what worked for me, is to really find out what works for me. instead of fully focussing on the style of other producers, and just copying their workflow. make sure to push through dissatisfaction, because thats when you really learn and improve
Half the time it actually sounds right you just need to take a break and come back to it later. Or just send it to someone else they can add fire drums to it.
