They have so many great songs, that we tend to just let the "Dice" roll when recommending Band-Maid, because you can't really choose wrong.

When trying the next with the ladies, i would come with the surgestion to try out a live version from them, but as others say here, they have so many good ones..
Like blooming, matchless gum, Yolo, Giovanni, play, Dragon Cry, and many many many others.. 🤘
They are like the ONLY band on the planet that don't have a "bad" song. Every song by Band-Maid is at least a 7 out of 10. Even when the record company was writing their songs (first EP/album) they still were very good songs. They also have a like taste of every type of rock and metal in their sound from 70's funk to 90's trash/speed metal to 00's pop punk. They play it all.
The running joke with the fan base (Maidiacs) is the last song you hear by them is your favorite song until you hear the next one and then that's your new favorite song.

Welcome to the pigeon hole Po! I'm an old guy from the UK, I have heard and seen the best. I have to say Band-Maid are the best hard rock band in existence - in my humble opinion. Not metal per se, though they can get very heavy. They mix genres a lot, even in the same song. You want to hear classic rock, punk, punk pop, Jazz, blues, prog, metal mixed to perfection? These are the ladies for you. Their composition skill are out of this world. From 220 bpm controlled chaos, ballads to acoustics. They have been going just under 10 years with no line up changes. They are seriously talented. They are also very nice people, no ego's, they are quirky, fun and funny. They love each other, and they love their fans. In return we love and support them back.
Everyone is going to say you need to see their live performances. Because you do! I suggest the LIVE versions of either 'Play', Real Existence', or 'Domination' to start with.
They have just sold out their October US tour.
You haven't scratched the surface of the Japanese rock/metal scene - boy is it deep. Rock isn't dead, it moved to Japan. Happy listening!

My Friend, great reaction. The Best Band in the Universe. I am not saying in the world, I am saying in the Universe known and unkown. Pick any song from their catalogue, no problem. We dont mind and we dont care but try to listen them live with audience due to the fact that the girls multiply their impact because the adrenaline that they get from the crowd. And finally, technically they play better live than in studio with a dynamic flow, harmony and precision... hard, very hard to understand when you are in the audience. Keep going. 120 songs, none bad. Yes, a miracle and also a fact. And dont forget that they do all, yes, all in their songs...

Welcome to Band-Maid! They have well over 100 songs (been together since 2013) and they are all bangers! They do tour internationally, and in fact have a 13 show US tour this fall that is pretty much sold out (some venues did in a matter of minutes). I will let others fill you in on the respective band members names, but some other songs that will serve you well in starting down the pigeon hole (you will find out what that means po!) are Thrill, Blooming, Domination (Official LIve MV), Freedom (Official Live MV), and Play (Official Live MV). Generally speaking their live stuff is their best stuff. Their shows have amazing energy!

Band-Maid plays worldwide (Touring the USA this Oct.) and has over 100 songs... all of them awesome. So you could just do Band-Maid for a while and be totally satisfied, along with your viewers! Thx, OldBear!
Band-Maid will be playing some US shows in October. I believe most of the dates are sold out but not all. They are killer live (I have tickets to their New Jersey show). They occasionally record a concert for DVD release (multiple cameras, soundboard audio, nicely edited) and some of the more recent ones are available on their channel. The older ones have been deleted from RUclips but if you know how to search you can find other tracks and even entire shows floating around. Their shows at Zepp Tokyo and Studio Coast are well regarded.

: "Choose Me"-- a song featured in the Netflix original movie "KATE" as BAND MAID, has so many great RnR chops, it's kinda unbelievable. From Saiki's old-school phrasing, cadence and a super soulful vocal at the end; MISA's driving bass, her special riff after Kanami's brilliant, rocking main solo (complete with harmonic pinch), and her pulls at the end of the song that really funks it up with Akane's drumming; to Kanami's original composition, off-beat octave stretches during the verses, and her addition of a second uncomplicated yet super tasty solo; to Akane's unique snare & tom flurry that launches the choruses; and to Miku's octave-down, in & out vocal backup and lyrics... all makes "Choose Me" a throwback rocker that surprised me when I first heard it - and I'll bet most anyone - that they would come up with this western-style, rock 'n roll classic.
Of course, after years later, it's not surprising at all coming from this important band of geniuses who are almost single-handedly bringing back the joys and soulfulness of rock for people from all places and ages to hear. Their are lots of all female bands in Japan and most of them are awesome =) Band-Maid in my opinion are the best by far ! They will be touring the US in October and most of their shows have been sold out ! Also considered one of the best hard rock bands in the world right now. What to react to next? Anything from their YT channel. They are best Live, but not all tracks have a live version. In any case you can't go wrong with this band. As a geriatric with a music production background, this is probably the best contemporary hard rock outfit on the planet. Each one a virtuoso in their own right. You'll find everything you are looking for with these beautiful young women.

Best rock band in the world right now, IMO. Not really metal, although they have some songs that are pretty much metal… they blur lines between genres all the time. Check out the live 2 song video “Manners/Black Hole” and get 2 more styles from Band Maid in one video. One is a groove-laden rock anthem, the other is a prog-rock masterpiece.
If you want a really heavy sound check out their music video for “Rinne” (reincarnation). If you want to hear them do 70’s style rock, try their music video for “The Dragon Cries”. For a kick-ass live instrumental try “Onset”. All of these are on their official channel. Beware, all these Japanese bands are great but Band Maid, in particular, grabs people and won’t let them go!
Two suggestions: "Domination", the live concert video, and "Manners/Black Hole", a two for live music video. These videos show both their live audience performance and the incredible versatility in their musically skill sets. "Daydreaming", the official music video, shows their rock ballad capabilities. They have been together since 2013, and have played in the U.S., Europe, and Mexico, as well as, of course, Japan.

Band Maid will be in the US in October 2022. Jan 9, 2023 will mark the beginning of their 10th year, with a concert in Tokyo Garden Theater ( I got a ticket through the lottery and am going). You have +40 official MV's, part of their 130 or so song list. New EP coming out in Sept. 2022. Nemophila was just here in LA, Jul.1, 2022. Both will be at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento in October, kicking off BM's US tour. I remember when MTV signed off at midnight back in 1981. Band Maid has been touring the US and Europe since 2016. In 2019 they sold-out 2 performances in NYC, 1 in Dallas and 2 in LA. They will be touring the US in October, 13 cites are currently scheduled, with all but New Jersey reported to be sold-out.
Founded by Miku Kobato (red flower) in 2013, they struggled for the first 2 years. In 2015 they released "Thrill" that someone posted on Facebook. "Thrill" got 2 million views in 2 weeks, with about 45% of the views being from the US and Europe.
They now have total control of their music. They write the songs, do the arrangements thru final production. They are currently the #1 Rock/Metal band in Japan with huge fan base internationally.
There are 200+ Rock/Metal bands in Japan with many all female with the other bands having least 1 female.

Every song in their catalog runs from good to Holy Mother of All That is Good what was that? I would suggest the 2 song live video "Manners, BLACK HOLE" from their official RUclips channel. "Manners" is groovy bluesy "Classic Rock" style song with that BAND-MAID spice. It is one of my all time favorite songs. "BLACK HOLE" is a 220 bpm sonic assault of progressive instrumentation and fantastically layered vocals. "BLACK HOLE" is currently my favorite BAND-MAID song.

What I like about bands like BAND-MAID (or NEMOPHILA) is that they aren't stuck in one and the same genre but constantly mix in others to get a new sound or feeling that suits the song. For me, it's a new experience and makes their music never get boring. You never know in advance how it's going to sound. That's probably what impresses me the most. I knew earlier that Japanese musicians are extremely skilled and well educated, but this creativity is new to me. I love it.

They are fantastic, I've only caught them in the last year. They have been together a long time and all of them had band/solo music experience before band-maid. Miku you might think is the weakest piece being backup singer and not quite the accomplished musician but she is the lead and my goodness how many gears must be turning inside her mind and heart. US tour fall winter is already sold out, but if you are anywhere close be there anyway they added a few extra shows and no doubt will be asked for more. They will put magic spell time inside you!
Going back a bit for jewels to pick out of the treasure pull FREEZER, Corallium, Look at ME baby, Turn me on...and I've lost some of the early album wah pedal stuff kanami was doing but find her crazy guitar solo from hamburg in 2019 and Miku's intermissions...then hit band-maiko

You cant go down the J metal rabbit hole without listening to Maximum The Hormone. Their drummer Nao has been a major influence on many of Japan's best female musicians.

Japan has lots of female bands, Korea and China a well, but there are lots of all male bands as well as mixed. (note East Asian countries had female court musicians and professional female musicians centuries before the western countries, this is whythere are a lot of top female performers from there)

It all depends on what you are looking for. I like almost all of what they made so far, but if I have to choose 3 regardless of theme; Screaming, Matchless Gum and Different.
If you want something with higher energy, similar to Screaming, Play, DOMINATION, and Warning are all good ones.
If you want to hear a solo from each of them you can listen to Onset.

I think the Maidiacs probably have the suggestions covered lol so I'm going to go with a very underrated Japanese band: SAISEIGA -- Ride On, this one is a coed band. The lead singer has an amazing voice and the whole band is super talented.

As for what else to listen from Band Maid, ask your major commentator, Tom Clark (not so far below!)! If I have a suggestion to make, react on the video versions of Blooming, Warning and Daydreaming. Apart of go for any of their live concert videos!

More BAND-MAID more subs, trust me. They are a great metal band. Scratch the Japanese part.
Try official live versions of Freedom, Dice and Manners. I’m seeing them in Phoenix in Oct.
Domination live is a good introduction to the band and some of their abilities
My suggestion -- a double reaction to their song Sayonakidori. The regular version and the acoustic live version. The song is sung by the band leader Kobato Miku instead of their lead vocalist Atsumi Saiki.

This song was in the Netflix movie Kate and the 3rd episode of Peacemaker. For the Netflix movie Kate, Band-maid had a cameo in it. Also another Band-maid song in the movie Kate was Blooming.

The "Maidiacs" will cast you to the center of the earth if you stop the video in the middle of a Kanami guitar solo and not go back to start it over....or any time you stop a Band-Maid song. Just fair warning going forward since there are some reactors out there that have never been heard from again......so there's that.
My recommendation is their "signature", IMHO, official LIVE performance of "Domination" from Feb14th 2020
What more from this band? Try "DICE" or "BLOOMING".
Anyway, just pick any song from their channel. They will never disappoint you.

Watch the live reactions, they're generally better. Lovebites is power metal. Band Maid is more hard rock with a lot of other influences.
