Crowns are awesome, really good luxury and power and over all money well spent for an old car. I would not take mine to the track though. If the s2k started pole it would have won.

I think it’s obvious that crown pulled away because it started from P1 and maintained its pace during the race while other cars in the back was fighting. But still impressive dynamics on Tsukuba for a car which is such a 4 door shitbox on paper
@@TheShamiester that's a huge difference, I know they share the same chassis, engine and gearbox with IS250 - IS350, Mark X and CROWN but the CROWN always looks bulkier. .

@@TheShamiester all the luxury 😂😂 I just picked up my first crown (GRS184) and its got mad body roll I just feel the luxury options sliding with me when I turn into a corner lol, the sports suspension button turned on makes a huge difference cutting that roll down though.

The Rx8s would of been last, because they where the first cars to lose the brakes, road cars in general can't do many laps of a track before brake fade makes them useless.
to be fair you did drop a Hybrid 3.5L V6 in with a bunch of 2.0L naturally aspirated cars. allthough the crown is alot heavier as seen by its cornering abilities, but on the striaght it will allways win as it simply has more Power and Torque.
It's a auto Subaru legacy turbo , they got I bit of turbo lag down low which can work against you in the corners and Tight turns , turbo kicks in around 4000rpm+ , manual helps to keep car in torquey rev range , legacy turbo is a fast car but other cars just better suited for track, crown athlete surprisingly fast around track , they all good drivers they do these challenges All the time.
the Crown has better driving dynamics considering the Legacy had better power to weight, both where Auto and the Legacy had AWD advantage given the track was Tsukuba, all drivers were pro drivers so can't doubt their ability.
