The average human fart is between 20g-500g in mass, let us take a median of 100g per fart. Even assuming no one in the audience farted, the gymnasium would have been more than filled with farts that the surrounding vicinity would be affected as well. The body absorbs about 90% of food it consumes, excreting the remaining 10%. Even if we assume all excretion was done as farts, this means the band would have ate about 300kg worth of food in order to perform this song, along with precise rectal strength and control, to not just hold back or release the pressure, but also to produce pitch. If we take a more realistic assumption that 1% of food becomes farts, the band would have had to consume 3000kg, or 3 tons, of food. Whether from food or soda pop, the band produces 400 x 30kg = 12000kg, or 12 tons, of green house gases per year by performing regularly. An average car produced a little over 4 tons of CO2 per year. The band's yearly green house gas emissions from playing regularly would be equal to the yearly emission of 3 cars.
