I think it unfair that they make it seem that Camilla was a better match for Charles, due to her sophistication and intellectual interests. Diana had no chance to develop herself, being rushed to marry a Prince, and produce heirs all the while performing rigorous Royal duties, at just 19yo. Considering all, she did an amazing job, which I don't think many, in hindsight could dispute.

It's a lot more complicated than that, often you don't know if you're in love or if you're not, or maybe you feel you shouldn't be. But marrying someone when you're 'half in and half out' that's wrong, and sadly, that was what probably led to Diana's death.

My observation is that, it is not Prince Charles who did not give up Camilla but it is the other way around. Why? previous revelations by the authorized biographers, reporters, it says that on the night of the wedding day of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Camilla was sleeping just around the palace, what does it mean? Why is it that Edward VIII was forced to abdicate for loving and marrying a divorcee and yet Charles who not only married a divorcee, but committed numerous acts of adultery, is considered to reign as king? He should not be considered.
At the time, & maybe still, the royal (king, queen; prince/ess-heir to the throne) can be whatever; the intended spouse, regardless of lineage must be a presumed "pure"/virgin.
The abdication was due to two matters. 1. Edward's desire to marry a twice divorced woman. At that time, divorce was a scandal and divorcees were not acceptable in society. 2. Edward had plenty of affairs with married women. 3. More importantly Edward and Wallis had strong links with the Nazis. This was proved after the abdication when they went to Germany and were fraternising with the top Nazi officials. There are photos showing them giving the Nazi salute and plenty of photos of them with Hitler. They were eventually sent to the Bahamas, with Edward as Governor to get them away from Europe. As to Charles becoming king - after Diana died the Queen said in her speech after Diana died that things would have to change. I've lost both parents in their early 80s. it was horrible. But I've learned the pain does fade with time. I had decades worth of memories and those fade too. Diana died nearly a quarter century ago. There is only so much William and Harry can remember of their mother. The world has thousands of children who lost their mother at an early age, but under far less supportive circumstances. I'm sure it was dreadful for the boys but not to the extent that it must ruin all the rest of their lives.

The kids are now approaching 40 and William knows that she was mentally ill and has forgiven much of what she did to him. He named his daughter after his father. He claims that his father has NEVER embarrassed him, but his mother did so, and often. His favored charity is mental health. He knows how much damage a mentally defective parent can do to a child. She FORCED William to meet her lovers, shake hands, and make small talk. HOW MANY TEENAGE BOYS want to be forced to meet their mother's lovers WHILE she is STILL MARRIED to his father? (If you think this is common, you are nuts.) Charles NEVER did such a thing! There were no women (other than staff) at his homes while the boys were there. He did NOT want them to be uncomfortable in their own home. Diana had no such qualms. Charles taught them to fish, hunt, ride, and play polo. He taught them gardening, and skiing, and to play ball. He let them ride their scramblers, tromp in the woods with the dogs, get dirty, be noisy, and by boys, all away from the intrusion of cameras. Diana taught them to pose for the paparazzi, to lie to the paparazzi (to make Diana look good) and to seek revenge for personal slights. Is it any wonder they preferred to live with Charles? Living with Diana was a nightmare! She would SCREAM at them and denigrate them and demanded that they HATE CHARLES as she hated Charles, and to HATE the Queen, and Prince Philip, and Aunt Anne, and Tiggy as SHE hated them. Harry Hewitt took her screaming demands to heart. William rejected her insane screaming and stuck with his solid Royal family members.
Diana was only a mother when a camera was clicking. Without cameras she left the kids with the nannies. That is why Charles had to raise the kids. Diana was "too nervous" to take care of both Charles' son (William) and James Hewitt's puke kid (crazy Harry). She forced Charles to take them to his homes and care for them. WILLIAM KNOWS which parent was the proper parent was and which parent was CRAZY.
I can't imagine what it would have been like to marry a man who kept a mistress from before your wedding and all the way through the marriage. Charles was cold and cruel to Diana. She wanted love and a real husband. He should be passed over for William and Kate.

Do you know that Diana threw her stepmother out of the family home as soon as her father died and then stole her suitcases and put her clothes in bin bags? The royal family had nothing to do with Diana's funeral. The original announcement was that she would be buried privately by her family. Blair stepped in and laid on a semi-state funeral.

That is why, when doctors look at results, and are not satisfied, will order a second test. And, sometimes oversee (watch) each step be performed. This is more common than you know. The results reported on Henri Paul would render a person not able to walk. The truth is that there is always a "drunk" dying on the wards, so getting a "particular" test was easy. Clearly, the "blood sample" was NOT from Henri Paul. Personally, I am so sorry about his parents. They are both gone now, but they were proud of their son. Assume NOTHING is "true" without taking it apart and questioning everything. And always remember that her primary motivation was getting photos of herself with Dodi, published, to make Hasnat jealous. In May (3 months prior) she and her half-sister (Jemima Khan) went to Pakistan to urge Hasnat's family to tell Hasnat to marry her. WHY was she so desperate? Her death was no accident. She was murdered. I could not stand her, but she certainly was murdered and that is wrong.

Under the watch of the official running the inquest they took blood samples from Henri Paul's family. They took the DNA from the samples and DNA from family members of Henri Paul. The process was followed all the way through and the samples from Henri Paul were a match with those of his family members. Also how did Jemima Khan turn out to be Diana's half sister?

I’m Irish, so have an Irish viewpoint. My Mum thought Diana too young and modern for Charles. How right she was. I warmed to Diana. She appeared to care for those less well off or with health problems. I think she was correct to come out and speak the truth. In Ireland everything was brushed under the carpet until recently. Truth is what we all need. I don’t believe in Monarchies. The French got rid of theirs and the elite in their church as well. Though I’m a pacifist so think the way they did it was barbaric. Diana said she went into marriage with the expectation of loving and being loved. I also have heard that no autopsy was carried out in England on Diana’s body and saw CCTV of Henri Paul going on his hunkers to tie a shoelace with a dexterity no drunken man would have. Hello Helene .. I too am Irish and like you have a very Irish view of the monarchy. It was no friend to the Irish - we just wouldn't do as we were told. Obstinate and contrary at every opportunity. That said, we would continue to know a good deal about the monarchy and it's going on - which are both varied and numerous and often unsavoury. I think the new breed of the tribe are far less the snobs and present a more real person image to the world - and that's a good thing. It is unfortunate that Lady Diana did not live through this new period of enlightenment as it is far more aligned with who she was and how able she was in engaging the common folks. Her sincerity and kindness in addition to her inate sense of decency endeared her to everyone - even the Irish. Maybe most especially the Irish. Diana was a beautiful person inside and out. She was mistreated badly by the royal family in general and by Charles in particular. It will be a travesty to see this bastard and his horrible mistress elevated as King and Queen of England. The honorable thing to do would be to pass on the crown to William.

Diana then RETURNED THE BOYS HOME EARLY so she would be free to go to the celebrity funeral of Gianni Versace, in Milan. Diana was wreaking her infamous "not speaking" revenge on Gianni Versace (and Elton John) when Versace died. Diana was FORCED to behave civilly with Elton John because the cameras were rolling in the Milan Cathedral. (Just like Diana used to pretend to be a good mother ONLY when the cameras were rolling.) Diana had no role models and came from a miserable existence. Charles was the "loving" parent. That is why William loves Charles today. I think it unfair that they make it seem that Camilla was a better match for Charles, due to her sophistication and intellectual interests. Diana had no chance to develop herself, being rushed to marry a Prince, and produce heirs all the while performing rigorous Royal duties, at just 19yo. Considering all, she did an amazing job, which I don't think many, in hindsight could dispute.

The abdication was due to two matters. 1. Edward's desire to marry a twice divorced woman. At that time, divorce was a scandal and divorcees were not acceptable in society. 2. Edward had plenty of affairs with married women. 3. More importantly Edward and Wallis had strong links with the Nazis. This was proved after the abdication when they went to Germany and were fraternising with the top Nazi officials. There are photos showing them giving the Nazi salute and plenty of photos of them with Hitler. They were eventually sent to the Bahamas, with Edward as Governor to get them away from Europe. As to Charles becoming king - after Diana died the Queen said in her speech after Diana died that things would have to change. Having three divorced children meant that the rule in relation to divorce and the monarchy was proven to be out of date, as was the rule regarding the heir to the throne having to marry a virgin.

I was amazed at how composed and dignified William and Harry were after Diana’s death. They got no grief counseling after their mother died. They both still have huge holes in their hearts.💕 We never stop loving people we have lost.

I've lost both parents in their early 80s. it was horrible. But I've learned the pain does fade with time. I had decades worth of memories and those fade too. Diana died nearly a quarter century ago. There is only so much William and Harry can remember of their mother. The world has thousands of children who lost their mother at an early age, but under far less supportive circumstances. I'm sure it was dreadful for the boys but not to the extent that it must ruin all the rest of their lives.
Did you miss the interchange between harry and the public when they were receiving flowers thanking people. Charles extended his hand and said Charles introducing himself then Harry stuck out his hand and said WILLIAM and WILLIAM just gave a wry smile and kept going. Her last day on earth, nobody knew where she was. She called the London paps, to call their cohorts in Paris and tell them where she was and when she would be leaving. Instead of merely walking to the waiting car, Diana swanned around the lobby, making sure that everyone could see her. She caused her own death by her own big mouth. She was insufferable and was playing a dangerous game. She thought she was SO POWERFUL that no one could touch her. She was wrong.

So, the paparazzi showed up and we will forever have pictures of Diana and the boys having a WONDEFUL time and Diana gets credit for doing what NO OTHER ROYAL MOTHER HAD EVER DONE! (That of giving her children "normal" activities, so they will have wider experiences and be "superior" Royal children, much better than those of other "Royals" who did not have Diana's exceptional sensibilities and caring nature.)
Except it was ALL LIES!!! Just more Diana LIES! William HATED those lies that still bother him. He is a decent soul and LYING is the root of human frailty. (Those who lie will also cheat and steal; then, society is lost.) THAT is why LYING is abhorrent to ALL normal people. People like Harry enjoy lying; he is like Diana that way.
(1) Diana DID NOT return the favor to Anne and take Peter and Zara. (2) Diana did NOT give Anne credit for first taking the children to Thorpe Park. (3) Diana did NOT allow her children to tell the truth and just say "yes" when asked if they had been there before.
Diana was a liar all her life. People who are mentally ill, and have NO conscience or sense of decency, lie with gusto. They ONLY see life from their own interests. How the lies affect others is of no concern to them. Diana DID NOT CARE that lies upset William. Her level of care NEVER extended to her children.
CASE IN POINT: Charles' nanny (Tiggy Legge-Bourke) was from old family friends of the Royals. She is STILL friends with the boys. But, Diana wanted her FIRED no matter how much work she did, or how good she was with the boys.
Diana WROTE that Charles was going to KILL HER so he could marry Tiggy! Diana wrote that Camilla was only kept around to divert the public; that Charles really was in love with Tiggy. She even started the SICK rumour that Tiggy had an abortion and the child was Charles'. That was devastating and the Queen was FURIOUS that Diana would do such a thing and she demanded a divorce immediately. The Legge-Bourke's were old family friends and the notion that the wife of Charles would create a story so destructive and just plain mean, was not acceptable. They HAD to stop Diana and her vile mouth and her disgusting imagination.
"Empathy is just "pulling a sad face." LYING means there is NO character and the person can NEVER be trusted. That matters; "empathy" is just more bad acting. Why not focus on what mattes and stop trying to find an excuse to cater to a bad actor?
This whole story gives me the dry boak. He was a adulterer from the day they married and is not fit to sit on the throne.

The results reported on Henri Paul would render a person not able to walk. The truth is that there is always a "drunk" dying on the wards, so getting a "particular" test was easy. Clearly, the "blood sample" was NOT from Henri Paul.

Under the watch of the official running the inquest they took blood samples from Henri Paul's family. They took the DNA from the samples and DNA from family members of Henri Paul. The process was followed all the way through and the samples from Henri Paul were a match with those of his family members.

I’m Irish, so have an Irish viewpoint. My Mum thought Diana too young and modern for Charles. How right she was. I warmed to Diana. She appeared to care for those less well off or with health problems. I think she was correct to come out and speak the truth. In Ireland

Hello Helene .. I too am Irish and like you have a very Irish view of the monarchy. It was no friend to the Irish - we just wouldn't do as we were told. Obstinate and contrary at every opportunity. That said, we would continue to know a good deal about the monarchy and it's going on - which are both varied and numerous and often unsavoury. I think the new breed of the tribe are far less the snobs and present a more real person image to the world - and that's a good thing. It is unfortunate that Lady Diana did not live through this new period of enlightenment as it is far more aligned with who she was and how able she was in engaging the common folks. Her sincerity and kindness in addition to her inate sense of decency endeared her to everyone - even the Irish. Maybe most especially the Irish. Diana was a beautiful person inside and out. She was mistreated badly by the royal family in general and by Charles in particular. It will be a travesty to see this bastard and his horrible mistress elevated as King and Queen of England. The honorable thing to do would be to pass on the crown to William.

Anything for camera time.) She was ALSO "not speaking" to Elton John but she had to "make up" with him since the cameras were on them in the Milan Cathedral.

Was very early in environmental issues. He will be a wonderful King, and everyone wins! William's kids get more privacy, the Monarchy is in excellent hands for many, many years to come. I wish you and others would make the effort to learn more. I was very pleasantly surprised. But i like people, and i take the time to listen and learn... too many prefer schadenfreude.

A crown isn't necessary for a head of state to be a monarch (rule by one)
A president is in reality a monarch and some presidents have executive powers that constitutional monarchs do not have.
