The subtle change in body language when Clark got pissed at him for insulting Lois was fantastic. It's like Clark got even bigger, and literally towered over him.
You know ya done goofed when Clark Kent, not Superman, puts his big boy pants on and towers over you. This is the aspect of Clark's character I wish so many writers would take more into account. At the end of the day, Superman is really just a mask, the real hero in all this is Clark Kent himself. He's an investigative journalist who researches and studies the people he interviews with good and thoroughly, and then, when you talk smack about his friends and family, he will come at you like a hurricane with or without the cape. This is one of the main reasons why Superman, not Batman, is my favorite hero.

@@FeliDJrah Very well said! I think this is what makes Superman so great because Clark is what makes Superman truly Super. The fact that Clark is the way he is.
A fun theory that people are claiming is that *Dr Ivo's assistant Alex might in fact be this universes Lex Luthor since his name could be short for 'Alexandar Luthor'* and he does have ginger/light brown hair that resembles Lex back in the Golden Age origin of him losing his hair. Even though tLex is confirmed not to appear in Season 1 of this show, it still could be a possibility we could see Lex in Season 2 and that Alex could take control over AMAZO Tech and shapes it into LexCorp, if he is in fact, Lex.
It'd make more sense to make him Alex Allston

@milkiassamuel780 one of the Parasites in the comics. The moniker has a couple of owners. I think Lois brirfly became one at some point.

Nevertheless Alex in this episode being Alex Allston does make sense since he was also Parasite

It's hard because we watch on Max and when the credits play they minimize it immediately and make it very diffeicult to watch. I will make sure to watch next episode!
Note: Ivo didn't create Red Tornado, that was Professor T.O Morrow. Ivo is mostly known for Amazo and the New 52 Shaggy Man.

I love the animation team and the writers for doing that! She is the same as her voice actress Alice Lee!
The reason the Clark Kent disguise works isnt just because of the glasses and demenor. It's mentioned above, but he normally slouches to cover up his height and bulk. In this series though, Clark is young and learning so he wouldn't do that. Plus its pretty clear he hasn't really had full access for very long.
Yes but all of that only works for so long with people you spend hours and hours with everyday. I do believe their is a psychological aspect as well.
@@TheMontyVerse especially as close as he and Lois are at this point. Something of note in series like STAS and even the animated films, Lois keeps her distance somewhat. I think there's a video on here that brings up why the disguise works and that there's more to it.
The thing I think works about Superman's secret identity is that nobody knows Superman HAS a secret identity. He doesn't wear a mask, or disguise his face. In the comics, he's known to the public as Kal-El, last son of Krypton. If you need him, he's just *there*. And it's not like he doesn't explicitly have a home. (Fortress of Solitude) So everybody just assumes that Superman IS his only identity.
Nobody realizes he's Clark because they don't think he's *anybody but* Superman. If you worked at a newspaper, and one of the reporters looked and sounded just like Brad Pitt, your go-to explanation probably wouldn't be "Man, I think Jeff might be Brad Pitt's secret identity." You'd just think "Man, Jeff looks so much like Brad Pitt. I think he could be a professional Brad Pitt impersonator."
Sure, there are moments where you start to think "Man, could it be?" but in the comics, there have also been tons of occasions where Clark used various means to have Clark and Superman publically be in the same place at once, whether it was holograms, or shapeshifters, or whatever. So the characters in that world also have to reconcile *that* evidence with their theory.
I really hope James Gunn is watching My Adventures With Superman because I trust James Gunn he does great movies but also this animated show is doing so much right with the character of Superman that it wouldn't hurt to take a few notes from this show Lol 😅 🙌🔥
This show is doing an amazing job at moderinizing Superman and his cast of characters so I hope that is something James Gunn is able to do, which I have full faith that he will!

My emotions!
Dr Ivo making this version of Parasite kind of matches up with his comic characterisation in the sense that it protects you from dying and Ivo hates dying... Plus he's a tech billionaire, literally making money off and screwing up his employees inventions. So, like, he's literally a parasite.
It's believed by some that Sam Lane appeared at t end of episode one next to Amanda Waller when (Deadstroke?) interagates Live Wire.
That would make so much sense for the other person in the room to be him and would bring the story full circle.

I never thought I enjoyed this new Superman show so much. New eps only make it better.
It's been so long since we had a Superman show and this one just absolutely knocks it out of the park!
Put a pin in, "Where we were moving next," because it's extremely important despite it sounding like a throwaway line. The only people who move their entire family often are army people who move location according to their assignment. Like a certain General Lane would have before he was promoted to general.
a lot of people online think that Alex is Alexander Luthor aka Lex but its to early.
It is a VERY interesting theory and I could totally see it if they were going for more of the golden age approach to Lex. However, I do agree that I would rather we wait.

This show is taking risks and I love that!
In Young Justice it was T.O. Morrow that made the Reds. Ivo is guy that made the Amazo android and the M.O.N.K.E. robots. I believe he reprogramed Red Torpedo, Red Inferno, and Red Volcano. and put a virus in Red Tornado. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
So Luz can't have a loving dad, even in this universe. Nice.

Not only was Ivo's made up of two different characters they also made him an evil Tony Stark. One other point, if Ivo was going to sell the Parasite Tech why did he call it Parasite? That is a terrible name for a product, too many negative meaningd.
Given it that this version of Dr Ivo is full of himself he probably thought the name sound cool along with the fact that it takes life energy from people like a parasite to its host
He doesn't seem to actually want to sell them, he just want to flex how powerful it is for threat
Yeah, he is very much a Tony Stark-esque character. I think the demonstration was less about sales and more about his lust and greed for power and show he can beat Superman

I am not a fan of the fact that Lois found out so quickly. It took her years to figure it out.
I like that this show is taking Lois' status as ace reporter seriously. It's been a big pet peeve of the Superman mythos that she's portrayed as a smart inquisitive person yet she's fooled for years by someone she spends a good time of her every day with.
I don't mind it. It is a different adaptation, one that focus a lot on CLark and Lois having feelings very early on so it would make sense that she would find out sooner. Especially given the fact that she is an ace reporter and extremely intelligent!
