It has to be hard to play a Barbarian with low intelligence.....wanting to do more than just hit...you can tell he wants to do more...all the rest have cool abilities & magic...he just gets to run up & hit. He was restricted by having to play as Bodger ( he said that in the beginning when they didn't have a cleric) I give him credit for still role playing as Bodger & keeping in character....I think that's why he is so chaotic just for more to do.
It's so Baradun'y to just giving his real name and the whole backstory😅 P.S. Watching the end of the video... Rob, if you're held against your will - blink twice!
15:00 "Are you fighters yourselves?" BOB: "I'm pretty tough & strong" - Like a tough bit of meat that has been tenderised by so much bludgeoning damage he's now turned into pate...
"Mithril alloy, sorry" - See, I know this distinction would not have been noticed by anyone but Rob himself, but I appreciate he still felt the need to correct himself. Mad respect!
Before he corrected himself I was actually thinking "a pure mithril warhammer? That's some extravagant shit!". So I like to believe he corrected himself for nerds like myself in the audience. Yet it was probably just him being thorough in his world building since he's a high level DM.
Rob really shines in this one. Not just the brilliant DMing, I actually cried when he was talking about the battle where his grandfather died :( Great acting, Rob!
Love the attention to detail! Greg holding that tiny teacup in the b roll scenes where they're talking at Madame Bobaron's, Rob sticking to the rhyming first and last names for Goliaths, the words etched on the Dwarven Thrower(?!?!), great stuff
Too bad Greg used all the charges of his charm glasses. Could have been useful here for the Hammer for a quick "Give me my hammer." "Bodger that." (Legend of Zelda chime plays)
Gotta love were the guys take the game thou,It would be such a twist if they stayed focused and all went to plan for once ....but I'd say that an impossible task
I guess its more beautiful when a story comes together from different sources. Yeah, things may get mucked up, but you also get developments that you couldn't have gotten from a single story-teller.
Relieve Awkward Tension (Enchantment) Components: S, M (Poppy) Range: 30' Duration: until they just STOP this Description: Caster summons Poppy the sheep. Everyone not immediately involved in a hostile conversation must save versus charming at a -7 or awkwardly feel compelled to walk to Poppy and start petting it and telling it what it a good sheep it is. Those who pass their saving throw will feel the same compulsion, but will be able to resist it ... if they REEAALLLY want to ... Are you sure? She's a guuuud sheep! Who's a guuuud sheep? She is!
They forgot to mention that Greg is also a shopkeeper ! (and task dispenser) Loved it as usual. Bodger keep plowing on no matter who he upsets or how tense the enviroment gets!
Had to comment. This is one of THE best episodes so far! The back n forth between Rob and Rowan was brilliant. I don't know how Rob is so smooth, either he has every dialog planned on that tablet or is just crazy good at Improv. Then Rowan not missing a beat. Wow!
Loved this episode! :) Rob is (as always) remarkably touching (and sometimes heartbreaking) in his acting, he succeeds in bringing the real drama in this sessions and showing the depth of his NPC characters and their relations with the adventuring party, allowing players to be involved more in this world and to develop their characters. So the episodes without any fighting action are sometimes even more captivating and awesome, thanks to this acting and the tension and all the mixed feelings it creates. It's great when the players feel the vibe and react on the same wavelength (like Rowan did in this dramatic scene with Rob - I've watched it many times and absolutely love it).
I really do feel for Rob lol. He has some serious patience and improv skills. Always so much fun watching these episodes though and always sore from laughing lol
7:20 Excellent recap from BoB! (Who is btw the perfect impersonation of "I'm not drunk" but not noticing things happening right next to him LOL) I'm so happy it's Thursday!!
I do seriously feel for Rob. He has such patience. And I'd just like to say that he is one hell of an actor too....do you remember when he full on started to cry when Bodger said "Locket, Locket, Locket!" LOL
The interaction between Aaron and Bodger about the hammer was a caliber of acting that seemed almost too powerful for a simple d&d RUclips video. I love this series!
Blood bath, BLOOD BATH! BLOOD BOWL! BLOOD BOWL! Love you BOB. More power to you. Really. Also for once I am on Bodgers side. He is right. Hammer was obviously stolen from him. Go, team Bodger!
Wait!! Are you saying that Bob sticks his junk into the front end of Poppy?! And I guess Bob hopes it comes out OK from the other end?! I have heard there are a lot of sheep in New Zealand but this meta gaming has gone to a whole new level
I still love the fact we are 104 episodes in. Roughly over 4000minutes (66hrs, almost 3 solid days) of game play. And Rob is still teaching the basic mechanics on how things work like hiding!! Don't change VLDL. Don't ever change!
I literally can't say enough good things about this series, I don't think an episode goes by that I'm not in tears from laughing so much. Also Robert is such a good freakin DM!
Even episodes that feature very little dice rolling are so compelling! I agree completely that Rob’s acting needs a big shoutout this week, and every week. Really bringing the frustration & emotion with Aaron, and then shifting gears right into doting Mother. How he doesn’t give himself whiplash with those quick shifts, I don’t know. Mad props! I feel for Bodger though. Poor guy. He should’ve gotten the cursed axe back from Padraic and swapped it for the hammer, since Aaron’s only keeping it around for decoration! I bet that axe would look just as nice. Lol. The way that B.O.B, Greg and Baradun aren’t just sitting quietly as passive observers to all this drama is what really makes these episodes come to life! Their background antics are hilarious! Baradun’s oddly specific peccadillos…I mean, c’mon, the luck of the roll for there to be a wood elf at the brothel! B.O.B’s nat 20 Con roll & deciding that just a Goliath woman wasn’t enough this time. ;D And Greg just tuning everything out to focus on Poppy, or a nice cup of tea!!
Greg with his little cup of tea! It's so perfect and adorable. Despite occasionally wanting to murder people he really is a wholesome garlic farmer and actOR.
That was some world-class acting from the team. The discussion between Bodger and his brother at the end where they discuss their grandfathers death actually made me all teary eyed.
Holy shit I’m so STOKED for this fight/story coming up!!!! Rob, you are a truly talented man. How you manage the likes of Bodger and Bob… it’s an art form! 👌🏽 AND you manage to include drama, intrigue and comedy! Hats off to you sir!

This was funny as hell, I was laughing uncontrollably as I watched this. My hats off to you all! I even loved the "subscribe" bit where Rob was crying into his phone about his planning. A series I am sure I'll relive again and again - and it's not even over yet 😀
The clues Rob leaves for these guys and they are so oblivious is just too funny. You know the VLDL skit with the obvious clues with Greg... That is legit Rob with these guys.
Rob at the start...Worried he did not have enough prepared content to fill the time. Now...Wishes he could get to his content. This group is more random than the dice. How do you prep for that? Fantastic DM.
I'm actually really enjoying this session. I'm honestly team Bodger here. That little line Rob/Aaron dropped about "I was your commander..." tells me big brother is pulling rank to get double goodies.

Or at least work like "spoon of plenty" which would give bodger relatively infinite foods and drinks.
Or it may be made of the rarest material in all of Azarim)

“Shes a mage away at school right now. “ oh yeah nothings going to go wrong for Baradun now that he revealed his backstory to her father.
Especially after Rob clearly indicated that Aaron has financial problems.
"She doesn't work here, does she?"
"No,"
"Oh, thank God!" 😂😂😂
Haha Rob's "I'm dying inside" smile should end every episode😂😂
Rowan’s head: I’ll just ask Aaron for the hammer, Rob will give me the hammer and we’ll be on our way.
Rob’s head: I’m going to embellish the sh*t out of this now that I finally have some backstory from one of them to work with.
Pretty sure that Rowan knew that getting back the hammer won't be easy. He just went straight to the point, as Bodger would do.
Bob's ramping up the perv, next brothel: 'yes, i'll take the goliath female, the male dwarf and do you have something like a goat or a big fish?'
Greg quickly hides Poppy before Bob starts scanning the room
At the brothel
Madam: "Alright, which one would you like"
Bob: "both"
Daaaaammmmmnnn not even gonna lie when Bodger and Aaron talking about their grandfather's memory on battlefield kinda got me a little teary eyed I'm fully invested in this ❤🧡💛💚
they really sold it both very well
The last part of Rob is just so hilarious. I love this man, and all of you too
I thought Bodger might swap his spoon for the hammer only to find out afterwards that the spoon is an even more awesome magical weapon of some sort.
According to Alan Rickman, Sheriff of Nottingham, its the most gruesome weapon to rip someone's heart out.
Everyone thinks that Bodger's family is more successful and talented than Bodger, but can they make weapons from half-eaten sandwiches? Can they??? #teambodger

Best ending card yet.
Bodger telling everyone about his huge family fude.
The family "BODGER!!!! WHOOOOO"
Not one asked about baelin though being bodgers twin all maybe there's something else going on beyond the hammer 🤔
Bodge Bodge!
the broken rob at 34:15 is literally me.
Bodger's mom's reaction when he showed up has to be the cutest moment in this series so far!
The bit with Bob wanting a fight to the death is brilliant.
BOB doesn't know any other way to fight.
He really is one EPIC dm they have here. Being able to keep his sanity, let alone his composure during this... He's a pro.
It's so Baradun'y to just giving his real name and the whole backstory😅
P.S. Watching the end of the video... Rob, if you're held against your will - blink twice!
I'm sure none of the guys sitting at the table have high enough perception to notice that subtle signal.
The only bad thing about this series is the week I have to wait for the next one 😭
I 💯 feel ya
I so wish there were 2 or 3 episodes a week 😅
this is BY FAR the best campaign I've ever witnessed. This is a journey that I hold dear.
15:00 "Are you fighters yourselves?" BOB: "I'm pretty tough & strong" - Like a tough bit of meat that has been tenderised by so much bludgeoning damage he's now turned into pate...
The outro was probably my favourite thing in this episode - and there were lots of great things in this episode.
I love how conflicted Bodger is upon learning about his niece
"Mithril alloy, sorry" - See, I know this distinction would not have been noticed by anyone but Rob himself, but I appreciate he still felt the need to correct himself.
Mad respect!
Before he corrected himself I was actually thinking "a pure mithril warhammer? That's some extravagant shit!". So I like to believe he corrected himself for nerds like myself in the audience. Yet it was probably just him being thorough in his world building since he's a high level DM.
"We need to teach him how to interact with people"
When that comes from the guy usually covered in blood and guts, you have a problem :P
I mean, to be fair, Bob is usually quite pleasant and friendly outside of battle.
@@MorrahaDesigns Except when he's stealing masks, and traumatising innocent people with his telepathic demon voice... 🤯😱
@@Cathie2209 well...I did say "usually". 🤣
Heartbroken for Greg who wanted to finish his tea but couldn’t bear to stay in the uncomfortable environment haha.
Rob truly is the best DM. He is so flexible and patient I just love it
Rob's like "man, roleplaying a brothel for them before was a little awkward... I know!! I'll make Bodger's mum a madame!" LMAO
This and d&d logic are the highlights of my week :D ty so much rob
No, thank you!
Rob really shines in this one. Not just the brilliant DMing, I actually cried when he was talking about the battle where his grandfather died :( Great acting, Rob!
I wish Rowan had said "I am not entertained...this is not why I am here!!!" To the entertainment room
"HALF-BLOOD, HALF-BLOOD, HALF-BLOOD" "AIIEEEEEEEE"
This is the Créme de la Créme of everything on RUclips! Of absolutely everything on RUclips. You guys are fantastic!
Could have been useful here for the Hammer for a quick
"Give me my hammer."
"Bodger that."
(Legend of Zelda chime plays)
W... wait...
Aaron has a daughter. She's callen "Karen".
Does she have prociciency on "Speak to the Manager" skill?
Summon manager.
Would Karen the Snowflake be berserker or zealot barbarian?
Whose mother is Kirk, related to Dirk perhaps?!
Rob is the mvp of this whole series lol.
Bodge Bodge roflmao! Rob's outtake "I don't know how much more I can take of this I plan and I plan"!!! Great episode!
Gotta love were the guys take the game thou,It would be such a twist if they stayed focused and all went to plan for once ....but I'd say that an impossible task
What a crazy twist that would be 😂
Adderall must not exist in New Zealand.
I guess its more beautiful when a story comes together from different sources.
Yeah, things may get mucked up, but you also get developments that you couldn't have gotten from a single story-teller.
Robert, I really think you're an amazing DM! Thanks for episodes Guys! Can't wait for more! Cheers!

Great Episode again. i Love the Character stuff more than the fighting. great improv and development .
They forgot to mention that Greg is also a shopkeeper ! (and task dispenser)
Loved it as usual. Bodger keep plowing on no matter who he upsets or how tense the enviroment gets!
Completely glossed over his Tinkerer skills too. lol I mean, the dude has a Mechanical cannon sheep in his pocket. lol
@@pbsixgun6 Right! 😂
Man, watching Bodger sniff the giant's toe...
It was a bad choice to be eating dinner while watching this...
Same for lunch.
I was doing the same!
After every session i can picture Rob sitting in his car and taking long drags from a cigarette mentally exhausted. Love the series btw
You guys really have the knack for acting. I felt the tension there with bodger. Great acting rowan
Rob is (as always) remarkably touching (and sometimes heartbreaking) in his acting, he succeeds in bringing the real drama in this sessions and showing the depth of his NPC characters and their relations with the adventuring party, allowing players to be involved more in this world and to develop their characters.
(Who is btw the perfect impersonation of "I'm not drunk" but not noticing things happening right next to him LOL)
I'm so happy it's Thursday!!
It would be fun if Karen went all teenage fangirl for Baradun if they met XD
I do seriously feel for Rob. He has such patience. And I'd just like to say that he is one hell of an actor too....do you remember when he full on started to cry when Bodger said "Locket, Locket, Locket!" LOL
The interaction between Aaron and Bodger about the hammer was a caliber of acting that seemed almost too powerful for a simple d&d RUclips video. I love this series!
Bob's reminding me of the Sheriff Of Nottingham here. "You, my room. 10:30. You, 10:45. And bring a friend."
Blood bath, BLOOD BATH! BLOOD BOWL! BLOOD BOWL!
Love you BOB. More power to you. Really.
Also for once I am on Bodgers side. He is right. Hammer was obviously stolen from him. Go, team Bodger!
Rob as Aaron, "Seems your pride isn't as important to you anymore, how goes your business in Honeywood?" DANG.
These Bodger backstory episodes are some of my favorites, I hope we get some backstory episodes for the others.
Ease back on the liquor there Bob, don't want to have to explain to Greg why you are photocopying your junk again!
Wait!! Are you saying that Bob sticks his junk into the front end of Poppy?! And I guess Bob hopes it comes out OK from the other end?! I have heard there are a lot of sheep in New Zealand but this meta gaming has gone to a whole new level
Ah, NZ, where the men are men and the sheep are low on toner.

I hereby declare the annotation screen of this ep to be the bes of all VLDL and VLDL DnD videos EVER.
Seconded!
I swear, the spoon is gonna be the most powerful item.
I still love the fact we are 104 episodes in. Roughly over 4000minutes (66hrs, almost 3 solid days) of game play.
And Rob is still teaching the basic mechanics on how things work like hiding!!
Don't change VLDL. Don't ever change!
Tuesdays and Thursdays saved for D&D. Thanks guys, you make my week! ❤
B.O.B.'s bloodlust for the fight to the death is absolutely insane, i love it
Holy shit I’m so STOKED for this fight/story coming up!!!!
Rob, you are a truly talented man. How you manage the likes of Bodger and Bob… it’s an art form! 👌🏽 AND you manage to include drama, intrigue and comedy! Hats off to you sir!

Good work catching up! 😁
This was funny as hell, I was laughing uncontrollably as I watched this. My hats off to you all! I even loved the "subscribe" bit where Rob was crying into his phone about his planning.
A series I am sure I'll relive again and again - and it's not even over yet 😀
"I plan and I plan... " hahah he trys to make it a joke, but we know its not... its not....
The clues Rob leaves for these guys and they are so oblivious is just too funny. You know the VLDL skit with the obvious clues with Greg... That is legit Rob with these guys.
I can't be the only one who instantly checked how much longer the episode went for when they started chanting "Brother Fight - Brother Fight"
I definitely checked if there was enough time
@@bradleyclerkin6190 and then he said in 2 days... I died lol 💀

Fantastic DM.
Rob lose no hope your the glue keeping this amazing ride together and on track. I literally love this series.
"Could I get a drink of MY HAMMER?!" Lmao jfc Bodger
I'm actually really enjoying this session. I'm honestly team Bodger here. That little line Rob/Aaron dropped about "I was your commander..." tells me big brother is pulling rank to get double goodies.
Can I just say thank you Rob for your patience and helping create my favorite series on RUclips with my favorite channel!
