Nice tips. "Mutes" is one of my favorites, I think no other trick gets such bang for the buck for such little effort. Literally all you have to do is take out a group of instruments for a bar, then let them come back in, and BAM you instantly have one of the most powerful, hard-hitting parts of your song/beat. Don't do it too much though - especially within one song - or it gets predictable (like all production tricks)
I just got back into music production (as a hobby) and I have to say seeing how happy and energetic this guy always in on here and Twitch etc, seeing how he’s always just enjoying the process is one of the greatest inspirations I’ve ever had from any producer. This guy helped me learn in just a couple of videos to just ENJOY the journey! 🎹🎼
To make a beat like this even bigger I'd recommend taking another ambience, stereo separating it, add some reverb with like 30-40% dry, add some midrange PP delay & sidechain it slightly with the kick. Gives the effect of the kick punching into the mix
yo, i been on your channel for a few hours and i gotta say, i love the content you put out, and your personality just makes it fun to continue watching the video. bless up 🙏🔥
I will now bestow upon you some of my arrangement sauce. Use some kind of distortion and reverb on the master, then lower them to zero in the mix. Then automate them to taste so that they will go on in the outro to make it really weird and spacious. It doesn't need to be either of those specifically, but using something to make your outro sound really faded and almost like and ambient sound itself will work
Bro love the energy and the way you explain things, just got “uppers” couldn’t believe it was only 5 bucks that’s super value! You a real one homie keep it up 🔥🔥🔥
Bro this is my first time watching a full video from you. I’ve been watching other fl studio tutorials as I am about 50 hours into the profession and wanting to make some fire this summer. I learned so much from your video and your uppers is only $5. Am buying
Reminding us of the basics. I like that because all the things I used to do like ghost kicks fillers and stuff, I stopped and I would just make regular stuff and I would wonder why there is no energy in my stuff. Its not that I became lazy, I just forgot about that stuff. I'll start using them again. Nice video
I was watching for advice until I realized *I've subconsciously been doing all of these for a while not even realizing that these were actually helpful techniques* Percs of learning on your own for 3+ years I guess. Great advice though!
Dudebro, I didn't even know about the automation! I kinda just flung myself into Fruity Loops and just started messing around. This is going to help so much! Thank you!
Im about to buy FL studio and watch all your videos bro, I’m 31 and you’ve inspired me to start learning a new craftsmanship. Thank you and I’ll be reaching out soon when I’m all set up
love the vintage simon. i owe a good deal of fl studio knowledge to him when all i had was music theory. now i developed into genres i thought i'd never make music for. cheers bro
Bro you have no idea how much this helped me. I needed relatable videos like this where it's not too complicated but can still turn out dope af. And I can make my beats much better with these tips. Much appreciated brotha
I don't know if putting all these fills etc. is good, just because it can't distract a person while rapping, same with automations. Imho it all should've been done later, after we got vocals. That's how I feel, maybe I'm wrong. But when i hear beats on the internet, most of them are just "raw", not meaning they're not mixed, cuz they are. What I mean by this is that their beats doesn't have any special effects, automations, maybe sometimes some type of risers and that;s all. The rest is done later after recording vocals
Yeah I totally get how you feel. But having all the effects done later will require individual stems which makes it usually 50-100$ more expensive. As opposed to buying a 30$ with effects that you can just slap vocals on top. A good rapper should be able to make those automatons and effects work anyway.
If any rapper finds it difficult with that they can literally just record with a metronome. All a rap verse needs to be is in time to work with any specific beat really
I would like to see lesson about Mixing. Because I have a lot of problems with conflicts between instruments. )) i think a lot of people want to get that
revisiting this because this beat is soooo monstrous my guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks to you my production level has elevated since your first videos!!!
Something about the automation I wish somebody had told me earlier: To automate things that you can not right-click or that do not show the "create automation clip" option (like parameters from an external plugin): Go to Tools --> Last Tweaked --> Create Automation Clip
Pretty simple.. Adjust the knob in the external vst plugin you want to automate, then go to: tools>last tweaked>create automation clip.. You're welcome
@Servida Music , What I really like with your channel is you dont cut around the bush I can just watch and learn while most FL tutorials are guys just talking forever, keep it up bro

Well put, man. I’ll keep that in mind.
I watch a lot of tutorials. This one makes the rest look amateur. You presented good information succinctly without fillers. Definitely subbing.
This makes me so happy

THAT 808 IS SO CRISP...
👌
Now how would you go about bass that crisp on fl mobile??? Cant ever seem to get the bass just right on my beats...
Maybe it's the sample
@@ServidaMusic i right now only use the standard samples. Havent bought or downloaded any extras. You are probably correct. Thanks!!
