When I think of my top 10 favorite band maid songs, I don’t think I ever even think of this one. But I swear everytime I hear it it’s almost as if the song is telling me “you sure about that?” It’s so solid
Like you, I'm a metalcore head as well. Found Band Maid a few years ago and was immediately hooked. They are a special group, and (literally) don't have a band song in their entire catalog. I won't give any recs for them, as the Band Maid army has found you and will point you in the right direction. Good vids brother, keep it up. Some other notable recs: Maximum the Hormone - Yoshu Fukushu. This is the next logical step in the Japanese metal/rock scene. Killer band, reaction channel staple, and will definitely be right up your alley. Sleep Token - Jaws, or The Offering. Not sure if how tuned-in you are to the modern metalcore scene, but this group is going to blow up soon. They just released a new track (Alkaline) and have an album coming out in a month or two. Bilmuri - lifeisgood. One of the most refreshing twists on metalcore I've heard in years. Criminally underrated band. Prob won't bring in the video views like Band Maid or Babymetal, but man, their songs are just a huge vibe, and definitely worth checking out.
This is the Band-Maid video that I played over and over and over when I first became a fan. It looks like a sign from the heavens that you need more Band-Maid. Thank you. A great reaction and probably one you won't forget.

For me, at least, this call is a command that I simply cannot refuse. :) Here in Germany/Europe, the weather has also been anything but pleasant in recent weeks, and storms sometimes cause a lot of damage. Even tornado warnings are becoming more frequent, which has increased immensely in the last few years. "Matchless Gum" and "Unfair Game" - the reason for that being that they are two tracks which are not on albums, just the "YOLO" single, and really deserve more than they get because of that I think.. great reaction man!

The way Miku and Saiki have shorten and twisted her lyrics to fit Kanami's writing is pure genius. The cadence, syncopation and soulful expression, like in Choose Me, is rare and kinda old-school-rock exceptional. Since some of us can't understand most of it, It feels a bit like scat and fits perfectly to the vibe of the music - one reason why some of us don't care if we can't understand all of it. Thx, Woe! BTW - You should hear all Band-Maid songs with a headset set to "Stun!"
Kanami’s guitar choices in this one are especially fantastic. She’s always good, almost always great but this one, to me, is one of her best. She’s absolutely a top notch rock guitarist on the order of the greats of classic rock imho. Love her work!!! 🎸🤘🏼😎

Yes, this is the classic Band-Maid sound, and I still think it's their best song, although pretty much every song they did from around 2016 to 2018 is a contender for that title. Choose Me is just perfect though. The feedback in your video wasn't so bad. Enjoyed the lightning strike. Wouldn't it have been cool if you were reacting to Thunder Vengeance by Lovebites when that happened?

Yeah the sound isn't that bad - it just sounds like electrical noise, it's not ear-bleeding feedback or anything! I dunno what you're editing with, but if you have an EQ you can play with, you could sweep around boosting frequencies until you find where the noise is, and then bring the level right down. Won't eliminate it completely but it can be an easy fix, if you have to deal with it again!
I would choose SCREAMING whenever i wanted to shout on someone (with anger)who just ditch me out of nowhere🤣and and leave them behind with UNFAIR GAME(music background) and went on ramming my car with "Don't apply the Brake" (satisfaction mood)...but then..Saiki command CHOOSE ME instead ...well yeah i choose Band-Maid with no regrets and no way turning back coz being sucked by PO!🕊️ BLACK HOLE🌀
The LIVE version is even better. And their sound is everchanging. I can't decide if they are genreless or are a genre unto themselves. But since 'Thrill' they have remained consistently BAND-MAID. No one else sounds like this. It's a five spoked wheel, and very balanced. Where it's the way that Saiki sing's Miku's words. Or the way that Miku plays Kanami's chords. The way the rhythm section interacts. Or when Kanami and MISA exchange solos. It's each part of the BAND-MAID machine doing what it does. I have yet to find any other band that works this well. But if you find one, let me know.
Band-Maid's songs are at the very worst okay. They don't really make bad music. Especially not since they've had creative control. They all are great musicians and really know how to construct music that people will enjoy. The stuff you've done recently from what I saw is more of their standard stuff, as you mentioned. If you want to get into the songs where they get progressive and do some really unusual things for themselves, try out either "Giovanni" or "Black Hole". Neither of them have an official music video up, but people have uploaded the songs on here enough.
Their core sound really hasn't changed over the years. At their core, they're a hard rock band. They do have some songs that are rather "poppy", mostly early on. But the area that they've evolved the most is in their songwriting.
Try the songs Puzzle, and Blooming. Puzzle live. Both are incredible. Kanami really shines with great riffing and solos. The dragon cries, they sing in English. Lovebites songs, try Break the wall, and Edge of the world.
Another great reaction! That lightning strike was a surprise - better than a strike from YT, anyway! I love them live but, in all fairness, their MV's are all excellent too. The only recommendation I can give for future watching would be "Their whole back catalogue". OK, and "Any future songs".

I had to go in for a cardiac procedure in early June, while I was having my procedure my doctor asked me if I had heard a certain music artist? I replied that I had not and he instructed his assistant to play her for me, after I heard the song I asked him if he had heard Band Maid, he had not and had his people look them up and choose me was the song they landed on, not only did I not know they could play music in the o.r. but Band Maid was playing while I was being rolled out, how many Maidiacs can say that?

Not really underrated. It consistantly places near the top if not number one in most polls of best Band-Maid songs. Definitely a classic.

The live version has great energy but I actually prefer the MV. Kanami is a little hard to hear in the live and Saiki looks great in B&W.
