Restoration of TYPE 30- WHAT!? Friend said it's BAYONET

- Hello folks! Today I have a restoration of the Japanese bayonet type 30. A friend dug up a new, interesting find and gave it to me. Initially, I didn't understand what it was, but after looking at it in more detail, I noticed a ring similar to the ring of a bayonet knife. Well, let's start the restoration!
First, I removed all the earth from the object, cleaned it with an iron brush. Then, with the help of a rust remover, I cleaned the object, but this was not enough. To completely remove the rust from the object, I used a sandblaster. But all the same, petrified rust remained on the object. With the help of a drill machine and various nozzles, I cleaned the entire surface with the help of grinding nozzles.
Then he cut off the end of the bayonet, which rotted and shaped the tip of the knife. Corrected all the blade and started manual grinding. Then I darkened the blades and moved on to creating the handle.
I heated the bayonet button of the knife, unscrewed and replaced the spring, which was broken.
For the new handle linings, I used wood and brass rivets. After processed and impregnated with wax for wood. As usual, I made an interesting test for you. Thanks for your attention!
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

99% of people wouldn't even look at the dirt, but you restored and got a good tool. bravo! Thanks for the delicious test🎉👍
It's always nice to see something repurposed even if it can't be fully brought back to what it used to be, sometimes it's impossible to fully bring back something, so finding a new purpose or use is best, in a sense you gave a long forgotten Bayonet a new reason to be used even now.
Much better - love the food channel!!! You're one of my favorite RUclipsr to watch and learn from.
I agree with your friend that it is a broken baynet! That sloted end fits on the muzzle and the loop on the barrel. The bottom hook is what I found interesting.
I'm glad you finally found the proper use for that wounded soldier. 🍺 Cheers 🍻
My God man, you take on some of the most difficult restorations and they come out beautiful!
Good job mister Screws beautiful restoration
I love your authentic work. What i hate is the fake restoration videos who copy your work. I trust your videos above all others.
Cool resto ..... things should live again 😊
👍👍👍👍very nicely done beep beep I always enjoy watching you bring back something to life
Beep-beep😄
A knifes a knife but the mystery clump could be anything! It could even be a knife! You know how much you wanted one of those! 😂
Hey, I also love those small sausages lol. Good one Alex!
Such a great restoration
Fantastic work 🎉
Test passed....coolest bottle opener ever!
)))Thanks
You took a muddy lump of rust, and brought it back to life. Beep beep!
That's an arisaka bayonet from what I can tell a type 30 or type 38 the Japanese retained the quillon longer then most
Hello! This is type 30
Looks like Kokura arsenal
This man can restored almost everythings. I hope he can restoring justice in my country
Hello Alex! , great job on creating the new shop knife ! You never cease to amaze me! Turning a broken bayonet into a very useful knife, great video! All the very best to You and Yours from Brian in Southern California
Hi Brian! Thank you so much for your attention and for staying with me)
Hard to tell if the old screw rivets were an ornamental choice or just basic fasteners. 🤔
Great work on restoring the attachment button!! A+
That handle is amazing
A very nice and useful tool for your workshop. Waiting for more restored items. Good luck!
people won't even look at the dirt, but you're restored and have a good tool. It's nice to see something reused even if it can't completely return to its original shape, hooray! 🎉
Thank you!
Nice to see your soldering skills improving!
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks 😎
It continues to amaze me at how you are able to bring old things back to life.👍👍Beep, beep.
Thank you!)
@@ScrewsAndTools 👍😉
It’s amazing that the spring still works, fun job always learning experience.❤
I laughed at the last second slurp of the foam to save your drink!
hahah))
Fantastic. Keep up the great work
Super job it looks really lovely. 👍
Great job
I aspire to be like you one day, comrade. Well done as always!!
Peep Peep! Bravo!
Nice work once more Alex. I like the new work bench too! 👍👍
Thanks)!
Amazing 😮😮😮 Beepbeep Alex 🤓🇬🇪😸 Friendships from Belgium 😉🇧🇪👋
Very cool
Once the work finished, we come to regret that the blade was not longer.. So nice work ❤
But anyway, it's a singular tool or.. A dedicated all in one knife to aperitif tasks (Anedoctes included) 😄
What amazes me is you are able to do restorations on various items using the most basic of tool sets. I would love to be able to get my hands on all those old weapons. But I live in East Texas. Not a whole lot of battlefields. Se la vie. Please keep up the great work. If I may where do you live?
Restaurada baioneta 🔪😉
Nice job for what you had to start with, like the way you take something most people would throw and made it into a tool for shop use, thanks for the video.
Thank you!
I think it is the bayonet of the Italian Vetterli rifle🤔. Fun restoration, shame about the broken blade..
Arisaka bayonet, all information always in video description
Your friend was right! It's bayonet.
Nice job as usual. How much of the blade would you say is missing?
As my grandmother used to say, “Use it in good health” 👍
^_^
Looks like you turned that type 30 into an AKM (with a huge crossguard). For the defensive bayonet practitioner? 🤣
Great vision, for what most would deem to be scrap, as usual. 👍
Not much left to work with but a fantastic job nonetheless.

Nice result, was that a local beer brand? (just asking for a friend;-))
Very unique dagger, right up your alley, you always impress.where do you even come up with these items.making something out of nothing.great little video 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Hello Tom! Thanks, yes, it turned out to be such a bayonet keychain))
What is your favorite tool to use? excluding the sand blaster
Merci Alex. Patrick
I always wonder what shipwreck these items were salvaged from. Great job.
I love that
well you managed to turn it into something useable, well done for that
Thank you!)
nice now all you need is a very short rifle to fit it on
4:50 When you fail an NNN
i guess the length of that would mean it's meant for very close quarters combat. nice job as usual.
Giggity 😏
“It’s perfect”
))))
Good resto, but this must be the shortest bayonette in history. As such, I wouldn’t recommend trying to use it as one. May be a pocket knife or a toothpick.
)))))
