I'm guessing your not married! That is some collection. Was 888 obsessed 25 yrs ago. Got a 906, went to Budapest & back in a week. 800 miles on day 1 - survived - bike was pretty comfortable at steady 80-90. Cannot imagine that on the 888, so was right decision I guess. Rode a friends MHR in France many years ago. Lovely but makes 888 seem like a sofa. He toured Europe 2 up for years on it back in the day. Ex sidecar racer....say no more. Like the sound of the updated z650 project - good luck with the paperwork😊

Yes the old Bevelhead 900SS and MHR make modern bikes feel like sofas. The updated Z650 is over 40 years old which makes the paperwork a lot easier to deal with... and no not married lol.

A bit naughty but you could take photos of a friends z of a similar year with the close up pics of your frame and engine no

    what about the 1170?

Ah I wondered if anyone would notice the 1170 was missed. Trying to get the engine oil tight has been so frustrating, I want to forget about it for the time being..

@@Merch131ho it’s my favourite of your bikes, along with the MK2. It’s never simple building custom bike like those, sometimes good to put it to one side for a while.

Why not take the battery apart and rebuild it. It will consist of an array of 18650 cells, just replace them.

The battery died awhile ago, I binned it, didn't know they could be opened up and repaired.

@@Merch131ho Actually, just make your own battery pack. There's tons of how to's on RUclips on putting cells together. It's not at all complicated.
