I wholeheartedly agree that the use of the lesser known villains is an awesome thing to do. I get goosebumps watching it.
It is a great way to help explore the the characters and not take shine away from the 3 leads. I love how using these lesser known villians gives Jimmy and Lois a chance to be a part of the teasm as well and to not just have Superman do everything in terms of the investigation!
Before this show, the only Superman villains I knew about Lex Luthor and General Zod.
It’s nice to see other characters I’ve never heard of before, or never knew whose rogues gallery they were a part of.

Another great reaction Monty and Nicki. You guys are killing it for real. As for this episode I definitely loved it too, and you hit the nail on the head they got the characterization of Clark perfectly. And the interactions between Clark and Lois are freaking adorable.

Thank you so much, this makes us so happy to hear! The most important thing about Superman has never been his powers, it has been his morals and how he swim through society with those morals and character! Over the years I learned to really love and appreciate that about the character because that is what makes him special.
@@TheMontyVerse Exactly like in the comics on a day when Jimmy follows him around after he "blew out" his super powers with that "Solar Flare" effect, and was as vulnerable as a human for a while. After Superman talks down an armed robber and gets him to surrender peacefully while the robber pointed his gun at Superman (not knowing it would work on Superman at that moment), Jimmy asks why he didn't just let the police handle it (maybe ending in someone dying) since he didn't have his powers.
"I don't do these things because I have powers.
I do them because they need to be done."
I'm starting to think this version of Superman is tech-based and his powers comes from nanomachines in his body getting powered by the sun.
The height difference between Superman and Lois is so big.
It will be the same in Superman legacy with David Corenswet (6'4) and Rachel Brosnahan (5'3).😂
I don't mind it! I think CLark being so tall helps add tot he bumbling, awkward persona.
I wonder if all the villains are tech based so that Brainiac can control them when he arrives.

Or maybe it’s so that when Brainiac comes over with similar Kryptonian technology, Clark already has some familiarity with how it works? Which means he won’t at too much of a disadvantage if the invasion finally happens.
Also kinda hypes up the Kryptonians as really bad threats because there aren’t even meta humans that can take on Superman. Nothing that humans have on their own is good enough. You have to use Kryptonian technology to beat Kryptonians; otherwise humanity is powerless against them. And that makes Task X’s distrust of Superman that much more reasonable, almost. Because the only reason these humans have been able to have all this destructive power is because of the Kryptonian technology, which makes Kryptonians at least partially responsible for everything else these villains will do in the future as it was their technology that gave those criminals power in the first place. They’re dangerous, and they made humans dangerous on a scale never before seen.
Although it makes you wonder why Kryptonians decided to design technology that increased the sound of their voice or their already superior super strength. Or need to conduct electricity. Or design a freeze ray, considering a lot of versions of Superman already have freezing breath. Or create fire when they have laser eyes that can get the job done more efficiently.
I'm making a WILD call, I'm not betting on Brainiac I'm betting on something to do with Apokolips.

Love this episode. I’m really enjoying the series so far. I’m not a big Super man fan, but I’m familiar with certain storylines and villains from the comics and other iterations, so it’s kind of a new experience for me too. I’m also enjoying the tone and humor with this show. Love your reactions guys, keep ‘em coming. Also hoping for teen titans, Not Go!, reactions in the future
I am loving this show. It really feels like a love letter to the legacy of Superman while also feeling the freedom to tell an updated take on the character. I love the Teen Titans, Dick Grayson is my favorite Comic Bookm Character so I would love to cover more content involving him!

Yes Lucas Grabeel played Conner Kent in smallville, but he also played a younger Lex Luthor if you even want to see him bald look it up, it’s weird.

I was scrolling through RUclips and i found episode 1 on adult swims channel, which led me to your channel! I agree, that this is a good fresh take so far. Im not the biggest Superman fan, i have absolutely zero knowledge on his lesser known rogues like livewire.. they could have been made up just for this series for all i know! 🤣 But its great to learn this in this way! I forgot this show was even out honestly, hopefully im not too far behind!

I do love this show. It's a fun wholesome retelling of the Superman saga that is fun and quirky. I hope it's a big success and eventually grows to include more of the DCU. I'd love to see their version of Batman

why does every blimp explode? Must be natural law.
Once the Hydrogen tanks get damaged, the blimp is extremely flamable and a single spark can make it explode. ec: Hindenburg. They use Helium in modern blimps wich is not as volatile.
