Superman saying: "is it that hard to believe that some people just to help?" felt more like superman than any modern edgy writter could have done. Hell i can even see Christopher Reeves saying that, and he was written by Mario Puzo!
Actually the final script was ghostwritten by Tom Mankiewicz, all that's left of Puzo in the first two films are basic stuff like Luthor and Zod being the bad guys, but his script wasn't used, they just kept his name as the screenwriter cause The Godfather was still fresh in people's minds and they wanted to ride off that. Puzo's script had sex scenes in it so safe to say it would've been a departure lmao

I think the reason why they chose to have the villains as humans instead of meta-humans is because of how the show is setting up the world. Besides the near-future setting allowing more futuristic weapons, through worldbuilding with the newspapers, we get a world where meta-humans do not exist or at least are not known to the public. This leads to superman being the first superhero and allows him to live in a world where its him figuring out what it means to be him. That's kinda why the event of him being photographed flying as a kid is seen as a "miracle" rather than just as another meta-human or something. This also makes the theme of superman being seen as a sign of hope more effective than if other superheroes already existed. It also allows him to fight stuff without being overpowered and adds mystery to the character of Superman.
Besides, it’s never too late to make Livewire, Banshee, and Parasite, Metas. Perhaps that tech will have an effect on them. Perhaps Cadmus will have that effect. Making them more like their comic counterparts in the future.
Yeah I expect in this story metahumans will be developed as a counter to Superman existing, because there’s no way normal humans can fight him. Mutation as a result of trying to use the technology, which seems to be alien in origin, would also make sense and explain Cadmus’s focus on retrieving people who have been using it.
@@brucechmiel7964: Exactly, especially with both Livewire and Parasite, their use of alien tech seems to have already permanently altered them. This series is still very much an origin story still in motion with both the heroes and villains having not yet reached their final forms.
Superman is always better in animation than in live action. He and his over-the-top action scenes just lend themselves to the medium. That said, an anime-styled version with him learning how to be Superman is inspired, heartwarming, and very welcome.
Superman and Lois has a certain brand of live-action camp that one's mileage will certainly vary on. I can't take the show seriously (or look away from Superman's weirdly gigachad-meme-like face), but I do hear good things from the people who get into it.
I’m going to have to respectfully disagree. All of the live action renditions did IMHO a better job of conveying the humanity and personality better than any animated version. Batman however, is definitely better animated. None of the live Batman movies can touch Kevin Conroy’s or Bruce Greenwood’s performances. Ben Affleck came extremely close.
@pattgsm Ehhhh, I feel that the Man of Steel incarnation, in particular, was too focused on making Superman as a concept "scary" and "godlike" to spend much time on his "humanity." Which is UNFORTUNATE, because when I ignore the movies themselves, Cavill is A-plus casting for Superman and has the best costume, too.
@@OneTrueNobody Cavill was amazing but I can agree they went in an unexpected direction w/ the character. I loved it because it shows that he wasn’t a god. You realize that the rouge Kryptonians killed about 6 soldiers in Smallville and the World Engine had to have killed at lest 1000 ppl in Metropolis. This is the 1st Superman movie that had high stakes and consequences. I’m surprised Nolan’s Batman gets a pass when tons of ppl died and there were tons of ppl that Batman didn’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t save in those films.
This Superman feels right. There's a part of that fandom in the later generation that expect him to be like Batman. He's different in that he actually cares enough about people to porotect otheres while The Caped Crusader hides his humanity trying to save everybody else.
@@DemonicRemption They might be referring to the way Man of Steel aped a lot of the structural make-up of Batman Begins, and Superman's portrayal in general has had an edgy feeling for a while. "Cheerful boy scout" is also a fantastic description of the OG Superman, so I'd... maybe avoid speaking for "Superman fans" on that point. If you're more of a New 52 Superman fan, then I can understand not knowing that, because around that time they rebooted him to be, ah, snarkier, a bit more aggressive in temperament, that sort of thing. But the OG Superman was fundamentally more of an aspirational character, and often played as a direct foil to Batman's darker nature.
@@DemonicRemption Just look at all the new evil "supermen." Homelander, omniman, brightburn, etc. People have begun to look at classic superman as unrealistic and too optimistic
When Klark saver that cat i was sold. That moment showed me this series cared about the aspects of Superman I love so dearly. A person that, despite everything, makes time for kindness. No plight is too small for Superman to try solving
It’s weird, because I’ve never really had like, a definitive version of Supe’s voice in my head, but the voice acting for him is like, perfect somehow. He sounds great as Clark believably different as Superman, just a fantastic job.
Snyder obsessed with the God-complex of Superman, which was a weird choice considering that’s almost never been a core staple of the character, at least in his main form. All the God-complex stories usually came from Elseworlds and What If side stories. The problem with Snyder’s Superman is he took an Elseworlds story and made it the main canon. Superman has always been about humanity, compassion, kindness. Not what it means to be a God, but what it means to be a good person.
@@Marvin-lu3hj Exactly. The point of Zacks take on Superman was to be the start of his journey to be that hero he will soon strive to be. But in the beginning of when answering the call to adventure. I’m glad we are moving past Synder’s Superman. It sucks that they wasted Henry Cavil, but with My Adventures with Superman and Superman and Lois it feels like Superman is back
With this Clark and Lois, it’s not a matter of will they won’t they, it’s a matter of WHEN? Because from these interactions, I’d say it definitely will.
I've never been much of a superman fan before. I just haven't really engaged much with his stories outside of the justice league, but I'm really enjoying this so far. The anime style is working for me.
I am LOVING the show but i should also mention that Superman & Lois is also a great offering that gets at least the title character just right. Tyler Hoechlin's Clark and Liz Tulloch's Lois are the standouts, they feel exactly as they should. Despite the show borrowing a lot from Snyder visually, it actually departs quite a lot from the potrayal of the characters from the movies. In any case, i think MAWS gets the spirit and the portryal of Superman even better. It's at its core hopeful, which is what a Superman story should always be about. I loved Snyder's trilogy but it tries to look at these characters in a way that isn't really what these characters are about.
It is so refreshing to see Superman return to his wholesome roots. I got really tired of seeing Superman as this “god-like figure”, it just pushes me away from it (not religion related, it’s just boring to me). Plus it’s really nice seeing the show focus equally on the alter egos of Superman and Clark Kent, I feel like a lot of Superman stuff forgets about the Clark element of Superman. Plus the fact that Lois is a tomboy spunky reporter and Jimmy is the conspiracy-loving and joke-loving photographer just adds to the awesome chemistry the trio have. It’s just so good to see.
I hear ya. While Superman is a Godlike character power wise the only “God” I’d compare him to is mainly Jesus mainly becuse both are compassionate and actually don’t see humanity as a burden but love it and actively strive to show humans a better way which for a godlike character is very human. What’s special about Clark isn’t his alien power but rather his humanity. As Batman says “He’s the most human of us all.”
I agree with everything in this video, the characterization of Clark and the commitment to optimism are beyond fantastic and leave you with a smile on your face. I hope this show fixes the public perception of Superman as being either boring or edgy to what he actually is, a guy just trying to do the right thing.
This is one of my favorite shows on air right now. It feels so wholesome, and yet has good writing for characters so they aren't ideots. It feels believable in the way characters would act given these scenarios
@@garycannon4644A lot of the people who say they hate Superman use the 90s show as examples why 💀 because outside of the movies, that's the most known mainstream version. Not that the show is bad, but a lot of the complaints that he spends most of the show being slow to react and getting beat up. While it captures the character overall, that can be annoying to watch. That's why I always recommend the mainline comics to see him still be relatable, a symbol of hope and still know how to throw hands. He seems so slow and overly passive in the 90s show and spends most of the series on his back.

This Superman feels like a geuine, bright-eyed, younger version of the Superman from Superman TAS. TAS Clark Kent is older, wiser, and a bit more sassy but hes still kind Thats the word you HAVE to have when you're writing Superman, Kind. If Kind isnt one of the first words you use to describe him then its not Superman Also just as a side note I kinda love his mother's character design. She looks like a genuine Midwestern farm mom. Growing up in a rural area with tons of actual farmers Mrs. Kent looks and feels so real definitely the kind of mom that would raise a guy like Clark
this show is actually my first real exposure to Superman. i've always been a Marvel fan, and never really gave DC any attention. growing up i obviously knew who he was, but I never read the comics, watched any of the movies or tv shows, or played any games featuring him. i learned the basics of his story and ridiculously OP list of powers through pop culture references, kids at school talking about him, and internet content. then a random tweet informed me of a new show that fans were calling one of the best representations of Superman... ever. With an artstyle that instantly caught my eye and an age rating that meant it wouldn't be another Invincible, i decided to give it a watch. and i'm a really big fan! whenever a new episode drops, i try to watch it immediately, and i'm really excited to see where the series goes :) also Lois is adorable
This is what Superman is supposed to feel like. I’ve gotten chills while watching every episode. If a Superman story doesn’t give me chills, it’s doing something wrong. Hope tastes amazing!
My Adventures with Superman is a great refresh of Superman that kids and superhero liking adults are able to enjoy! It's a bit more like Marvel's Spider 2014 (or Ultimate Spider-Man comics) when it comes to how it integrates its villains. It gives the show a vibrant directly modern day environment to explore.
I was never a big fan of Superman..but watching the Snyder films progressively ignore his personality and turn him into a Synder-esque depressed moping god-character just breaks my heart. Superman deserved better. Henry Cavill deserved better. Everyone deserved better (except for the Snyder fanboys - they deserve to have their days ruined by good writing).
I didn't know Mist, Roughhouse, and Silver Banshee before this, but I really liked them in the show and the sibling relationship they seem to have. I really like villains that are villains but genuinely care about their friends/family.
Agree that it's wonderfully optimistic. Superman is even wise enough to know when not to fight, he understands that not every problem can be solved with your fists. The world is full of pessimists, why lump Superman in with them? Here's to the return of the big blue boy scout!
I really appreciate the way that Clark gets enough center stage to feel like the real person in the dichotomy between Superman and Clark. A lot of superheroes go through this because secret identities are a part of the job description, but the version of Superman I like the most is the one where Clark is the real person and Superman is a role he takes on. Superman isn't just aspirational to everyone else, but also to himself. He was raised as Clark Kent, and in a show like this where his origins are still unclear to him, that’s especially important.
Jimmy as a secondary character, Jimmy Olsen was originally created for the Superman Radio show, this being radio in the 1940's Superman needed characters to talk to, the show geared towards kids Jimmy was made for the audience to relate to. Since they also had Clark to talk to Inspector Henderson and Perry White were created.
I like both versions of superman, I grew up with Snyder’s version and it’s what introduced me to the character. But I also like my adventures with superman for the character designs, color pallet, and animation. Both strive to do their own thing with the character and I just really appreciate that.
After decades of living with so much negativity in the world. I needed something so bright and hopeful again. I have never been a huge superman fan but this show makes me love the character.
I have seen versions of superman in other stories and i always felt like he was a little full of himself. This still feels true to what's important to rhe character but i like this version more. Quite frankly it makes more sense. Someone who is always trying to do the right thing should feel like they are trying because people are human and make mistakes. The versions ive seen even before snyder always made me uncomfortable when they weren't willing to budge because it felt like he knew he was the authority on morality. This is someone who i genuinely believe wants to help and is willing to admit fault and correct himself. He hasn't even needed to. Ironically, the versions of different movies and cartoons ive seen have me distrusting superman and siding with lex a disturbingly large amount of the time. But i feel like this is a superman I would trust no matter what. Plus lets be real hes adorable how can you not like him?
Supes is my favorite ❤💙 he was created because the world is a harsh, grim place and he CHOOSES to use it for good, which is an inspiring concept. We could really use some wholesome Supes right now honestly

In the other superman stories wr met a Superman who had all of the powers/ knew about krypton but this superman being inexperienced, we are discovering his story along with him. This along with the anime-esq style works so well.
It's the more lighthearted and good natured superman that I've always loved to read/watch. This is the animated show we all needed with how edgy he has been in the new 52 run, injustice, and the live action films. I absolutely love the show and this is my favorite version of Lois Lane ever.
Happily Superman enters the public domain in 2024 along with Lois Lane and the city of Metropolis. Then we can start telling our own stories about him.
This is the Superman I've been waiting for since Christopher Reeve's Superman. MAWS gives us back that magic Superman learning the ropes as Clark and the his heroic persona. Bravo for MAWS!❤
Great show. Can't say much coz of spoilers, but I love the direction the show is going as early as eps 4. This opens up a lot of potential stories that never made it out of the comics books. Great job Studio Mir as always
I know not everyone likes anime but I have really enjoyed the anime influences. It actually works because Superman embodies truth in earnest. A lot of anime has a very naive but optimistic feel that adapts well to what Superman embodies.

@@TheDc007fan Not in the sense and context I'm talking about there isn't. I'm talking about the literal time they have to tell a story, and doing more with Jimmy specifically. Properly focusing on Jimmy would be a time commitment, and require giving up other things. I'm not saying they can't do anything with him going forward, it looks like they're setting up character stuff with him, but there was no time in the first four episodes for more than they did without taking away from something else, and even less time to do it properly.
I have never in my life considered myself particularly interested in the world of Superman or his lore. This series however has changed all of that, and I cant wait to see where it goes from here!
I think you can see by Episode 3 that the writers are intentionally shafting Jimmy so that he can get his own arc later in the season. It's clear that he feels left out because Clark and Lois are gaga over each other and he's only now catching up with that. Funnily enough, an episode released after this video came out helps support this, with Jimmy reacting in a sadder manner in regards to Lois and Clark walking each other home while Jimmy actually did his job. I think this is actually a genius decision because it's going to show Superman gaining faults to contrast the morally perfect farm boy that he tries to be. It'll show that he isn't perfect, and rekindling his relationship with Jimmy would symbolize how much he still has to learn. Though this is merely speculation, so take my analysis with a grain of salt.
As a pessimist who relates to Batman's worldview...I love this show because I NEED this Superman who actually GIVES me hope instead of just lip-service.
Don't mind me, just going to every video about this show and leaving an upvote to show support. Rise up Superman fans, we've had a rough go of it this past decade, but we're finally eating good.
I really like this version of Superman. He passes my test with flying colours. For anyone wondering. My test is to listen to Matthew by John Denver and Starman by David Bowie. If the vibes of those two songs match Clark and Superman then the test is passed.
New follower here. I love your optimism and constructive criticism in your videos. My favorite part of the series so far is that Clark Kent and Superman are newbies. Because of this the line between both identities is thinner than usual. It feel like he is learning in real time instead of doing the classic time skip montage that we’ve seen so many times.
I'm sorry, but Snyder's last theatrically released movie featuring Superman was 7 years ago. There's been multiple projects without him since. Why do people act like he's still making Superman films?
i saw a quote the other day that, if you think about it, is pretty accurate. It simply said "We've never had a bad Lois Lane". . . if you think about it. . that's pretty accurate. Every actress who has played Lois has pretty much done a fantastic job. I like that.
It's nice to see an optimistic Superman. Leave the darkness and pessimism to Batman I say. I also like that they were willing to go ahead and make Superman kind of a lovable dork.
I like this take on superman because he isn't portrayed as some Godlike figure. He's just some guy that just so happens to have extreme physical abilities.
we have gotten this cleck before. He's a completely loveable dork good touse boy scout with a hard of cold who is both 2 nice and to drok for anyone to believe he is Superman. this is exactly how Christopher reves acted in the moves for the 70s.
My Adventures With Superman is, as you put it, an injection of a hopeful world and a hero still trying to figure out all aspects of his life. His wanting to be normal and have a normal life is perfectly fine, balancing his personal needs with his Kansas upbringing to be a contributor to his community and society at large and help each other out. The angle of (almost) every villain having their powers as a result of kryptonian tech is starting to wear itself a wee bit thin but being introduced to Mister Mxyzptlk and the multiverse should begin to move Clark/Superman, Lois and Jimmy into his more traditional villains. Can't wait to see how they bring in Lex Luthor because he is as important a figure in Superman lore as anyone else currently in the series.
The neat part of the villains so far is all of their powers are actually just advanced technology and superman stands alone in being a powerful being naturally, not the result of some experiment or tech
I been watching Superman cartoons since I was 4. I watched pretty much all of em. Just like you I relate to him. This show is a fucking masterpiece and I can't wait to see more of it. Also glad "Jerry Smith" finally has a badass character to voice.
Never been a fan of Superman, could never find the god walking among us compelling, and I was always more enthralled with Batman, the man who could face gods through planning, skill and sheer will. But my adventures with super man really changed it, I love watching dorky Clark, trying to fit his life together, trying to balance the life he wants to live with the responsibility that comes with what he can do, and hell its all just really fun.
I like this. And though i may be the minority. I also like Snyder's superman. I didn't mind at all that superman's values were challenged and that he had to kill. I also loved that snyder's superman actually had believable action that felt like the shows i grew up on. So few movies make their heroes feel powerful. Snyders superman did. And only in man of steel

The thing is dark Superman is over glazed by edgy fans. Man of Steel's universe fails but gets glazed by pretentious fans who think it's some ground breaking form of literature. Then we've got Injustice where 95% of the characters are written terribly out of character, but gets glazed for being compelling (atp, ppl have just turned distorted the definition of that word to mean edgy now).

This video is an on point review of this TV Series. I love this version of Superman and I'm looking forward for this kind of tone from James Gunn's Superman Legacy.
Honestly, the second episode, “Adventures of a Normal Man Part 2”, is basically one, big “Fuck you!” to Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel.” For one thing, they actually give an acceptable explanation for Superman’s red trunks, originating from his Earth upbringing, unlike Zack Snyder, who said he couldn’t come up with a “logical” explanation for the red trunks. On top of that, Superman is self aware of the mess made when fighting Livewire and ACTUALLY cleans up the city! He actually cares about the damage he causes, unlike in “Man of Steel”, where he completely annihilates both Smallville and Metropolis fighting Zod and his cronies and acts like he doesn’t even care about ANY of the aftermath at the end of the movie. Talk about the complete opposite! So far, this show is the COMPLETE antithesis of the Snyderverse Superman and I’m all for it! I’m definitely looking forward to what MAwSM has in store! This series is the version of Superman I’ve been waiting for!
I mean is the red trunks that necessary lol. Also in man of steel pretty sure zod is more of a threat than livewire. Also in bvs he did mention the casualties
I dunno whats weird, this, or writters thinking we even need an explanation for the red trunks. (Although I do find the idea of it being made by his mom in the cartoon pretty cute.)
@@tobsonasanya4765from a design standpoint, yes. The red is needed to break up the blue. If not the red trunks, you at least need a belt or something, something the comics learned when they too tried to get rid of the trunks
I like it so far. But I also really love Man of Steel as it’s probably my favorite Superhero movie in recent years. Given the crap with have had recently with Superhero movies, I sometimes go back to it and appreciate every detail in that movie.
I'll admit, what has been missing since the end of the DCAU era with Superman is that for all his power, he's just Klark Kent. A boy who grew up in a quiet small/farm town who wants to help people because he is simply a nice person. While he did have some character low points in the Animated series (namesake and justice league), he always pulled himself up to be an example of what people can be character wise.
I've been waiting for so long to reach an era where we could move AWAY from any of ZS's take on DC Comics. I've been sad as an old school Justice League fan since I just have to ignore all this product that isn't meant for me, and doesn't speak to what these characters mean to me.
This show and Superman & Lois really have captured how I feel about Superman and how to make stories with him that aren't just his powers, but his humanity.
I don't know anything about Livewire (or practically anyone in this show) but if she's usually blue then based on what happened she still might end up being blue, after that accident and she's obviously going to be further experimented on I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up blue by the next time we see her.
You've made a perfect read on Superman! I've grown tired of the "dark" and "gritty" superman, because that misses the ENTIRE point of his character! Sure, superman can have his dark moments, but those only hit hard BECAUSE he's such a peace loving, good hearted dude. This show, while taking a few creative liberties, still manages to be the most honest superman adaptation since that Superman and Lois show (which was also great)
Superman saying: "is it that hard to believe that some people just to help?" felt more like superman than any modern edgy writter could have done.

@@DemonicRemptionsuperman isnt perfect .this show is doing a great job
There's no one expecting Superman to be like Batman, that's a stupid assumption that you're making.
I am very hopeful for this new era of Superman...
"Maybe he's not a devil or Jesus character. Maybe he's just a guy trying to do the right thing."
@@Marvin-lu3hj Exactly. The point of Zacks take on Superman was to be the start of his journey to be that hero he will soon strive to be. But in the beginning of when answering the call to adventure. The trials he'll face will be great and to test his heart. With the mixture of Mythology and Joseph Cambells The Heroes Journey, made Kal-El and his fellow team feel like more then just heroes. But also mythological. In this world we live in, is broken and if such characters existed in our world. There will be those that may see them as Gods, Heroes and Monsters. Considering how powerful they are. But once they took their leaps of faith to help not only themselves, but the world and it's people. When the world sees their heroics done to save those that can't help themselves. That's when the trust part comes in and the flames of hope start to shine in the hearts of man. @@nelsonguerrero1952 ....Superman shouldn't be seen as a god by *anyone* , he's a superhero, someone who inspired us to be like him, to be good. Making him being seen as a god go against that, heavily, as that would put him in a place where no one can reach.
There are superheros who are also Mythological gods out there, but that is *NOT* who Superman is.
Everything you described as "never gotten before" was in the series Smallville
I’m glad we are moving past Synder’s Superman. It sucks that they wasted Henry Cavil, but with My Adventures with Superman and Superman and Lois it feels like Superman is back
CW Superman is good also
@@kicknowledgesmith8608 Pretty sure they mentioned that one by name.
@@OneTrueNobody lol yup my bad
CW Superman & Lois is amazing! “Superman is back!”???? He never left.
Snyder didn't waste Cavill, it was WB fault.
Have you noticed how he doesn’t really fight but often tries to help the villains?
With this Clark and Lois, it’s not a matter of will they won’t they, it’s a matter of WHEN? Because from these interactions, I’d say it definitely will.
The answer is in 4 episodes.
I've never been much of a superman fan before. I just haven't really engaged much with his stories outside of the justice league, but I'm really enjoying this so far. The anime style is working for me.
If you know matro-man, Omni-man, the boys, Goku, Saitama, vison, shazam you are definitely a superman fan.
Why would people think he's edgy?
@@Marvin-lu3hj Snyder films (still love 'em though)
This is one of my favorite shows on air right now. It feels so wholesome, and yet has good writing for characters so they aren't ideots. It feels believable in the way characters would act given these scenarios
I used to not really understand why people liked supes, but this show looked so fun I had to try it and now I understand.
Did you ever watch superman the animated show from the 90s?
@@garycannon4644A lot of the people who say they hate Superman use the 90s show as examples why 💀 because outside of the movies, that's the most known mainstream version. Not that the show is bad, but a lot of the complaints that he spends most of the show being slow to react and getting beat up. While it captures the character overall, that can be annoying to watch. That's why I always recommend the mainline comics to see him still be relatable, a symbol of hope and still know how to throw hands. He seems so slow and overly passive in the 90s show and spends most of the series on his back.
@@dixonb.tweenerlegs4225I think people would like superman from justice league action. its got that balance of old and new essence that i think could appeal to a lot of people?
This show is lowkey the spectacular spider-man of superman
It's the cutest Superman I've ever seen, I adore it, I think people are too fixated in having cool superheroes, but making Superman adorable and earnest is like the best choice I've seen in a long time, also Lois is super likeable and smart and Jimmy as a conspiracy theorist is pretty funny, really liking it.
This Superman feels like a geuine, bright-eyed, younger version of the Superman from Superman TAS.
TAS Clark Kent is older, wiser, and a bit more sassy but hes still kind
Thats the word you HAVE to have when you're writing Superman, Kind.
If Kind isnt one of the first words you use to describe him then its not Superman
Also just as a side note I kinda love his mother's character design.
I'll also suggest the show Superman & Lois! It's also a fantastic portrayal of Superman!
Never giving DC any attention? Why? Marvel never has been producing the best comicbook films, and I'm obviously talking about the MCU.
disney marvel is boring as shit. i feel sorry for you
Yes, we already had all that before
Im the 50s show, in the 90s show, and in Smallville
So this does what Transformers Animated did for Optimus, move from a gritty live action to a more optimistic viewpoint with younger incarnations
I didn't know Mist, Roughhouse, and Silver Banshee before this, but I really liked them in the show and the sibling relationship they seem to have. I really like villains that are villains but genuinely care about their friends/family.
Snyder: "you want a hopeful superman youre in a dream world
REAL superman fans: "good dreams lift us up and make us better people"
Agree that it's wonderfully optimistic.
Zach Snyder loves just never making the superheroes the way they should be. I really do like this show a lot for sure
I like both versions of superman, I grew up with Snyder’s version and it’s what introduced me to the character. But I also like my adventures with superman for the character designs, color pallet, and animation. Both strive to do their own thing with the character and I just really appreciate that.
The f u grow up with Snyder's ewww
"F people, you do you" the Snyderverse Kent's philosophy.
So happy to see a show like this on the air.
Snyder never understood.
Despite this series altering the backgrounds of it villains, I’m loving the show nonetheless. It reminds me of the 1990s Lois & Clark TV series.
It's ironic that Snyder's Superman explicitly talks about hope as a central theme, yet his portrayal feels nihilistically dark.
More like realistic

I hate that people think this is a new take on superman. No. This IS superman. The new take was the Snyder one, and it SUCKED. but it was so popular thta the mainstream adopted it ad the jesus figure, overpowered, emotionless bore of a character canon, onstead of the abnormality. I'm glad we're steering back into who he actually is and what he stands for ❤❤❤
people who say superman is boring and overpowered know nothing of superman.
superman is the best of humanity. he's that guy we look to when all hope is lost. not disrespect cavill but his superman was written too dark.
snyder's superman helps people because he has to. like he owes something to the world and does so out of duty.
this version of supes, and most other versions too, helps people because he WANTS to. he has this desire and need to use his powers to help as many as he can.
just came to say they address the third wheel thing pretty well.
I'm only watching to see if Guts and Casca can have a happy ending in this timeline.
I've loved that new motto so much more than the original; Regardless of how one frels about "The American Way", "Truth, Justice, and a better tomorrow" just feels more like what Superman stands for
In the other superman stories wr met a Superman who had all of the powers/ knew about krypton but this superman being inexperienced, we are discovering his story along with him.
It's incredible it's the first I've genuinely been interested in Superman as a solo hero and not a member of the Justice League
This show is "Lois And Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" in anime form with a modern punch and I'm HERE FOR IT!
Man, I'm just jazzed they didn't say _I don't know what to do with Jimmy, so let's just _*_shoot him in the head_*_ like edgelord goobers._ Also, everything else is rad.
Finally a superhero show that understands how obvious these peoples secret identities are
“More time to play around with Jimmy’s character.” I genuinely laughed out loud. The season’s only ten episodes. They’ve got NO time to play around.
You'd be surprised. With a show as fun as this there's always time to play around.
Plus nice casting brother Jack Quaid’s been my fav superhero genre
I've never really been a big fan of Superman, but I genuinely do like this show.
I’m happy that this show is popular 😊
They are talking about him like he turned superman into a different character when Snyder's superman was just sad in BvS ( wich is comic accurate btw)
i saw a quote the other day that, if you think about it, is pretty accurate.
I'm glad this show showed that Clark, despite being very powerful, could still be a relatable dork

MY ADVENTURES WITH SUPERMAN IS MY FAVREAT NEW DC SHOW
Honestly, the second episode, “Adventures of a Normal Man Part 2”, is basically one, big “Fuck you!” to Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel.” For one thing, they actually give an acceptable explanation for Superman’s red trunks, originating from his Earth upbringing, unlike Zack Snyder, who said he couldn’t come up with a “logical” explanation for the red trunks.

Jimmy is coming up
Why can’t anyone just leave Zack's take alone? Y’all just complain about Zack’s takes - enjoy your current content & future.
I don't see why people can't understand that people actually like Zack Snyder version of Superman.
I REALLY LOVE IT! It feels like superman! AND IT'S SO CUTE!!
Superman is back in town after like 15 yrs
I don't know anything about Livewire (or practically anyone in this show) but if she's usually blue then based on what happened she still might end up being blue, after that accident and she's obviously going to be further experimented on I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up blue by the next time we see her.
I recommend you Superman and Lois ❤🔥❤
You've made a perfect read on Superman! I've grown tired of the "dark" and "gritty" superman, because that misses the ENTIRE point of his character! Sure, superman can have his dark moments, but those only hit hard BECAUSE he's such a peace loving, good hearted dude.
