Был такой атлет. Феноменальное шасси. Его возможности выше чем возможности среднего водителя. Влетает в поворот как купешка.
Тоже катался на таком. Ничего феноменального в нем нет. Если сравнивать с пятеркой бмв тех же годов или мерсом Е-класса или Лексус gs350. Мотор хорош, но автомат проигрывает немцам, по рулежке он точно не лучше. По материалам салона и шумоизоляции начисто сливает немцам.

Да краун побогаче был бы в плане комплектации чем немец. Но в целом тачки одного класса
@@user-yi1rr5py8v ну материалы да поприятней на немцах,шумка решаемо,единственный минус существенный это расположение руля,про надежность я промолчу,думаю комментарии излишни,при равных условиях эксплуатации Тоета проходит в разы больше не доставляя никаких проблем и забот,в то время как на немцах постоянно какие-то мелочи сыпятся,которые будут бить по карману,да и по моторам если сравнивать конкретно по этому обьему в плане динамики,то он как минимум не хуже,а то и утрёт нос баварцам,в немцах свой кайф есть,но поддерживать это в хорошем состоянии,на мой взгляд оно того не стоит
Crowns are awesome, really good luxury and power and over all money well spent for an old car. I would not take mine to the track though. If the s2k started pole it would have won.

@@Tm4k10I recently bought an 08 GWS204 hybrid. It’s very quick I’m soon taking the winter tires off and lowering it on RSR lowering springs and some sticky summer tires. I’m eager to go try it in the mountains near us. I hope it’s not had bad in the corners as people say

I think it’s obvious that crown pulled away because it started from P1 and maintained its pace during the race while other cars in the back was fighting. But still impressive dynamics on Tsukuba for a car which is such a 4 door shitbox on paper

@@TheShamiester that's a huge difference, I know they share the same chassis, engine and gearbox with IS250 - IS350, Mark X and CROWN but the CROWN always looks bulkier. .
@@bigmulujamesjimmy yeah when I found out I was quite surprised. I have a fried with a 350 mark x it is 1570 kg. Crowns and is350 are over 1700 it’s ridiculous. I still can’t figure out where they put all that weight in basically the same chassis xD
@@TheShamiester all the luxury 😂😂 I just picked up my first crown (GRS184) and its got mad body roll I just feel the luxury options sliding with me when I turn into a corner lol, the sports suspension button turned on makes a huge difference cutting that roll down though.

True it is flawed although not bad looks wise and some nice quirky little features like those mini rear suicide doors for easier access to the back seats but yeah chassis rigidity and lack of power let's it down never having a true performance model released around 300hp or at least the 280 in Japan the late rx7s had is a real shame

my mark x with 2GRFSE easily do 0-100 in under 6 sec
to be fair you did drop a Hybrid 3.5L V6 in with a bunch of 2.0L naturally aspirated cars. allthough the crown is alot heavier as seen by its cornering abilities, but on the striaght it will allways win as it simply has more Power and Torque.
it wasn't a hybrid, it was an Athlete which is N/A only.
The Legacy isnt NA either and the Crown isnt Hybrid.
If race would be 13 laps Crown and Legacy would be in 4th and 5th place with wires instead of tires
The RX8 has no turbo like an RX7 has . If in this race RX8 would be tuned with a turbo, the race would be secured and done in 2 laps and then thats why RX8 bad, poor NA 240hp S2000, unfair! ban RX8! ban in LeMans, ban in that prefecture, ban on autobahn, ban in your mother driveway.

The Rx8s would of been last, because they where the first cars to lose the brakes, road cars in general can't do many laps of a track before brake fade makes them useless.

It's a auto Subaru legacy turbo , they got I bit of turbo lag down low which can work against you in the corners and Tight turns , turbo kicks in around 4000rpm+ , manual helps to keep car in torquey rev range , legacy turbo is a fast car but other cars just better suited for track, crown athlete surprisingly fast around track , they all good drivers they do these challenges All the time.

the Crown has better driving dynamics considering the Legacy had better power to weight, both where Auto and the Legacy had AWD advantage given the track was Tsukuba, all drivers were pro drivers so can't doubt their ability.
