i love the hypermotard...I feel like if you come from dirt riding/supermoto then this is a nice bike to take to the road. The high up seating position is similar to riding an enduro bike.
I love my Monster to death. Absolutely awesome all around bike. Great in the city unlike some sport bikes, and just as home out in the twisties. You can't go wrong with any of the 3 Monsters. I have a 6 month video review coming soon....
Nope. Valve intervals are 7,500 miles on the air cooled motors. My dealer told me to wait for the 15,000 mile interval to do them. I picked up the bike used, so the first service was done for me. Do oil and filter yourself. Technically speaking I have paid $0 on maintenance so far...
Why do you think Ducati is trying so hard with this Hypermotard model? If you want a really good standard style bike, just get a nicely equipped Monster. I rode the Hypermotard when it first came out and hated how high up I felt. It looks cool, but it just feels weird. What am I missing?

beautiful bike, hate the nostrils on the front fender, they need to be deleted.
Ugly, but that's my personal opinion. It also looks too high. May be good as a second bike, for those with enough money.
