Cool comparison. I’ve been loving the game mode on my G4. AMD Freesync being displayed on the dashboard is very satisfying. Lots of 120hz tittles on the series X that are just buttery smooth.
I am very, very happy with my LG G4 as it supports 144hz VRR, G-Sync everything runs so smooth and look gorgeous. Almost as if the picture is popping out of the TV.
Game motion plus is just a great feature and the crazy thing is Samsung has had this for years now and no other TV maker has bothered to do anything like it which is a real big oversight IMO instead of copying gamebar features like on screen cross hairs focus on this kind of thing LG needs this Sony needs this it would make their game modes much better. My settings for GMP are 30 FPS games = Judder 10 Blur 0. 60 FPS games = Judder 0 Blur 10.
@@N-e.o I think you are mistaken there is nothing quite like this that keeps the input latency down. The other motion interpolation options introduce a ton of latency making games unplayable when using it, this one Samsung has keeps games very playable.

In other words, when you use that color clipping test pattern from 700 to 4000, do you see all the colors closely or even perfectly clipping at the same 1000 or 4000 point?
I still feel the s90d is the better for gaming between the s95d and s90d. The one connect is a limiting factor if you’re going to be using your PC to game and I play in a completely dark room so I don’t want the anti glare coating.
The One connect box is either helpful or a con based off your current setup. if you have the wires in the wall then the one connect box becomes a problem. The idea of the one connect box is smart and allows for a TV to be repaired easily. For example, if your HDMI ports are not working right, you dont have to take your tv off the wall or off the stand, you can simply have the one connect box replaced.

S95D doesn't have a black level (as LG G4 has) adjustment for correcting poor black levels in games and many HDR games. If it want a great looking picture, that's part of the puzzle.
Blacks look very black to me. I use the proper tools on my PC to correct any black issues from games - such as HDR configurations within the game or reshade.
@@ehenningsen Lots of people are not connected to a PC. And then there is the other issue of ambient light (not even direct light) lifting black levels. On console, there is no option on Samsung TVs to adjust black levels properly. It's just the way it is. Plus the colour red and green is pushed in their tuning of game mode and needs to be professionally corrected for accuracy. You will see this in the review from Vincent HDTV test. No TV is perfect. I really loved my S95C for gaming. But it's certainly not as accurate with colours as the G4 in most cases. It does have better colour luminance than the G4 for bright colours and effects though. So depends what games you like and care about.
@exhibitD79 fair enough. Would be a nice feature for the console gamers. I haven't been on a console since early on the PS4 era, so I am a bit behind on what they offer. For PC, it's been very nice having the level of control that we have. Not just for ganes, but also for movies and streaming.
After watching a lot of comparison video on RUclips 😂 I was almost convinced in buying the s95d but ended up buying the LG G4 65 inch after doing the side by side comparison in the store. For me it was the inky black and better image clarity. Although the s95d was better than the G4 the matte finish gave me nightmares of owning the LED tv.
Could you please do a video with this game for the A95L!?. Or at least lmk what your suggested settings would be for it!? For the lowest input lag & picture quality. Also I feel like performance mode is better on this game on consoles to have better fps.. though you loose out on picture quality 😅

@@R0B0T037 If you have that TV already. Enjoy it. It's not like you are doing to swap it in favour of the S94D or the G4. The Sony also has way more accurate colours out of the box compared to Samsung. Which without calibration, is pushing green and red in game mode. Overall if you like accuracy (which you must since you got a Sony) then Sony and LG are better options. If you want the least input lag. Sony is the worst of the three.

No post processing should ever be used in gaming. 16ms is an enormous latency penalty. What’s the point of 60FPS+ if we throw away any latency benefits?
Honestly, as an owner and a skeptic, for single player games it feels fine. I’m very sensitive to input lag so I didn’t bother trying the feature for a few weeks but once I did it’s a literal game changer!

Having a Sony makes me sad that there isn't anything there for interpolation. Having only 2 hdmi 2.1 ports is one thing, but they could have added some smoothing options for 30/60 fps gaming.
Interested to see your findings Fomo. I have the S90C and G4 and game on both. I haven't tested input lag, but picture quality and color vibrancy they seem extremely comparable when gaming on series X.
You should include that s95d has 40gb ports just like the s95c did. That means dsc applies on PC, which means black screens when alt tabbing out of games. Id also love to see a reliability review after 12 months on each, guarantee you the samsung will shit the bed at least once
Mainly gaming on PC, need shootout between Samsung monitor and tv, I'm at an impasse, Samsung 42 inch QN42S90D, 2024 Model/27-Inch Odyssey G6 (G60SD) Series OLED Gaming Monitor with QHD 360Hz
For me, it's the 43inch qn90d because of because of hdmi arc and watching streaming videos. Ghosting is not very noticeable for me and 144 hz is good enough as even a 4090 can't utilize 240 hz in a lot of new games. I also like the large screen as I don't need to do a multi monitor setup for work. But if you just game using pc and don't us a dolby atmos soundbar, youbwould be better served by the g60sd. There is only slight blooming and it doesn't bother me as much as the aggressive ABL of my LG C3.
Bro do not get a G65b....i got it and was dissapointed....only 30 dimming zones,ghosting at 60 fps,30 fps games look even worse....do not get it. I got a 42 inch LG C3 on sale ,its the best tv ive ever had ,and im really happy with it,first time experiencing OLED ,Its a game changer. Do not get G65b,its rubbish and a headache to get right.
To be honest I really care about the best VRR modes I play a lot of call of duty on my ps5 LG GX and think the image is really dark in VRR mode I am thinking about upgrading but don’t know if it’s worth the money
it depends on brightness settings. oled tv should last at least 4 or 5 years if you take care of it and I owned many of them. i keeping my new s93d at 28 and on PC mode 32. Thats plenty for everyday use.
How u doing FOMO.. alot of your videos led me from going from Sony to Samsung..and game motion plus really is an industry changer. Games like black myth, rdr2, lotr shadow of war etc.. these 3rd person fighting games.. on a ps5... and a new to me 85 QN90B.... I found judder at 4 and blur 0 is perfect. 10 judder of course gives the most 120fps... look but quick pans etc reveal artifacts that are unbearable to me... so 0 blur judder 4.... try it next time u game....
As a S95D owner and Series X player I can confirm that for 30/60 hz games, game motion plus is a must have feature for me now. I’ve even started playing some games in 30hz with ray tracing and better graphics and the Samsung makes it look like 60hz. The latency is negligible to me. I still play competitive games like COD at VRR 120 but for singed player games you kind of get the best of both worlds, better graphics and smoother gameplay.

This isnt really a interesting comparasion since all oleds basically have the same motion resolution and input lag in game mode is very similar between them. Its far more interesting to compare them in HDR performance and how they tonemap higher nit content in games.
I like the testing regime but I think Black Myth Wukong may be one of the worst games to review a TV for gaming performance with, on console it doesn't hit 60fps solid, in its performance mode it uses frame generation making input lag measurements worthless. Due to frame gen artifacts, FSR upscaling, TAA and Unreal Engine 5 processing BMW actually has some of the worst image quality in a game ever despite the advanced textures and shader effects on screen. If you wonder what I mean look at the leaves falling and the trailing artifacts behind them, these are artifacts from upscaling blending data from multiple frames. Running outside performance mode the game has constant judder as well.
And if I go out and get a s95D in 6 months you’ll be already talking about the next best thing 😂 I’m still on a LG C2 but I’m gonna upgrade soon maybe to a Samsung
Faulty test. Black Myth in Fidelity Mode on PS5 is NOT locked to 30FPS. It actually runs at 32-34FPS which disables the motion upscaler in both TVs rendering this test null.

@N-e.o constant video dropouts during gaming. The S90C didn't have the same issue so it was something with the OCB. After cruising Reddit and RUclips found out it was a pretty widespread issue.
Shouldnt be much different and Samsung still has low lag interpolation for 30hz games Anyone eho has olayed 30hz on an oled knows how much of a game changer it is to be able to get 60fps on all your 30hz titles. That plus brigher colors, gotta go samsung for gaming. Plus most gaming is done with the lights on. The anti glare keeps reflections off rhe tv and having your room superimposed across a game sucks. Id rather have a little less pop and no obnoxious reflection. I own a lg c1. Love it, great tv. But any 30 hz game is essentially unplayable for me. Im not sitting through a slideshow that shakes back s And forth anytime the camera moves. Either way, both are great tv's.
I have the s90c for my pc gaming, it's great. But I play between 100-144hz. I'd go with s90c or s90c over the s95d for gaming personally. The G4 and s95d price tags are a bit much for what you're getting.

Allot of TVs do this but they don't advertise this feature like Samsung does. It's just there in the settings to play with

Agreed, s95d is better for absolute HDR performance but gaming is more level especially at 77”

I have an S90C and S95D. I game on a PC and can assure the S95D is the better gaming TV by a noticeable margin.

A95L not as bright as either the G4 or S95D in game mode. Limited colour advantage and paying lots more for it.

I have the s90c for my pc gaming, it's great. But I play between 100-144hz. I'd go with s90c or s90c over the s95d for gaming personally. The G4 and s95d price tags are a bit much for what you're getting.
