Shocking how much we throw away. My brother drove a golden hawk in high school that he and my dad fixed up I miss that car to this day. TFS I rarely get excited about new cars. The old cars are my favorite 🤩. Enjoyed the trip down memory lane. Blessings from California.
This is a great junk yard. Most other yards have cars that have damage or are rusted bad. Nice to see cars with interiors that are somewhat complete. You need to make more videos of this yard.
Enjoying your videos! Came across your channel today when I saw the hoarder house series. Really enjoying following along! Also, I agree. I've got a '68 Firebird I put an Ls1 in and currently upgrading/updating the suspension.
Well I have definitely just seen a great adventure. If you did another 100 films of these old cars in detail, I would watch them ALL. I LOVE OLD AMERICAN CARS !!!
+JOHNNIE: LORD OF THE MungoidHen PEOPLE I'm so glad you like the video! They just don't make cars like these anymore, subscribe as I'm going on more adventures soon!
Im from Australia- I’ve always wondered why North Americans love their 2 door cars so much. Here- we love our 4 doors, do them up, hot rod them, race them. Thanks for the vid and Good luck with your police car build.
Two-door cars are sporty-er they're lighter that makes them faster. I think of a four-door as grandfather's car or grandmother's car. And if you drive a four door car you must have children.
Most cars were designed as 2 door cars. The design is compromised by adding two extra doors. 4 doors are getting more popular in the states because they cost a lot less than a 2 door.
For Alex and Melissa and family My Dad used to have a wrecking yard around Georgian Bay Ontario from 1964-1969 or maybe a bit earlier. It is nice to see these classic cars again. We would have a lot of cars from the 50's; also a wooden panel truck, an army truck etc. We had 124 acres but we used about two farmer fields for the cars. He used the cars for parts and then would get the guy to come from Barrie and crush them when they were stripped. Sometimes I think it would have been "neat" to have kept the hood ornaments. I think they would be worth a lot. This video brings back good memories. The business is probably still running today; by somebody else of course. It it on a rural road not far from town. We moved to the Queen Charlotte Islands in the fall of 1969. We have moved since. I am back in Ontario; most of my family is on Vancouver Island, so I enjoyed your videos of that as well and passed them on to the family as well. Good halibut and chips on the Fisherman's Wharf in Victoria where you where. Going for a visit this spring and plan to go there again. It will be worth it.
Great video of this old junk yard!! A long time ago I would have given anything to wonder like yourself through a yard like this, however, to restore any of these cars it would cost not one but two Fortunes and then some. I used to enjoy the hobby till it became unbearably expensive! Good Luck on Police Car project!!
Very entertaining, I couldn't help but notice the early Ford Econoline vans early in your visit to the scrapyard. Bought my brother his first van for $15.00 which he drove for almost a year, back in 1973.

It is always disturbing when you find someone who has all this vintage gold and just lets it lay out in the weather to rot. Sell them or give them to someone who can put them to use before they disolve. Imagine the parts value alone of most of those cars and trucks.
Lord, you sound like a very rich man. If this yard were yours no doubt you'd have built buildings large enough to hold everything. Imagine the parts value? Duh, it's a salvage yard and how the man makes a living, you snob rich dud! If it's disturbing then don't watch. Yeah, I said dud not dude.
Great vid, cracks me up when people say these are wasted, these are the 1% that remain for the other 1% they can’t afford to be restored, the other 98% went in the ground 50 years ago, try digging them up
A lot of once wonderful cars originally junked for one reason or another, most of them now ready for the crusher. These aren't projects; they're nightmare money pits. If you buy an antique car, you'll pay less in the long run if you buy one already restored.
A guy does not restore a car to save money you restore because they are hard to find an you want to put your owen touch on them an get sense of accomplishment been doing it more than 40 years

How much is in that place is beyond probably most peoples imagination, must be at least 300 hundred cars and probably much more in bikes, trucks, spares and so on. Wonder if that old timer knows how much he has. Real interesting video, I think you may need to go back and shoot some more video on that place. Think maybe his prices are a little high for the stuff outside that is in a pretty bad state.
Yup !! Typical Old Bird that thinks his rusty junk is worth something it's not !! Explains why he has so much. More than likely a mix of throughout the years no one has given what he has been asking combined with the fact that he is convinced all of that crap is increasing in value.

You have no glue to the demand for trucks as you walked every single one of them. I can guarantee that there are more people interested in those 60-66 Chevy trucks than there are interested in a shoe box Ford. Nice yard and video.
Yea totally skipped all the old trucks and most if the popular stuff. I saw a few impalas and a chevelle or two. A dodge power wagon too. Screw a old LTD and rusted out ford 4 door

Yo" chief I truly enjoyed checking out your video I wished that you would have stayed to show off some more car's and take more video's, but thanks anyway I would have love to have been there to view some old classic car's, looks like a lot fun I guess, I guess I'm gonna have to get my cash together.✌🏾😀
Back in the 50’s most police departments used 2 door sedans for cruisers. That 1958 Chev, 2 dr sedan would be the perfect vehicle to restore as a place car. Use a 283 c.i.d., 2 barrel with 3 speed on the column and you have the perfect cruiser. I restored a 1959 Chevy Biscayne as a Maryland State Police patrol car. It won every car show that I entered it in. Great fun😎
I like hitting old wrecking yards too, unfortunately alot of them are run like parts stores now. No browsing allowed, probably for liability reasons. But when I do get the chance I always have: gloves, snake shields, mosquito spray, flashlights, and a stick to poke around at things. Oh yeah, a ziploc bag too, I periodically dig out enough loose change (and a few bill$) from under seats, nooks, and crannies to pay for some gas and sometimes a modest lunch.
Hi, Alex. You"re young fella so us old geezers should forgive any missteps in identifying cars that were manufactured 30 or more years before you were born. Good job on the tour! Thoroughly enjoyable. Also, and assuming its as nice as it looks on video, that '62 Ford is fairly priced.

@@HammerHeadGarage Oh yeah, I'm not disagreeing with you. To get these any of these cars on the road would be a tremendous amount of work. Just saying there might be some useful parts one could salvage.
Yes, they need a ton of work, but I bet most of them would deserve it, and bring so much joy to their new owner, if someone would walk down that road with them... not junk anyway.
cool video. My mom bought my dad his 1950 Ford 2 door V8 Shoe Box at $4000. it drove into garage, but needed some work. Great project, Kept most of motor as it was, seats redone, to original look, with Fords 2007 fabric. could be a great cop car, I see the vision
This farm reminds me of lots of places i grew up in out in Ohio,Indiana way back in the eatly and mid 1970's. I just loved going out and exploring tons of spectacular new to me,areas. Growing up in a military family, we moved a whole lot of times and to many amazingly cool places! Everytime we moved, it was always a whole bunch of new friends and people to meet, along with Indiana Jones types of adventures.weed act as if we're discovering wonderful treasure hunt pirates of the Caribbean adventures around every new corner or field or farmstead. Great memories and times of yor! Rrrrrrr avast you scurvy landlubbers! Lol! thanks again! True, but there are a lot of parts for projects.
@@Darrylizer1 Parts is one thing. A running driving reliable car is something else. Ive been a mechanic for 25 years.
I subbed!!
thanks for the video.....brought back some memories seeing a few of these cars again!!
Grim Reaper that's great! Thanks for the sub!
are
not worth that much,he should sell and get what he can before they rot in the ground.
cool video. My mom bought my dad his 1950 Ford 2 door V8 Shoe Box at $4000. it drove into garage, but needed some work. Great project, Kept most of motor as it was, seats redone, to original look, with Fords 2007 fabric.
could be a great cop car, I see the vision
Thanks for watching Adam!
I'm gonna fix it up one day
It's heartbreaking to see some of these cars just rot away, if i had the money i would spend the rest of my days restoring old cars.
I think that was his plan too ;) thanks for watching! :)
the bike looks like an amc matchless 1936
Some cool fixer uppers by the mile there,i can't even imagine the muscle car treasures he had through the ages that went into the collection. ▪☆☆☆▪
Thank you for sharing
Having cars parked in grass and not on cement, will cause the frames and undercarriage to rust out.
Agreed
As is the case with every single one of these rust heaps.
I wonder how many functional mad max buggies and other vehicles could such scrapyard yield in skilled hands. :D
