I am a Pontiac girl I was raised around every year of Pontiac you can imagine and all the Pontiacs I seen in this video I want them all so bad but I can't but beautiful absolutely the beautifulest car I've seen on there yet I know there's Chevy's I like Chevys too and I like some Ford's but the Pontiac the beautifulest of them all
Thanks Wayne, your adventure through this world was hypnotic. The cars are exactly where they should be, resting amongst the trees in a state of solitude and bliss.👍
Oh jus about started to cry when I seen my dad's favorite and awesome cars the Edsel, of course all 3 of his are 58s, a 4 dr HARDTOP the other 2 are 4 dr Sedans, 😭😭. Sure wish he'd sell a car or two, as they are going disinergrate to dust after we all leave this world, but that's ok that's his wish, n I respect that. Great video!!! More please!👌✌️👍
Glad you liked the video, it is sad but those cars have been sitting there a long time and no one wanted them when they were for sale, hence why he switched to being a museum of sorts. Thank you for watching. :)
Art… when a picture speaks a thousand words. Through this lens the words echo as if both hallowed and haunting, the echos could not be captured as if to say “did you hear that too”. Nostalgic, epiphany, or epitaph, the fact remains that one day these treasure will simply be carbon stained soil. Yet I’m not so sure they should be restored, I have to believe it would be sacrilege.
Eric, I love this comment so much. Thank you so much for watching and "getting it". They can't all be restored, the owner had everything for sale for decades and was losing money. Now they are art for everyone to see as they live out their final years. Cheers brother.
Wow!!! What an AMAZING place! I'm definitely going to have to try and get out there! I love love love old cars! Just another excuse for another road trip! Thanks Wayne! So glad I found you on Instagram!
Just think, every single one of these cars were sitting in a dealership. Someone walked in, the salesman sprung into action, after 10 hrs of haggling back and forth, a deal was struck..the new owner brought her home showed her off to all the neighbors and friends at work, took the family out for a ride, family vacations, etc.. Now, here they sit, rotting away...its sad to me to see these old cars in this state of decay..I love the old cars, so much style and character.. At least they are there for all who wish can come and see the neat old stuff of yesteryear..I'm gonna be in Savannah in a few weeks, might take a drive up and see this for myself.. Great video...😃
Gary, it sounds like you'd really enjoy visiting there. If you do, say hello to Dean for me. Have a safe trip and thank you for checking out my video. :)
So many mixed emotions about this video the video is amazing to see so many cars in one place is mind-boggling. To know that they will never ever breathe that Breath of Life again that enters their Motors makes me sad. But I guess someday we all got to rest and that's what he's gave them. Like you said that place is insane
Yeah, It was hard to see so many classics just rotting away but like he said, they were all for sale up until about 6-7 years ago and no one wanted them, so, being a photographer, I'd much rather the chance to see them this way than not at all. :)
Great artistic camera work and photography and an amazing place to see. I was actually searching for high quality video of this place to see clear close up photos of the cars. This is the best I have seen. Nice work with all your techniques I noticed through out the videos.
Thank you so much Jeff! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. One day I'll return there and probably do another one as it's my personal version of Disneyland. Thanks again for watching. :)
Ya, I agree with everybody, really awesome video and how you put it together was real professional, made it go over-the-top with that personal interview of the Son shown first, which made the whole video more personal, real and interesting. I have some questions now, I noticed some of the pictures were taken at night or dusk, did they let you stay late one day? How much-$ per visit?, Did you have enough time to see all the cars? And how many pictures did you take?
The website has the rates for different needs, (photos vs no camera). They're open 8am until 4pm, I had to make special arrangements to stay after dark. I was there 4 days and one night and still (as a photographer) don't feel like I saw everything.
It's not a junkyard anymore. It's an attraction. Unfortunately there's a some real gems in there that'll never be replaced . Art? I suppose to the right person....
Well Larry, like was stated he was selling cars and parts up until 8 years ago. There wasn't a demand for either anymore so now he's changed his business model and making a living. Art? Well that's a personal opinion but as far as the "unfortunate poor old gems", nobody wanted them so there they sit now.
It's kinda sad to see this. All of these cars are part of American history. They were used to haul families around the state or even the country. They were used to make a living. Some were even the pride and joy of a few people. Now, they are all scrap and just rotting away. It makes you wonder about the past and realize that everything eventually comes to an end. 😢
Yes, everything does come to an end. It's hard to say goodbye sometimes to the things that made up our world. I'm just happy that there are places like this that I can visit and create art from the objects of the past, giving them one more way to shine into the future.
Nice greetings from Germany Bavaria 👋🍀& thank you for this Video👍 You saied you "don't like old cars & Junk" but so you know that the most recycled Item in USA is the Automobile...???? And with Recycling it doesn't means crushing and cubing it! It means that places like this where classic cars (and also younger Cars) goes NOT to the crusher and so those beautiful Cars could be there, they could used as project cars for restorations, or also for parts what really helps keeping classic cars on the roads or restoring another one.... And many more, but the importand thing is that those old cars doesn't go crushed. Really, every crushed classic car is a big loose for all, for car guys, for History &&&. Everybody has to think about before he/she junkes an old car. Because there is even anyone in the world who need or is searching for this Car. And when a car gets crushed, it's all lost. And crushing classic cars is a crime, it's too sad. I could tell you about how bad it is to life in a country where a "Gouvernemental Recycling Mafia" closed all old Junk yards and crushed all the classic cars. That's really a big bad thing. I had to rebuild every single sheet metal part with own hands, even because this bad crushing cars is the Problem. And a car that stand in an junk yard like this doesn't make any problem. It's not an "atomic junk" or something else like that, it's only mostly steel. And you see how amazing it is to see that cars at a place like this. Or when you find a abandoned junk yard or Car, that's soo amazing, a big adventure i think😋👋
That sucks about your government's agenda to crush them all. Perhaps one day you can make it to see this beautiful collection. Thank you so much for the kind words and the for watching. Cheers from Canada, :)
Looks like a nothings for sale and the county will eventually haul them away at his expense . and charge him causing him to loose his property ,and all the cars will go to the scrap heap. Happens more often than not
Eric, if you watched the video, he's making more by charging people to come in a wander and photograph them than he was trying to sell them in whole or as parts. Nobody wants them. But as long as there's people like me interested in seeing them he'll be fine.
This is just sad, if alot of them could be restored to former glory it would be alot better than looking at a photograph . Maybe it makes sense to some but to me it's like the billionaire who has over 300 vintage 1950s Gibson Les Paul guitars knowing that you can't play all them at once or need to have that many. It's something that wont be made again and if someone has the money then let'em buy one so that it can roll like it was meant to. Vanity of vanities.
Yeah I agree Christopher. But note that he eventually switched to the photography and museum based business model because no one was buying his parts anymore, let alone full cars. The demand just wasn't there anymore.
@@Wayneontheroad I think it's fine if he wants to keep some cars for photos being art is subjective. There is a still a huge demand for old vehicles. It is just that everyone who has seen an old car in the shape those are in have asked and the owner either dont want to sell or is asking an arm & leg for something that will take way more to just restore and then it's not worth it for the buyer. If he sold them at a scrap metal price atleast the cars would get a second life & be bringing more happiness to people for a longer period of time. We will always have the pictures being they are on the internet but not the vehicles themselves in years to come. It's his vehicles and his choice but I rather let people have the best of both worlds than just one. Great video though.
It is a shame Dave, but to be honest if you think back to how many of these more "average" cars were made back then it makes sense that they can't ALL be restored. I'm just happy to be able to see and photograph them instead of them being locked away to rot unnoticed.
Wow just wow that place is now on my list to check out. My fav photo is of the bus with the light in it.
It's an amazing spot Spongie! Thanks for watching.

Thank you so much for watching Daniel. It's an amazing place. I hope to get back there again and simply shoot stills again.
@@Wayneontheroad You would have to drag me out of this place. The photo opportunities are endless. I hope you make it back. 😎
I had 45 minutes to explore this, before my Flight left. However, got some great photos, even in the rain!
It's an amazing place for sure. I want to go back again.
Very cool................i have been searching for a 72 Nova, that is affordable.........I hope one day, I find it.
Good luck in your search and thanks for watching. :)

Oh I love the oldies! And antiques, abandoned places, exploring, hiking, camping, etc... anything rustic!
Great video!!
Thanks for watching Shane!

59 cadillac 2 door and 57 bel air abandoned?
Yup, and to think no one wanted those cars before he shut the doors to the sale of cars and parts.
wouuuu
You could sell the cars so they can be restored
No one was interested in them for years. So he changed his business model and now they're not for sale.
Lookiñg for a 49 Ford club coup stock or a bisines club coup stock or 53 54 Mercury moter stock
Good Luck. I'm not the owner of the place.
Pontiac Gto
