- Hop on one of our faster, greener, electric Class 385 trains and take a ride with us from Scotland's capital through the Central Belt to Stirling and Dunblane.
Thanks for posting this. I travelled this line a couple of thousand times as a commuter from Dunblane in the early 70's and again early 90's.
I wish there was sound on these :(
I agree.
@@AngryPunk Same!
Same but they can't apparently for privicy. They could of at least added a bit of music.
@@iamwhoiam8946 Oh gawd no! Music's worse!!
@@AngryPunk well it just depends what it is😂😂
Great . Enjoyed the lack of music and narrative. But missed the sounds of steel wheels and rail. Very enjoyable, keep them coming. Thanks. Rmb
Very good!
The reason why there's no sound is because the driver is singing GG Allin songs at the top of his lungs.
Cool
Absolutely love these types of videos, I couldn't explain why I just do! Please continue making them. (And if you're taking requests, what about the highland line between Inverness and Wick?)
Could you perhaps do one maybe in the North East like Aberdeen to Glasgow/Edinburgh or Aberdeen to Inverurie/Inverness? Possibly in either 170s or hsts?
Doing the route now on train sim 3 😂
I used to work train's out of Waverley including Dunblane.
Show us one from the Airdrie - Bathgate line soon.
No audio?
Thought my pc was playing up!
Those fishbowl windows do look good I have to say from the outside
She's the KING of the Panto
Not all occasions is Silence Golden.
Needs a music track if you can't have in cab sounds
Can I just ask why there’s no sound to these recordings?
Hi Alex, we don’t include sound in our videos because we don’t want our drivers to be distracted by the fact their voice is being recorded. At the end of the day, this is somebody’s office and it wouldn’t be right to stick a microphone in it.
@@ScotRail Maybe you could also reduce the number and frequency of announcements in the trains? They are utterly annoying.
Thank you for your feedback. There are no plans to change the frequency of announcements on our services which provide vital travel and safety information.
@@ScotRail As an alternative, the microphone could be in rear cab. Granted, there is more than likely a guard there but it'd be the better option than sticking it within the driver's cab. Or, as what may be a better alternative, some calm music in the background would be nice to guide your mind away from the fact there's no sound.
@@ScotRail could you not just add music in the background?
6:10 Murrayfield + 6:38 Balgreen tram stations, on right.
Is it possible for these types of videos but on lines like Helensburgh And Low Level lines?
Hi there, thanks for the suggestion. We'll look into it.
@@ScotRail Thank you!
At "6:12" in this video, I found that there was something like a replacement rail in the orbit, but if this is not completely fixed, some unexpected force ( If it comes into contact with the track due to an earthquake, animals, etc.), will it not cause the running train to derail? If it is a temporary installation considering the structure of the train wheels, I am sorry that I posted an extra thing.(Google translate)

Why no sound?
I was beginning to think my laptop was on the blink
Is there anyway you can add sound to these videos I do love you videos there's no sound at all I really would love everyone who watches these videos of yours would love sound please find a way
I'm afraid not, Heather. It's not fair to stick a microphone in someone's office! ^Angus
Again an excellent video. Again lacking sound is a grumble.
Where’s the sound??? i don’t really see any point without the sound.
Could the Glasgow South Western Line might be electrified to Stranraer, Dumfries and East Kilbride so that Class 320, Class 380 and Class 385 can operate on those routes.
Hi there, that's a decision for the Scottish Government / Network Rail.
@@ScotRail Ok 👍
I enjoyed this video and applaud ScotRail's initiative. However, it is a bit long at 50 minutes. I know I can set RUclips to play at 2x speed, but that's still 25 minutes plus dozens of adverts. I recall years ago watching a film "London to Brighton in Four Minutes" or something like that, and wonder if Scotrail could do a similar acceleration? For a while I thought my laptop had frozen till I realised your train was patiently waiting in Larbert station for what seemed like an eternity!
Maybe get YT premium
If you don't like adds get an add blocker for youtube
@@gardenman3 I didn't know you could do that. Thanks. I'll research how to!
plus these have to be the most uncomfortable trains on our network
Doesn’t make them bad I like the sound that they make
I'm sorry - it's just not the same without the sound. Please try to find a way to include sound in future, even if you have to gag the driver!
No sound AGAIN
What is the point of making such videos from the cab when you can't experience all the sounds of the journey. Other RUclipsr train drivers have sound, so why not Scotrail?!
I agree. Totally and utterly STUPID!
only gave it a thumbs down ...you need the sound to make it better
