grounding the winged archer.
      Annoyed that his advantage of flight was stripped away by her lightning, he'd probably try to maneuver around her, without much luck. Her shield and parry abilities would quickly deflect and disarm him, with a fatal blow not far behind.

      @@kaitoudark1 I doubt this scenario is likely. Revali is a skilled warrior, with an ego yes, but he knows his advantages. Against link, we see him avoid head on contact, and he probably would’ve landed a clean hit of Zelda didn’t stop it. (Though he doesn’t block the attack, revali did hesitate, but I think there’s a 50/50 chances of this working, just because Link is a beast.)
      And honestly, the very unlikely situation you described is probably the only way Urbosa wins, depending on how accurate her lightning is.
      We saw Revali keep Link on the defensive, though it was his own territory, but his arsenal is much wider.
      Really, you can argue about who’s strongest, bust Revali is the most skilled by far, only second to Link skill wise.
      Though, I think he stands a chance at beating Link, over the others.
      I kinda rule off Mipha off the bat, and the only thing saving Daruk is his strength, but we see Link reflecting Lynel blows with ease(debatable, I guess), so I don’t know how solid that is. I do think Daruk is considerable stronger then a Lynel, but I could see Link parrying it anyways. But I have no doubt that either way, Link wins.
      That leaves urbosa and revali.
      (I don’t know how this became the champions vs link but ok)
      I think Urbosa can probably hang with Link for a long time, but I have no doubt Link is more skilled.
      And when it comes to Revali, it’s probably the closest fight, in canon. But with a bow, this is a win for Link, probably. (Revali probably more skilled with a bow, and quicker with wings, but I also don’t see Link letting himself take damage)
      But back to the original point, 7/10 Revali beats urbosa.

Let's give the champions the benefit of they have fireproof potions to keep from burning up in the intense heat, that wouldn't change Revali being put at a huge disadvantage as his main source of offensive being his bomb arrows it taken away from him. He'd be limited to using normal arrows which could also burn up in the intense heat before they reach their mark. Revali's gale may also be a detriment to him here as any fires from his arrows burning up could lead to him fanning their flames making them burn more quickly leaving his stash of arrows dwindling very quickly. I believe Revali's also the only champion with a wooden weapon so it'd also eventually catch fire which would be even worse in a drawn out battle against Daruk or Urbosa waiting for the right moment to strike him with lightning. This would be single handedly the worst place Revali could fight one of the other champions especially Daruk and his tough hide shrugging off his arrows and no bomb arrows to overwhelm his protection. She has experience using the sheikah slate, and unlocked her sealing power that was able to hold off Ganon for 100 years and implied that she has the full triforce, as her wish of protecting everyone caused terrako to wake up and and travel through time to create a new timeline. So indirectly Zelda was strong enough and utilize the full triforce to change reality itself.

    Is Revali's Gale even magic? It's not like he was gifted with it, he had to practice over and over so I assumed it was more of a science?

    • @chefboyardong1008
      @chefboyardong1008 3 года назад +77

      I think the magic side of it is the manipulation of wind. Seeing as all of the other champions can wield specific elements (aside from link, who wields the triforce of courage instead) i.e. Daruk has earth/fire, Mipha has water, and Urbosa obviously has Lightning, it would make sense for Revali to be able to manipulate/ bend air and wind. This would also explain his speed and agility in the air relative to other Rito, as well as how he is able to glide so fast for so long without needing to flap his wings as much as one would expect. I believe the part of this ability that he perfected (the part you are calling scientific) is specifically tunneling the wind he can manipulate into an updraft, which we see him perfecting in one of the memories from botw. Him having the ability to basically airbend also explains how holding his wing above the ground in a specific way to make the air around him flow upwards is even possible.

    • @kaitlyn3386
      @kaitlyn3386 3 года назад +41

      Good question but I think it’s a mix of both, mostly magic however. We were told that Rito’s can only glide very well, they don’t exactly “fly.” And the scene of Revali practicing the Gale, one tiny wing flap creates an updraft which is where I think the magic comes in. Then the science comes in when he has to learn how to keep balance while rocketing upwards.

    • @chefboyardong1008
      @chefboyardong1008 3 года назад +5

      @@kaitlyn3386 Yeah that makes sense too. But then that doesn't explain how link is able to do it so easily. When Link gains access to Revali's gale he is instantly able to stay within the funnel perfectly fine, which any other theory would lead you to believe took Revali years of practice. Which is why I think the magic part is the manipulation of wind and the skill part is specifically forming it into a funnel. I think when Revali was practicing it he wasn't necessarily practicing staying inside of the funnel, but instead he was practicing making a funnel that was able to keep him inside of it.

Mipha and her family clearly have sharklike traits, and sharks are 85% muscle mass. It takes much more power to propel through water than the air, and Mipha swims up a waterfall with so much force she shoots out when she gets to the top.
