🔌What up fam, hope y'all liked this tutorial. Ive been getting request to drop this video and here it is. Make sure to give me some feedback and let me know what you'd like to see next in the comment section below.
StudioPlug great tutorial man in most mixing tutorials they dont even talk about the proportion of the leveling but you really showed us in what db you usually keep each sound
I am completely new new to all of this. You three part series of EQ and Leveling, mixing and mastering has been a BIIIIIIIGGGGG help. Thanks. Keep Pushing!!
This video tripped me out. I was pretty much doing the same sorta thing when adjust volumes except I control them at the clip level not on the mixer level and I kept sounds at around -23 db (with master off) just so I can give it more "breathing" space later. I've never even seen an FL video on mastering 'til today. I guess messing around with FL Studio for years and just messing around with everything taught me some "sound logic" pun totally intended. Cool to hear some stuff that I do being verified. Thanks for the video :)
Mad respect and a lot of thanks. After taking a century and a half from making music I need a refresher course haha. I spend so much time in this step and I can see I need to learn more
Yo Plug, just wondering why you took down a lot of your earlier vids? I was gonna go back watch some of the ones that I saved but they're gone. This was a helpful video btw tho looking forward for more!
Damn this helped me so much!!!!! You are my hero. I always put the melodies why too high so there was less room for the rest. And the kick and 808 video helped my a lot too.
Bro we need that master video asap like yesterday lol im working on this beat that kinda rock meets trap and its crying for a good mix and master dope vid btw keep em coming
OptimusBePrime honestly if your a beginner or just want a quick and clean mastered sound the preset “mastering 2.4 dB” on the fruity multiband compressor is pretty good, Maximus is also very good if your willing to watch tutorial videos on how to use it.
You have to remove the low end of the synth with a EQ. If you keep the low end it's gonna clash with the 808's, or you can have it but play it seperately in the tracks
Lee W .. I think what emmie meant was you Can't.. Unless You Have them play in different parts of the track , Not at the same time.. The only way you CAN have them play at the same time is if You take away the LOW end of the {Bass Synth} that's when your EQing [With the parametric Eq] .. once you have the 808 drop along with the Bass Synth basically do that take away the bassy part of the synth {Wich kinda just makes it a regular synth) BUT it gives it that feel.. So yeah.. Anything otherwise Will just make the two different types of bases clash with eachother .. Same goes with two bass synths playing together or just two regular bases.. Lmao . But yeah It's Just a EQing thing not really a leveling or mixing thing.
this was cool, honestly i used 2 mix in mono bout a year ago or so but it just wasnt for me. its a great way 2 start as well as getting used 2 leveling, panning ect for ur mix, but i do feel it can sometimes cause problems in the end....at the sametime if u do it otherways u can also come across similar patterns. i suggest u all do your best EQing ur sounds mono or not
Thanks bro!!!! Really Helpful! In the past whenever I've sent a beat off to get mixed, engineers have requested each stem to be at-6db or less. Normally I would make a beat and adjust the volumes in the sequencer as I go along, then level in the mixer. Should I adjust the volume on each channel in the sequencer to -6db or less before I mix the beat your way?
I fcking lov u man, great tutorial, great producer and one hell of a beat! u inspire me whole lots! Thank you for this tutorial, u earned urself a subscriber
Which of your drum kits have the crash you are using? - If anyone else have some great crashes reply plz, 'cause i'm struggling to find some good ones... Anyways, thanks for yet another helpful video, keep it up!
It’s only needed if you’re clipping the master channel. A majority of the time you won’t. The stronger the audio signal goes to your mix, the better your fx plugins are to work in the mix.

lionbeats spend 10 racks on a new mix? I could do this myself yeah
@@bigabeats1621 you replied to a 1 year old comment 🤠
what levels should the melodies be?
Vro... what if i want to put vocals on it... in which range do they play? also 27? it feels a bit quiet tho ... HELP
keep it around 18db let the vocals sit on the rest, remember to eq the beat in the low and mid/high frequencies to let the vocals sit better.
the thing is u need to use dynamic eq and make it go upfront it's gonna feel louder but really is just in front
you my new favorite youtubers I swear I love you bro thanks....its because you make everything so easy thanks...
You are one of best I have ever seen
I find myself coming back to this and your mastering video every time I finish a production. It makes me happy because I finish a project finally :)

what about panning? is it as important just leveling?
Wow bro thanks for this video. It def cleared a lot of the fog up for me when it comes to where my leels should be around generally
*levels
I usually do the same with the leveling, it really helps starting on 0db and working your way up
KNEW Beatz u mean starting at -50 db
Nice, the best tuturial. Thanks for help me!

Do you have a video on how to make a song with a bass synth and 808 playing at the same time?
Lee W Why would you want to do that?
Lmao

No lie but one of my biggest challenge has been volume levels ....ive been making my own sounds for yearrs
You're not alone bro
Do you still mix your beats this same way & use maximus to master them "Make them louder" for your beat store?
I was lookin to see if u was gona do gaining first .
It’s only needed if you’re clipping the master channel. A majority of the time you won’t. The stronger the audio signal goes to your mix, the better your fx plugins are to work in the mix.
@@StudioPlugChannel ok
How did u make the volume louder when u clicked on effects @6:45 and 6:56? My volume stays very low when I try this method
