Chooch, you hit the nail on the head when you said euc are becoming more performance machines rather than the commuter it began as. I actually prefer the commuter type, lighter, cleaner lines, more luggage style as opposed to a half motorcycle, less visible places for dust/dirt to adhere to when you bring your euc into someone’s clean establishment causing a little discomfort. Two distinct euc’s styles. I only wish the mfgrs would update the technology of the commuters like bms, self heal road tires, ip rating, and perhaps a little suspension for less knee pain. I loved seeing you ride in the suit and tie video, that’s my purpose riding to arrive some place dressed (plus helmet/gloves) as opposed to an adventure ride where armor is def needed.
Weight is the same as s19. I don't get it at all
I think the actual weight of the s19 is around 2kg more and if you look at the specs of less than 400Wh of battery and a motor that is only 500W stronger...so that could actually makes sense.
To be fair the s19 is pretty light for an 18inch wheel....the Begode Master weighs around 38kg and even 16 inch wheels can weigh like 40kg...the Patton for example or the commander mini too
16S = 17.5kg
S16 = S19 = S22 = 33+ kg, the same thickness. It's not lightweight or compact, it's heavy and thick. Maybe well-designed.
This is looking to be the perfect cruiser wheel in 2023 for me. I mainly use an 18XL but want to try something with suspension, wouldn’t hurt to try this out - looking forward to October
@abdillin having owned the S16 Pro for a month now, it’s a very different wheel from the 18XL. Heavier, faster, and less range. If you want range and convenience, stick to the 18XL. If power and a more plush tire/ride is more important, the S16 pro works. Just know your range will be 20km less on average.
The overlooked detail of this is its height. I'm short so the fact that the top of the S16 still sits under the knee caps is a huge deal. A refreshing and welcomed throwback to the calf-nudges type of chill riding I liked on my T3.
Yes, much agreed, Chooch. I'm a new rider and got the V11 as my first wheel but was not enough wheel to handle my weight. I'm 240 lbs dude without gears on, and the first 100 miles of me training on the wheel, I was riding the beeps. The air struts couldn't handle my body size and kept buttoming out. Tor down the wheel, and I was not impressed by how fragile the wheel is. The v11 had the build quality when it came to the material choice, but it's not built for big dudes. Now I'm going for the EX30. However, I wish the ex30 is a reliable wheel. It's just sucks how much begode build quality is not up to standards 😕
Can we get an update on this possibly?
Looking at the picture, a couple of concerns jump out at me for a commuter. There appear to be a lot of places that water could enter the system. Commuters NEED to have a high IPX rating. A lesser concern, but still one to consider, is that there appears to be very little clearance between the tire and the mudguard so finding a non-official replacement tire could be difficult.
This weighs almost exactly what an EXN weighs, which I find to be too heavy for a lot of the practical errand runs you’re talking about. I really think a city commuter should be 50 lbs or less, not more than 70. If the idea is to be able to carry it up stairs, put it in a shopping cart, etc., this is outside that window. If the s18 is $2,000, hard to imagine this won’t be more than that. S18 weighs 48 pounds.
Look for the Begode Falcon but otherwise a suspension wheel under 70lbs is pretty hard to make of you also want power.
The falcon will weigh around 50lbs but with a 14-15 inch tire and only 1000W motor wise so yea....you know what mean
Love the style, 16" wheel and suspension would be great for me at 138 pounds to cruise this mountains in Puerto Rico and enjoy the ride and the views.
How does this weigh more than the S18 with near identical specs? More importantly why hasn't the price come way down on S18?
Im noticing it has a chunky tyre , so I wonder what the outer edge diameter is , if its similar to the s18 it makes sence, just wish there was a removable battery pack to post on while i fly with the wheel
I am a ks16s user for commuting the last 3 years. Have it with me in my Van all ways. The loading and unloading of the 17kg euc is already mutch. So the 33kg of this is already a no go. Not all around commuter more an allterain fun euc. I like the idea of comfortable riding with suspension (less shocks) but need to ceap the sub 20kg for lifting purposes. The 16s with 35km/h max speed is some time insufficient, 50km/h is mandatory for every day use.
What I see that no one has mentioned, is it spears that the sliders are now a closed system? Am I wrong? It appears they coded them off on the bottom to keep the bearing from dirt entering. If that’s the case this is how the s22 and s19 should’ve been built.
That’s likely where the extra weight is (to enclose the roller system), and yet people still complain 🤷♂️
I ride Kingsong 16s , does anyone have an issue with this wheel whereby the tire inner tube valve often sticks out scratching the left outer shell of the wheel, making a banging noise?
@yourleftnut1 fixed that problem now, just use a file to remove a bit of protubing plastic inside the cover, no rubbing of tire pump tube head against the cover now
I would like to see preview on this plz
I love how well built and square it looks, this is much more pratical in my opinion compared to some crazy angled design and/or build-in power pads on other euc's
Really nice wheel. Not too heavy.
Let's not forget it's not long agoo that 2800 watt was regarded as powerful.
I regard my 2200 watt s18 as strong. So this is much better.
So true. My 16x is still strong, so I am assuming this would be a bit better, but less range
Hey Can u recommend me which one to buy: king song s16 or s18 ?
The S18 is lighter I think. My everyday wheel.
Is this released yet?
They have 16x bull out also gold.they have 3 kinds coming out
T4 or New S16?? What is the best?
Cosa hai scelto ?
“Bigger riders” is my question: what weight is “bigger”? Over 160?190?210? Bigger? Im about 200, 16x -V12ht, mten4, S22(due to your videos, thank you) are my babies.. is this just a 16x with suspension?
Not bent or triggered about the weight, curiosity of where I stand vs others on the wheels? I killed an Mten 3 in a small ditch the moment I leaned to go up.
Most of those EUCs are built in Asia, where the average male height is between 5'5 to 5'8 and weighs between 150 lbs to 170 lbs. Americans average height is 5'10 to 6'2 and weighing between 190 lbs to 220 lbs. So if you are 5'10 and about 190 lbs, you are a big dude for this wheel.
He means fat Americans who hover at its top weight limit.
Is this wheel waterproof?
S16 vs begode t4
...who wins?
How fastbthey go and how for can it go?
It's nice the shock doesn't have that reservoir sticking out the back that the s22 did thing was just asking to be busted off.
The videos of the kill switch I've seen is silly though makes it look like it's motion activated by just reaching under the front lip right where I grab when I'm power braking. I'm definitely hoping the inmotion adventure will give the s22 a run for it's money
33 kilos?!? This thing is as heavy as S19…. I look at my s18 and don’t want to sell it…
Lo hai venduto s18?
What’s better, S16 or S18 for 175lb rider mainly trail riding with small jumps?
S18.lighter
Are th st out yet?I wanna order plz let me know
The unicycle companies need to focus on wheel quality, reinforced btry boxes, electronic components need to be durable, easy maintenance and disassembly for tire changes, swap rims...When you have to swap out recoil systems because the stock system is inadequate. You begin to question if the amount of money you are investing is worth the headache....
So far, the S16 is very strong and durable, the battery and electronic components are all upgraded, the S16 has many designs of the S19 and S22, not just the appearance. The tires are also easy to replace.
@@TOPFEEL_ The time will tell if it's strong and durable, so many problems can occur to all brands
lol,It's really solid and weighs even more than the S19.@@ericleroux3452
That's exactly what I'm looking for
I think i would’ve like the sides of the s19 on this s16 as long as there’s some movability of the “designie” parts, but chooch is right about the flat sides being much better. This side design should’ve been on the s19 which has better performance numbers.
What about for off road use?
Maybe? I would think you cant go too fast though when it doesnt have a front toe wedge to keep your foot on the pedals if you jump it.
I wish this was available before I bought the Inmotion V8s last year...providing the price is relatively similar 😒
Youre kidding me. I bought v8s at 800$ stop lying bruh
Bout to buy my first EUC....leaning towards Begode T4 or the Extreme....I weigh 270,6'1", lean, but big person....would this S16 handle me?
GET THE EXTREME, the T4 has a history of problems. The extreme should be Way better for your weight too
Yep get the extreme. Avoid kingsong, they have no clue. Begode has come a long ways last year
Well the comments here aged well
@@Impecable.. Here's the thing, there have been multiple people having issues with this wheel already, not just Chooch. He may just be right, the wheel was the issue. In the new video by ride one, the guys from Canada, while they enjoyed the wheel, they pointed out several issues and even one very crucial one where they opened up the wheel to inspect it and saw those silver pieces I believe the stator metal pieces misaligned. Smh.
Just get a bigger wheel, the Extreme is proving to be a problem wheel as well
if it was 14 in itd be perfect
but since its 16 in like all the others, its just a weaker and cheaper one of those
Haha, then we recommend Kingsong to make 14-inch suspension wheels.@@Blox117
Deeper review please... 😊❤
75 Km range maybee with slow riding and light rider.
@@greenwave819 16X with the same batery maybe 1 or 2 cells more you can do more than 120km and both re 84v a.k.a. not a toaster
over 60 lbs is not convenient, i dont understand how this wheel is only 4 lbs lighter than an s22 when its battery is so much smaller.
Its gotta be all that extra metal they have upfront for the bad trolly design. Why did they keep it??
advanger is 3299 not 2500
33kg isn't light unless you weight 100kg.
... Chooch respect man for your content, great inspiration. i dont like it, suspension wheel above 30kg and less than 100km is not evolution, i stick with my v11,
The EUC market is becoming like Apple vs Samsung
I getting s29
perfect size does not matter. perfect weight of 20kg would be much more desirable. I wonder, how much lighter it would be if KS just put a wheel from 16S into S16, not the new motor and that thick monster of a tire
And s19
Looks like a nightmare to maintain or repair if you drop.... display isnt protected at all.
It looks good but the Begode T4/T4pro has similar or even better specs and is super easy to service where even a technical super noob could change the Top part or even the front light.
It doesn't looks that flashy like the Kingsong but i take ease of use and practicality over looks every day of the week
Oh and they say that the S16Pro can go up to 60kp/h what i can not believe tbh.
There is no other wheel on the market with 84V that is able to reach that the S19 has 100V and a more powerful motor and also is just able to reach 60? Hard to believe
Fast that thing go up to 50mile per hr
No, the specs show 50 kilometers, not mph. That comes out to about 31 mph. Still respectable though. I want one.
Main problem is the horrible S22 suspension system. Lifespan and need of maintenance is a bad joke...
Yep, they didn't just double down on that trash, they actually tripled down. My s22 sits in parts more than I ride it. What's supposed to be the best part of their wheels is the worse part, what a clown show
@@dirt.surferYeah! I'm with u on this. I have an S22 thats been sitting around for 6 months + because it had issues with the battery. Damn expensive paperweight.
@Phiqtional it's nonstop repairs and costs. Pisses me off when these youtubers claim there good for somone new to the hobbie...... is it? Who wants broken shit lol
Only think I’m noticing is it looks like the sliders on are a closed system which won’t allow dirt in
U mean bull 16x
It doesn’t make sense. Too heavy and too slow.
Not everyone wants to rip at high speeds man. I love this wheel. I love cruising but still having comfort and a little bit of speed. It’s absolutely perfect. Different wheels for different people man. I would recommend this wheel to beginners who want the whole package but not breaking the bank at 2000$. It’s the wheel for you. Kingsong nailed it with this wheel !
That battery is wayyy too low, this isn't going to be that competitive at all
S16 may just want to enter the 16-inch tire family. The extended electromagnetic block will improve battery utilization efficiency. The battery is replaced from 18650 to 21700. Kingsong replaced 18650 with 21700 a long time ago.
It look likes inMotions newest lol
lol calling a 33kg wheel a commuter.
Helooo
84V IN 2023? this is bad idea
It's enough if you don't go above 50km/h and not super heavy
@@ericleroux3452 but this is 33 kg ! I dont know how little people can loading this wheel )
@@devili190 The suspension must weigh at least 5 Kg or more. Any suspension wheel is going to be over 30 Kg
V14 or bust
You'll almost be able to get 2 of these for the price of the V14.
But I agree.
With such a big gimmick for the Adventure, it's hard to imagine its price.@@CopperSteed
@@TOPFEEL_ kind of a moot point. V14 & S16 are not in the same class with these performance specs. V14 is for thrill seekers. S16 is for their teenage children.
When is your InMotion Adventure 1st teaser reaction video will come out? That's the one I'm eagerly to see and buy
