Dude I’ve learned so much watching your videos. I’m too broke to pay a producer for beats so I had to figure it out on my own. But with dirkey teaching me we gone make some 🔥
Real talk man. These last months i saw some youtube creators that copied your thumbnails. I aint gon drop names but you know We know. Good production and video as usual. You never disappoint 💪
Subbed bro. And I've got credits from Willie D (Geto Boys), Felo (Swishahouse), ESG (Screwed Up Click), GGO Kurt, Kacee Playaa amongst more major Texas rap artists. I'm scraping towards 40 and you inspire me to make a variation of other type of beats. Keep doin what you doin.
do you know after you make the melody for a fact what type bass/808 your tryna add or do you kinda figure it out as you go? imma beginner but I think I need more insight w what typa 808 pattern I'm tryna incorporate into my beats, I understand I kinda gotta stick to a style tho, I make a plethora of varieties I can't just lock in on one sub genre. could you make videos going into the style/pattern of 808 for each genre you make? I feel that could help me separate my sounds and select a certain flow for the 808s before I even finish the melody [idk if this last part made much sense, but I'm just tryna gain a better understanding and learning towards 808 patterns that correspond w whatever im tryna come up with.
Im already doing it, but Love ur beats bro🔥🔥, i started six months ago before that i never knew how to make music in anyway, now im stuck in a music trap but i fkn love it!🔥🔥🔥
Maybe this is controversial, but I think there is some validity to trying to make someone's midi for the sake of understanding why it sounds good and why it works. When I learned to play guitar there was really no way I could've learned to improvise the way I do now without learning some established music first. Especially with something like FL where you don't really develop muscle memory I can't lie when I first started making beats I remade a couple of your melodies because I needed to understand them. I had go build the midi and see the actual timing to understand how it all works together. But I'd NEVER send it to you and/or treat it as my own lol that's crazy I treated it like practice and it helped me eventually figure out my own sound down the line. Ive moved past that and make all my samples on my own from scratch now, but I think remaking some peoples melodies here and there, especially famous ones, for the sake of learning can be really helpful. Just dont pawn it off as your own and pretend that it was your ear behind it
Dirkey! I have a question. When you try to push the notes off the grid do you do it randomly or do you hear it and them decide what to move? seems like a lot of work thats not fun if you do lol.
They feel happy inside when they steal. When they copy it makes them initially feel like they're are you.. Its like when you buy a dope jacket, then someone asks you where you got it...next day they're standing beside with same jacket smiling feeling perfectly fine..... its dork behavior 🤣
Dope sh*7 bro... Could you incorporate some brass into the melody next time? For instance, a counter-melody with a saxophone (for this project) would’ve been amazing
I like your philosophy on music from recent the titles it seems you have more to say. It's as if you're taking what I'm saying in my vids but putting it it more lit videos. I have my own philosophies and make sounds from scratch which then inspire the beat and want to connect with you. I put a lot of effort into mixing too I think that's way more important and that kinda cuz i wanna make it sound good. I can just send you sounds (for free) and it just be that or whatever. I can email you if you're interested but i do take it seriously.
"If you're just copying someone, you're never going to get bigger than them, you feel me? Since you're copying everything that they're doing, and they're already doing it, so it wouldn't make sense for you to just straight up copy what they're doing, cuz everybody will just go to them instead of you, you feel me?" Damn Kamala should've gotten you to run her campaign lol
