Did you think this apartment was in your village? lol we are Paris and especially on the island of saint-louis! it is on average 16,000 € per square meter ... yes! in such perfect condition, do the math.
Others have been commenting on the open stairs over the kitchen sink. I agree. But open stairs are a 'no no' anyway! Open stairs (and stairs with no railings) are a safety hazard! A person could slip and their leg would go through. Railings prevent people from accidentally falling over and they provide security for the disabled. Whoever designed this didn't think of kids, seniors, those with disabilities, and people's pets!
Seniors and kids do not belong in such an apartment in the first place and perhaps a pet like a monkey might find this amusing but this place to me says "utter boredom and dubious taste".
The lesser nobility at Versailles lived in the same kind of space. The dining table is totally in the wrong place. You could put a piano there in the space, if it wouldn't bother the neighbors. I would put a credenza at the entrance to throw your keys and mail onto with a mirror above it to check yourself right before leaving.
It’s tiny but it’s Paris so like NYC an apartment this size would cost quite a bit! People forget that while they have no pennies in pocket to afford it, others do and would love to spend time in the heart of Paris❤️
Franchement.
Elegant, absolutely not. First impression felt like I was in a common breakfast room at a hotel. This apartment is sterile, with beds jammed at the end of hallways, and not an ounce of Parisian personality.
Why is everyone so pissed in this comment section? Haven't you seen apartments in Europe?! This is a standard one. And I'm an artist who loves color, I would just come with my personal touch as much as it is permitted. But the apartment is absolutely lovely and it has really everything it needs. Even the view is lovely. Why are people so fussy about? I've seen Soo much more worse at high prices.
Actually I find it quite beautiful. Also, sure there are many different concepts, such as the question of the stairs. But why does everyone forget about the caracteristhics of such an old building? It is the basics of what you can make out of the space.
Tragic. 1.2MEuros provide a fully furnished IKEA interior with questionably comfortable seating for 3 people, one bedroom with a tiny bedroom smashed against the wall and floor space dominated by oversized beams, and a second bedroom with a mattress on the floor. Beyond that, the IKEA kitchen is rendered useless by the overhead stairway which allows dirt and dust to fall through the open stairs onto your counters and stove. Fire the designer and the stager, and restore the original character to this unfortunate boring box.
And having an open staircase above the kitchen range is soooo hyegienic ;-)= the back of your shoe soles directly landing in the cooking pot / simmering soup! Aghhh!
I found this site by surprise. Sadly, I was very disappointed. I thought I'd see old world charm or a quirky, quaint flat... this home was stripped of all that made it Beautiful in my opinion
I like how they incorporated a fireplace. In my opinion, this is all designed very well with some very nice design element extras and makes great use of the space. I like the furniture as well, the kitchen, the bathrooms, I even think the stairs are awesome, designed very well, and nobody is walking with street shoes up those stairs. People must have very dirty feet to be scared of putting dirt in their food by walking those stairs.
Hands down the worst layout I've ever seen in my life, from the shoebox bedrooms to the open staircase over a ridiculous attempt at a barely-existent kitchen.
This apartment was for sale for €1,190,000 but is now sold. You can have a look at our other properties for sale in and around Paris here however 😉 www.frenchestateagents.com/paris-isle-of-france
The wooden supports are probably original. They are roof beams - together with the foundation and walls, the roof beams keep a building from falling down.
Which is why we have an agency nearby, to find your ideal dream Parisian apartement, based on your criteria. Some of them for instance, have original painting beams from the 16th century, that took 3 years to renovate, by a team of experts coming from the Louvre museum. We have that sort of rare find in our off market listings. Don't hesitate to pop into our Prestige agency, 17 rue St Louis en L'île, our experts lived there for more than 40 years, they simply kno wevery single property, every single building in the neighbourhood and can help you find your dream property in the French Capital. You can also use our search engine with your specific criteria here : go.leggett.eu/Kwbe
As TASTELESS as anything I have ever seen. Totally bland, blah. Because it was ALL white, I could not see if the stairs were open or not. At first I thought they were, then I was not sure. If they were, that would drive me lividly crazy! I would be washing the kitchen sink all day long. What a disappointment!!!
The nonsensical location of the open staircase and the bad quality sofas throughout show very little thinking. It's almost a waste to be this thrifty in a place with potential and call it luxury.
A starcase with open risers over your counter and sink where you prep food and wash your disher. Makes sense.
You'd think they'd have just put an island in. The idiots.
My exact thoughts. Who wants t feet and shedding human hair over your kitchen counter? Yuck!
I thought the same thing.
That way you can wash the dishes and look up her skirt
Yeah, that's what I thought, for me it's disgusting
1.2 Million Euros for a quaint but hardly expansive or even interesting apartment? The world has gone crazy.
Knead Paris’ prices 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's all about the address. Nothing else. Unimpressed. 🙅🙅..
It's Paris. Must be the location.
Did you think this apartment was in your village? lol

@@audreykennedy8891 yes there is Paris and ... Paris 😉
I liked the amount of natural light coming in, but that’s about it.
Agree a 100% !!!
I love the building it has so much character. And I love the staircase. Wish that was mine. Would love to live in France, such a romantic place
Others have been commenting on the open stairs over the kitchen sink. I agree. But open stairs are a 'no no' anyway! Open stairs (and stairs with no railings) are a safety hazard! The house doesn't have an elevator, so I'm guessing the house will serve only rich young people or air b'n'b guests.
Seniors and kids do not belong in such an apartment in the first place and perhaps a pet like a monkey might find this amusing but this place to me says
"utter boredom and dubious taste".
@@imalrockme I'm betting on air b'n'b or pied-a-terre. Can't imagine anyone living there on a daily, year-round basis.
They dont make railing because it will saw as partition for whole, therefore this small apartment look smaller.
How do you sweep/ clean the stairs without dirt falling below on the kitchen counter? Or do you use a hand held vacuum?
Basically that counter is always dirty.
Now I know the secret ingredient to French cooking......toe jam and Parisian street dirt from the underside of one’s shoes
They upgraded all the historical charm right out of that apartment. So sad.
Right. I wonder how it looked before. The outside looks so nice and vintage, even the hallway.
What a lovely courtyard 🌿🌲🌳🌿
An apartment in the attic (no elevator), a bedroom in a corridor and the kitchen under the stairs...
Whas thinking the same
And still.. a unique gem in the 4th district of Paris, which is why it was sold super fast.
@@LeggettImmobilierProperty No Thank You!
@@LeggettImmobilierProperty The address sold super fast. The house just came with it.
Love the building and the foyer but the apartment has, sadly, been stripped of its charm.
It’s tiny but it’s Paris so like NYC an apartment this size would cost quite a bit! People forget that while they have no pennies in pocket to afford it, others do and would love to spend time in the heart of Paris❤️
Dan's le Coeur de Paris! Magnifique! Baudelaire aussi habitat l Ile Saint Louis! Splendide! 🇫🇷💕
I will take that apartment in a heart beat. Lovely neighbourhood, beautiful building and a very charming place.

Elegant, absolutely not. First impression felt like I was in a common breakfast room at a hotel. This apartment is sterile, with beds jammed at the end of hallways, and not an ounce of Parisian personality.
Well we can complain but the real estate agent has the last laugh.... It's sold😮
Suckerrrrrrr!
P.T. Barnum said it: "There's a sucker born every minute."
Sold wow
Stunning. Can’t believe people find anything to criticize.
Almost every ounce of character has been stripped out. What a shame. Pass.
Absolutely right. How awful. It could be in Kansas City.
I LOVE this. Think of the color you could incorporate. Very nice.
OK this apartment is absolutely nothing to brag about
Totally agree. Strangest bedroom spaces in the world.
keki3173 :Exactly! To contemporary for me
The best thing was the view out over the courtyard, nothing else appealed to me.
I must be hungry. I SWEAR I read that as:
Eggplant Parmesan Apartment
R Bledsoe LOL 😆
LOL SOO funny!
@ R Bledsoe Funniest Response ever !!!🤣
I love the simplicity. Very cozy.
Cozy. I guess it's a matter of taste. It looks like a doctor's office.
Un régal,
Excellent travail,

They probably haven't been anywhere or seen anything. Just comparing it with their miserable little "perfect" lives.
Love it.....very different and great layout!! Thank you....
Actually I find it quite beautiful. Also, sure there are many different concepts, such as the question of the stairs.
But why does everyone forget about the caracteristhics of such an old building? It is the basics of what you can make out of the space.
I also have to change apartment shortly and I can't wait to record the video of my new room and the video home tour❤️
Not sure about the staircase though
This looks like a squalor. It is great for some sort of a servant quarter tho.
What’s with that post right in the middle of the hallway?
That's not an Apartment that's a loft! 😱
Bien sur!
Open tread staircase over the worktop surely that's not right?
It was so pretty outside. I was so underwhelmed by the inside though. Disappointing...

Very beautiful house.

Beautiful place
The wood structure is perfectly matching with the white. And that staircase... Splendid!!! Brilliant
My favorite part is that huge beam almost completely blocking the hallway to the “bedroom”. Lol
LOL I know right! I was thinking the same! Aside from looking ridiculous in such a small space, this beam is perfect for tripping over it!!!
Simply the best.....
Sterile, cold, soulless, UNcharming.
Nope.
You mean, modern, minimalist, not cluttered? Absolutely my taste!
the entrance reminded me of the movie "Gigi", where Mamita and Gigi lived. Too many steps. Very spartan.
I love the red doors! Gotta keep those stairs clean! I'd stay in it if it were Air B & B.
This is, of course, where the maids would sleep... The apartment that counts is on the street...
It would actually be on the third floor.
Beautiful, but it can be prestigious as all the Elite love, but if it doesn't have an elevator, FORGET IT!
I agree, beautiful, but the elevator is important.
You want elevator, you go to a new-built high rise. This is a 17th century building - you can't just shove an elevator in there.
Omg I love it
I found this site by surprise. Sadly, I was very disappointed. I thought I'd see old world charm or a quirky, quaint flat... this home was stripped of all that made it Beautiful in my opinion

Beautiful apartment, it's really nice indeed!
Not worth that amount of money, way to small

How would you have done it better in that small space? If there is no room, there is no room.
The entrance seems a cellar/ garage door very cheap... ehh bedroom in a corridoi dir rust price?
I like this style and decoration, except the wooden supports, by the way, how much does it cost?

Yeah, about $48,000 tops !!
it probably could be, but the location makes it expensive. Im guessing if you have money to buy it, you have it for rearrangement and redecoration
Great for a wee family. Bon chance.
I like exposed beams, but not in the MIDDLE of a hallway.
I looks like a place just to show the decoration. It don't give you the feeling of coziness that a home should have...

Need an Uber to cross the courtyard and a motorized stair lift to access the apartment's front door. Then voilà! Your own attic closet penthouse!
No more short time rental in Paris for 1 year at least.......good or bad investment?
Just getting to your front door looks like a chore. Inside cheap and modern. Looks like the old servants quarters.
I was expecting more when I clicked on this...
You got to be kidding they rip the soul right out of that building

They killed all the character! This hurt my heart.
Oooooh my its woow
Add plexiglass to seal off the underside of the stairs
Where is the TV?
Such a bland apartment, really missed a trick here to make this something very special.

nice, but don't fancy the stairs over my food prep area
Open bedroom? Theres no door for the first bedroom. Bad.
