So does the SUBWOOFER: ON/OFF only control the RCA Subwoofer output or just the menus? There's nothing in the manual on exactly what SUBWOOFER ON/OFF does and can you use the Subwoofer RCA outputs by themselves and use the radio internal amplifier for the other 4 speakers?
What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? Subwoofer on/off switches the RCA subwoofer output on / off. You can use any or all of the speaker level outputs and any or all of the RCA outputs at the same time. No worries. The RCA outputs and the Speaker outputs are two different things. The RCA outputs are the Red and White jacks on the back of the in dash receiver. RCA outputs are used for sending the audio signal out to external amplifiers. You can see the RCA outputs in this video: ruclips.net/video/CGORVcgvLgw/видео.html The Speaker level outputs are the Gray, White, Green and Purple wires in the wire harness. You can learn more about wiring your Pioneer in dash receiver here: ruclips.net/video/kR2MO2kwFug/видео.html You can use the Rear Speaker Output to operate a small subwoofer. For example a 6.5 or 8 inch subwoofer. Be sure to set up the Rear Speaker Output as Subwoofer output for this to operate.
