@@manoszervas9613 In a rolling race the M2 C is beast, it kills the RS3 and A45 S....it’s only slower in a Drag Race because of RWD, but RWD is for people who know how to properly drive a car and got some balls
To be honest, the results were not surprising. Especially if you understand the power to weight ratios and drivetrain of the GR Yaris. AWD in that weather/ road conditions is perfect 👌🏻 for the Yaris, a true modern day homologation rally car.
Bought a GR myself, and first thing I did was put a PPF protective wrap, in a matt finish! Incredible value for money ! 👌

Launching an M2 in the wet is next to impossible without bucket loads of wheel spin. You can try and feather it, but it’ll probably be even slower.

I'm actually a bmw ,fanboy' you might say, but I also like the gr yaris a lot. You've got to admit they did hell of a job with the yaris. Comparing their prizes I'd choose the yaris all over the m2. I'm not sure though how the 3zylindre engine handles on long term driving and how reliable and durable it is. Nevertheless a great car with lots of performance. Keep going. Bmw needs to step up their performance for their salty prizes otherwise they'll sell much less cars. The new 4series and m3/m4 and the iX are just the worst case scenario you can imagine. I'm really asking myself what at bmw is going on lately 🤔😰
In real world conditions, wet, dry, corners, crappy roads, the 4WD rally car would murder the M2. I'd feel way safer at speed in the Toyota in real conditions, not on a runway 🙄

i would say it would have been closer if the m2 was a manual since the yaris was loosing time during shifts, it actually kept up with the m2 until the first gear change

@@mainman2999 It's a luxury sedan. Camaros, Mustangs, and Challengers all weigh similar amounts. M4s and M3s weigh 3800s. It's not fat. 3500 is the sweet spot.

( 2100lbs !! now thats SWEET!) ha ha I must get a Caterham 7 with a 260bhp BDG engine and weighing in under 600 kilos/ 1350lbs... thats serious power to weight ratio..

For me, living in the French Alpes (1.850 m / 6070 ft), in the same valley than Sébastien Ogier, the GR is just perfect for daily use.

Hey, I like this channel. I subbed. The Yaris impressive! Inherently, the all wheel cars will get off the line quicker than RWD. Traction of course in the wet. Is it ever not wet in U.K.? Every drag race bid seems to be wet which is a better test IMHO. Real world. Enjoy the content, cheers.
The UK has about 1 dry week each year 🤣 - the rest of the time it's cold and wet, perfect GR conditions

If you live in the UK best not buy an M2C - wet roads and terrible road surfaces are what we have to live with. The GR is a weapon whatever the weather / surface

@@relentlesspursuit6894 in reality if u have a drag race between the Yaris and the M2 over a longer distance the M2 would easily catch up and overtake the Yaris. The race just ended before that could happen.
Never talked about what driving mode the M2 Comp is in. If you are in efficient mode of course you would get stomped since throttle response is toned back.
The Yaris is a four wheel drive rally car that is 300 hp at about 1100kg. And the Yaris is on a short chassis and has been engineered as a sports car with that in mind. It is not a normal Yaris and has been built from the ground up.

I stay with the yaris, it has already shown that stopped the BMW and with 3 turbo cylinders, a few more pounds and a couple of toys and in high it destroys the BMW, for price the Yaris gr is the champion
