I think Disney have outpriced the AVERAGE GUEST and I think they are depending on Annual Passholders and DVC to keep the parks moving!

It's a combination of factors, but Disney greed is definitely at the top of the list. Sky-high prices (tickets, food, merch), Genie plus lightning lane schemes, sub-par new attractions like the Moanna walk-through, cheap re-themes of existing attractions, shoddy maintenance, etc. Essentially, pay more for less and Disney is no longer the must-go premier magical destination. Combine that with the ease of virtually experiencing the park and attractions via RUclips (thanks to you and many others.) Sure, it's not the same as going but what are you really missing if the magic isn't very magical. The enormous amount of money saved can be used for many other recreational activities that are far cheaper.
All of those points circle back to the C suite. List goes on and on, like the magical express, I loved being picked up, the cartoons and videos on way to Disney , no car, kids loved it, kept us on property entirely. I just don’t get why they would abandoned the recipes of success and make new recipes that no one likes. “New Coke, New Disney”. Huh😮
Disney is still the go-to premier place to go. Name another place with half the attendance. 😂😂
The average price to go to a movie theater is $12. ($6 per hour). Price of popcorn is $9. One day admission to Magic Kingdom is $109 ( $8.40 per hour). Price of popcorn is $12. It takes a lot more people to operate a theme park than a movie theater. Doesn’t sound like a lot of greed to me.

My wife and I stopped going when they started up charging you to go on attractions in the parks. You pay to get in the park then to ride the top attractions you have to pay again? Sorry that’s awful.
You don't have to pay to go any rides, now if you don't want to wait in line then you need to pay. It's that way at Universal and where I live at Cedar point.

@@markw3455a lot of the time paying is the only way to go on a new ride because they don’t have a standard wait system you have to enter a lottery. The lottery runs out within a minute and even if you get on the app on time you maybe won’t get it. So the only way to ride the new ride is to pay $17-$20. You cannot just walk up to the queue

@@markw3455Good point! Universal has been charging upwards of $200 a person to skip lines for years and there’s no backlash. Disney implements the same concept but much more affordable and people blow a gasket.

When a park being slow isn’t surprising we can assume there’s a problem. Let’s not be silly enough to claim doom due to one park day in 100 degree temps.
This is the first year in almost 30 years we aren’t going. We dropped our annual passes last September. Disney just lost the magic for us. There are still parts we love, but the whole park experience is more stressful and complicated, and Disney does nothing to make us feel appreciated.

I can go overseas for a fraction of the cost of Disney. I can go to UO at a fraction of the cost of Disney. Why wouldn't I expand my horizons? Disney has my heart, but not at these prices.
UO is 174 before tax for a one day ticket. It's actually MORE expensive. And their express pass is WAY more expensive than Genie. Just saying. Go where you like but it's not cheaper.

Not true. Record high stock market, record low unemployment, inflation at 3%. People are just too concerned with a $1000 cell phone living paycheck to paycheck instead of prioritizing budgeting and being responsible. Children do what feels good at the time, adults devise a plan and follow it.
Seriously you don't know why Disney isn't as crowded? Everyone was at Sea World and Universal Studios. Sea World was at capacity and had to turn people away and Universal was insanely busy. Guess Why? Disney has turned away from family values, had only 1/4 of their usual July 4th decor up. People are getting sick of it. Their firework show on the 4th was only 7 minutes long, where Sea Worlds was 26 mins long, celebrating our nation. Its all over tic toc and IG where everyone was.

Kyle, I really feel you are missing out on fun happenings at Universal. I appreciate your loyalty to Disney but branch out more to the other parks. Seaworld and Universal would be a nice change of pace.

Go to Disney springs on a Friday night and check out the restaurant crowds, not people walking through but people actually sitting down and eating, not many and most places are near empty which is crazy….inflation!
If this was filmed on July 3rd, then it would make sense that there weren't that many people. Most people travel on the 3rd so they are at their destination on the 4th.

Disney is widely known as the greediest place on earth and as Disney continues to raise prices and gouge customers you can expect it to become more and more empty. The average Disney park goer is no longer willing to submit to their outrageous prices for mediocre food and spend half of their day standing in lines for attractions that may break down or be evacuated at any moment. Disney has deservedly earned the reputation of being a ripoff destination.
Really or is it 100 degrees out? Also Six Flags charges 9 bucks for a large soda. ..so who is greediest

Unless you’re in the know and extremely computer savvy it has become impossible to navigate the rides and times etc. besides the outrageous prices for far less and constantly broken down rides. Also it has become impossible to feed a family of 4 and is heart breaking to have to deprive your children a treat because you can’t afford it after spend thousands of dollars on a disappointing vacation that was once so magical when we were children! 😢💔😢

It's a simple concept. Disney can charge what they want if people are willing to pay for it. Sure people can complain online about it being expensive, but at the end of the day people are still paying for it.
I assure you that Test Track isn't a good enough ride (IMO) to determine whether or not I go to Epcot. I think the rising cost of a Disney vacation plus rising costs of transportation to get there plus inflation that hits every other aspect of people's daily budgets are more than likely resulting in the lower crowds right now. And it doesn't help that planning a Disney vacation has just become unnecessarily complicated for the average person.

Heat has never stopped large crowds before. Holidays have never stopped large crowds before. I know what I hear on other channels as to why and from people on the street as to why. They aren’t saying it’s the heat. Plenty of ways to deal with the heat. Believing the crowds will be large doesn’t create a smaller crowd size. Everyone knows Christmas is crowded and it stays crowded. Heat, holidays, and crowds isn’t the reason. Also this low crowd situation has been going on for awhile. I hope Disney gets in front of this. One way would be to drop ticket prices as a temporary sell for the rest of the year and announce this immediately so people can plan a trip this fall. If they don’t do things fast enough they won’t get the trip planners from other states who care about saving money on ticket prices. Locals have annual passes and can make last minute decisions to go without the need for lower ticket prices. They need to hire people who understand normal people who plan trips. I don’t think the people in charge have a clue what we have to do to create a trip from several states away to come there for the week. Or they do understand and they just don’t want us.
*coming from someone who used to be a diehard Disney fanatic* I can’t say for everyone but for me it’s $ and the fact that they’re turning away from being family friendly (remaking classics so they are WOKE & certain things in the parks) and just an awful economy.
Is this a real question? The price gouging started before the pandemic. Insane resort prices, taking away all the perks that came with being a resort guest like free fast pass and transportation from the airport, etc… It goes on and on. People can go down the street for half the price with more up to date attractions and experiences. JMO
it's because it's too expensive and the value for the price is no longer there....Disney management is out of touch with the average American and Walt's original vision. They are too busy with woke politics and money grabs instead of putting their energy into making entertaining films and quality park experiences. Sad.

Yeah, Disney is too expensive. When you buy a Universal Studios pass, the Fast Pass is included with it. I don't have to buy it every single time I go and waste my money on a fast pass. Disney nickel-and-dimes you for absolutely everything, and quite frankly, there are too many Failed movies at this point that are just boring and just cash grabs and for some reason they don't take the advice of the people and just keep making these crappy movies and putting things in them that people dont want to see. They don't want to change the for the customers. Why would i want to go.
Plus, all I have to do is watch your videos, and it's like I'm at Disney. I don't have to pay for it, and I guess I can feel the nostalgia. In my opinion, Universal is so much better. Plus, they're building the new Epic Universe, which is awesome! Why can't Disney do something like that? They make way more money than Universal ever has, plus Universal doesn't nickel-and-dime you for absolutely everything, and they don't get political at all, which is very nice.
What Disney has to do is go back to how they were and lower the prices, especially for people today. They have so much money beyond belief. They could totally lower the prices for people who are struggling. There are people who don't have a lot of money in general right now. They can't afford it.

We're local and prefer Disney over Universal but Disney has a problem . Universal is as simple as you can get , you can get a season pass that allows you express or express unlimited and season passes you can get express after 4 ,You don't need a smart phone ,Genie ,Genie plus ,ligtning lane and it's as simple as possible . Somebody sold Disney a bill of goods and they bought it .
Maybe crowds are down because they are disappointed when they order bread pudding, but receive banana pudding.

We were there that day! I saw you in line at Regal Eagle and the day before at Studios....and the wait times were great all day! It was scorching, so that could have something to do with crowds. Love all the videos and me and Cash will keep watching daily!
China’s political situation deteriorated. Don’t go there. It will be a better use of time and money to visit Fantasy Springs in Tokyo DisneySeas unless you already went there.
I noticed Disney is inflating the stand-by wait times for the rides.. says "40 minutes" but not even 15 in reality.. it's a way of pushing people to pay for Genie+ when it's not necessary

Note that this video is NOT from July 4th, which was super packed at EPCOT. It’s no mystery why July 3rd and 5th were empty: people on vacation were choosing to wait until the 4th to go to EPCOT because of the big July 4th fireworks.
Disney is running a $99/day special for 4 parks this summer, but each ticket is only good for 1 park. On July 4th itself EPCOT was packed. This means the days before and after the 4th at the fireworks parks had lighter attendance.
It’s as simple as that. Kyle’s boyish naïveté is charming, but in-depth analysis is not exactly his forte.
Disney literally has the worst food in their parks. And you will pay over $100 for 3 people to eat non nutritious garbage.
I’m here now and I can tell you it’s too hot to be out there. We are only in the park in spurts…you can’t be in the park all day. It’s really hit or miss.

I love how people think universal doesn’t have high prices also.. have you seen the price of their fast pass or the cost of their shuttle bus from the airport? They are just as guilty. All resort theme parks including Disney have always had random weeks where it’s inexplicably quiet so it’s not as big of a deal as you think.
I just don’t understand virtual queues. I mean, they’re probably helpful for the first few months that a ride is open for crowd control purposes, but there’s absolutely no need for them 6+ months after the ride’s opening.
Reasons not to go to Disney on 4th of July week in no particular order:
A- Expected large crowds
B- Huge cost incurred to go. Especially in a family group.
C-Florida summer heat and rain
D- Pressure to plan every minute in advance or you think you won't have the best time
*E- Backlash for Disney political stance. Possibly. Wasn't sure how to phrase this.

I have been a pass holder in the past but stopped just before covid. We went last year in December and had a great time and will go again this December.

It seems that things are just getting back to pre-2020 trends, summer crowds had been dropping for years before Covid. In 2019 we were shocked that our late June trip had much lower crowds than our September trip! The last few years were just weird with how the crowds were throughout the year, probably having practically year round festivals for the past 3-4 years helped a bit (although I'm so happy we're back to pre-2020 festival dates, love me some diet Epcot!). Also doesn't help that Disney stripped away all the resort perks (thankfully at least one is coming back soon), and the prices have been steadily increasing. We're APs so will keep going, amazing how much money those save, but if we had to buy tickets for each trip we'd probably have to drop down to just a single trip a year.
I would still go to Epcot with test track down. Guardians, frozen, remy’s and drinking around the world would bring me in still. I think it’s just because people are saving Epcot for the 4th

Yes. Virtual queue doesn’t work for us as we’re never in park after 12:00 pm. Even when a hotel guest I can’t get in virtual queue before 2pm. I’m not paying for it either. Total ripoff. Yes yes yes. Standby line!

Kyle, July 4th fell this year in the middle of a week and not on a weekend. The schedule is more challenging. You really should check the wait-times before you enter a park. Genie Plus really wasn’t needed for Epcot. You have an annual pass. You can go on anything you want whenever you need to.
it's not only the price guys, Test Track is in renovation, Epcot has just guardians of galaxy or frozen but that's it, a main attraction like Test Track and the crowd is less
I just moved back to Florida and was previously a Disney annual passholder, and grew up going every year. One day at Volcano Bay proved to me that Universal AP is the move right now. So long Disney!

When Dinosaurs roamed Florida😂, in the 1960's, people Vacationed there and went to the Beaches, what a concept😅! Little children loved it, so did Mom and Dad,and many motels, actually had air conditioners! Cheap food cheap, motels, free beaches😅

I am in Hawaii at the Disney Aulani resort. It’s very busy here, families from all over the world. Resorts are different than the parks of course but still big crowds.
There is so much to see and do at Epcot without test track….. our favorite park

We were there a few weeks ago for Tianas AP preview and normally EP is a 2 day park, open to close. But with no festival we actually got to take it slow, ate at Tepan Edo, since we normally fill up on booths, and we basically did a half day, starting in the evening for rides, then ate and closed the park. It was awesome to be able to enjoy parts of the park we normally miss because of the festival busy-ness.

Father/son getaway from Chicago to WDW a week from today! Hoping the low crowds continue through our trip. Hitting all 4 parks and Typhoon Lagoon. Test Track being down is not a deal breaker.
Might be due to the DAS changes, if the disabled member can't go and enjoy themselves, the whole family isn't going either.
Would you say that the crowd projection sites like undercover tourist which is my go to aren't accurate so far this summer?

I was there on Monday July 1st, yes very empty… much different than the weekend that was crowded especially at MK… it was our last day on Monday so it was nice to almost walk on all the rides.

Block out period for some annual passholders and cast members lessen the crowds.
Epcot was not blocked out on the day he is there (I assume 7/3) but Epcot was also not blocked out for July 4th.

Went to Disney once in May and said never ever again. Florida hot is a different hot. 😂 I have heard from a few people they are going to parks early leaving by 11 then coming back after dinner. There's just no physical way to stay in that heat all day. I'd bet at 8pm you'd be seeing a different park.
I did Disney in the summer a few times years ago... never again. I prefer November and December trips. I was there last November and it was crowded. But it wasn't hot. Thanks Kyle 😄.

Happy July 4th! Def reasons for lack of attendance... Nothing really new there... no festival going on - and $$$$. Not a great reason for people to make repeat visits there on annual trips. We just booked our precruise Star trip w 2 nights at Club Poly! Will do Epcot and MK just to hit the few new things since 2022 (our last trip) Don't really feel the need to spend a week at Disney anymore... I think that's why Disney is also putting more effort into Cruising - That's where the people are heading now! Wendy Lady

@@markw34557 nights in a deluxe is around $5k. Add in park tickets, genie, food, airline, merch, and you can easily get to $10k for a week with a family of 4.

Happy 4th. I remember when EPCOT was so interactive as a kid. It was geared towards the kids and even when my kids were young I enjoyed it as an adult. It’s more adult oriented now. Hopefully they will redo that pavilion geared more towards kids.

The heat index is 104 F today. It’s funny, Jenny Nicholson did a “Disney Day for my Worst Enemy” video and she correctly picked out July 4 as the worst day to consider going to a US Disney park. They have fireworks every day at Disney parks but they have fireworks in LOTS of other places on July 4th so why go to Disney for fireworks? You expect it to be crowded though! If I knew it would be the opposite of expected and that you can walk from AC building to AC building without waiting and get right on rides, I might consider going. It’s the prospect of the extreme heat PLUS believing it will be crowded that keeps me out of Disney in the summer … let alone a holiday. Test Track is not a factor for me at all. That ride annoys me because it breaks down so much! It’s fun but NOT worth the wait the common breakdowns cause it. When I went with my sister in February, we were determined to preview everything for the next time when we had our niece and nephew with us to properly plan. We used Lightning Lane; waited 20 minutes, told it was broken down while we were still further back in line. So we left because we were told we’d get another Lightening Lane when it reopened. Then when it reopened, got to the front of the line after about a half hour. We were literally right before the doors when it broke down again! So because we were first, we stayed and waited another 45 minutes. That’s when I remembered why I always thought that ride wasn’t all that back when it first opened. The break downs insure there will ALWAYS be a long wait and it’s an exercise in frustration because it’s a buggy ride that ALWAYS breaks down! My sister and I determined we’d try to hide the existence of the ride from my 5 year old nephew who loves cars actually. So I was HAPPY to hear it was down and I hope it’s still down in late September when we are going so it won’t be an issue. But an uncrowded Epcot or a water park are the only ones I might consider in a 104 F heat index because most of the queues in Epcot have good AC if the lines are that short and don’t extend to the outside part. But I live in Miami, I can wait until fall … it might still be hot in Sept but hopefully not THAT hot.

I would come to Epcot with Test Track closed. I like most of the rides there. If it is that empty we would get more done. We always have to book 2 days there when we come out to get everything we want done.
Went to Epcot today/night for fireworks and ride Guardians. Took an hour to get through the wait and ride. The crowds were crazy but this was my first time tere for the 4th!
I definitely would come to EPCOT no matter what’s down (except if Guardians was down-sad day). It’s my favorite park!!!
I think its just too hot for people right now. I was there a couple of weeks ago and the heat was brutal!

Hey Kyle - if you watch your 4th of July video from last year, you told us to take note that the crowds were very low and manageable. So I am not surprised with this review; I'm sure the heat is a contributing factor.
Calm down everyone. It was one very hot day with thunderstorms in the forecast. The parks over the 3rd and 4th were jammed.
I think people are honestly just broke… :( life is way too expensive and most of us can’t afford what we could like we did 5-10 years ago because of cost of living. And with increase of Disney prices it’s just not an affordable vaca anymore. 💔
