This is the best show for restoring anything that comes to your work desk. I am so happy I have found your channel because it's just that awesome plus it comes with a cooking segment...
I think it was made in eastern India, in a village called Saraon, and the maker called the knife: "England Polis" (Police), i.e., "English Police Knife."
I’m an individual from the US that doesn’t laugh very often. This had me giggling and smiling like I did when I was in grade school. Genuinely entertaining content, my friend! If I had to describe your content in one word, it would be “adorkable” which, for those not familiar with made up words in English, is a combination of adorable and dork, dork being used in an endearing sense to describe someone silly and playful. Apologies if you know this already, I just don’t know how good your English is, plus the slang we use can be pretty ridiculous. Have a good one to all!
As always a perfect restoration, I appreciate your talent including the leather work; keep up the fine job. I look forward to future restorations and recipes. 👍🏼👍🏼
Wow! Fantastic skills on the Leather Sheath. It came out beautiful. Where else can you come for a restoration and get a comedy show and dinner.😃 Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy watching your videos
That is what I call a wall hanger. Pretty to look at, but not much else. I always prefer a full tang. Never liked rat tail tangs, much less what ever kind of tang they call that. Got caught on a boot knife that was built like that in my youth. Broke it first time I used it to try and make a tent stake in the woods. A shame too because the profile of the blade is gorgeous. Be safe.
You did an excellent job of recovering that knife from the scrap pile. While I am _not_ a fan of short-tanged 'survival' knives, you did a very good job of increasing it's reliability. 👍 Spot-on job with the creation of proper sheaf as well. 👍👍 I'm guessing that the personalized engraving on the one side of the blade was an 'extra'...I'm sure there's an interesting story behind it. 😊
Whaaaat...We get two components paint...in the cracked bowl...awesome!!! You really did an amazing job...but I fear that those same points on the all thread that already broke twice will fail again and you will lose all your hard work..but I still watch.
It was a great restoration and some nice creativity for the strange handle but wouldn't the knife break rather easily at the tang in a survival situation where a lot of pressure would need to be applied?
Hello, thanks for the question. You asked me an interesting question. For example, here are a few of my restorations that I kept for myself. ruclips.net/video/rgLYuCvB-qQ/видео.html ruclips.net/video/wzVpPsvvXxU/видео.html ruclips.net/video/H9l3YHbdtM8/видео.html

Thank you for the information and attention!
For a survival knife that tang was built to fail. But what salvation job....brilliant 😁

The laugh when the thing flew out of the hole 😂

May I ask, of all the blade restorations you've done, which is your favorite?

A survival knife needs a larger tang, or at least a metal handle, to be strong enough for rough use. As it is, it may be prone to breaking.
