While chatting with ET's Rachel Smith about her upcoming film, 'It Ends With Us,' the actress admits she feels 'guilty' trying to balance the responsibilities of being a working mom. Plus, Jenny Slate, who co-stars with Blake in the thriller, gushes over working together. Jenny says she 'fell in love' with Blake and calls her a 'deeply trustworthy' person. 'It Ends With Us' hits theaters on Aug. 9.
Reporters can be so rude when they only focus on the more famous person instead of asking the same questions to the less famous person
Okay I’ve seen a few interviews and the DRASTIC difference between what the cast is promoting and Justin is so obvious and just disappointing. On top of that, Blake is ALWAYS talking and won’t let the costars speak. They don’t get the more intense questions on what this book is really about whereas Justin is so well spoken and articulates his answers in a way that you as the viewer/listener feel his genuine connection and love for the book. I’ll die on a hill and say Blake is the big issue.
Notice how Blake lively talks like she is more of a director, a storyteller than an actual actor in the movie. She doesn’t talk about her craft and the process of acting, but she talks about her character and how she wants her character to be. It’s kind of telling.

She made a huge mistake by not giving Baldoni his share of credit for the movie. She promoted the movie as if she were the only one involved in making it. It was his movie and she was just a cast member and then producer. She hijacked his film. Super egos of self importance has ruined more than one career.

I understand what she's saying about not wanting to portray a character who people can write off as easily manipulated which is why she fell into DV. A lot of times its people we love and understand who get into relationships like this, so it makes sense why shes focusing on how multifaceted her character is, so the story doesnt get written off as cheap tragedy porn. I dont think it makes the DV less serious to want the woman experiencing it to be 3 dimensional.
