    Cool comparison. I’ve been loving the game mode on my G4. AMD Freesync being displayed on the dashboard is very satisfying. Lots of 120hz tittles on the series X that are just buttery smooth.

    Game motion plus is just a great feature and the crazy thing is Samsung has had this for years now and no other TV maker has bothered to do anything like it which is a real big oversight IMO instead of copying gamebar features like on screen cross hairs focus on this kind of thing LG needs this Sony needs this it would make their game modes much better. My settings for GMP are 30 FPS games = Judder 10 Blur 0. 60 FPS games = Judder 0 Blur 10.

In other words, when you use that color clipping test pattern from 700 to 4000, do you see all the colors closely or even perfectly clipping at the same 1000 or 4000 point?

    I still feel the s90d is the better for gaming between the s95d and s90d. The one connect is a limiting factor if you’re going to be using your PC to game and I play in a completely dark room so I don’t want the anti glare coating.

      @michael-4k4000 4 дня назад

      The One connect box is either helpful or a con based off your current setup. if you have the wires in the wall then the one connect box becomes a problem. The idea of the one connect box is smart and allows for a TV to be repaired easily. For example, if your HDMI ports are not working right, you dont have to take your tv off the wall or off the stand, you can simply have the one connect box replaced.

    S95D doesn't have a black level (as LG G4 has) adjustment for correcting poor black levels in games and many HDR games. If it want a great looking picture, that's part of the puzzle.

    • @ehenningsen
      @ehenningsen 4 дня назад +1

      Blacks look very black to me. I use the proper tools on my PC to correct any black issues from games - such as HDR configurations within the game or reshade.

    • @exhibitD79
      @exhibitD79 4 дня назад +2

      @@ehenningsen Lots of people are not connected to a PC. And then there is the other issue of ambient light (not even direct light) lifting black levels.
      On console, there is no option on Samsung TVs to adjust black levels properly. It's just the way it is. Plus the colour red and green is pushed in their tuning of game mode and needs to be professionally corrected for accuracy. You will see this in the review from Vincent HDTV test.
      No TV is perfect. I really loved my S95C for gaming. But it's certainly not as accurate with colours as the G4 in most cases.
      It does have better colour luminance than the G4 for bright colours and effects though. So depends what games you like and care about.

      @exhibitD79 fair enough. Would be a nice feature for the console gamers.
      I haven't been on a console since early on the PS4 era, so I am a bit behind on what they offer.

      @@R0B0T037 If you have that TV already. Enjoy it. It's not like you are doing to swap it in favour of the S94D or the G4.
      The Sony also has way more accurate colours out of the box compared to Samsung. Which without calibration, is pushing green and red in game mode.
      Overall if you like accuracy (which you must since you got a Sony) then Sony and LG are better options.

      For me, it's the 43inch qn90d because of because of hdmi arc and watching streaming videos. Ghosting is not very noticeable for me and 144 hz is good enough as even a 4090 can't utilize 240 hz in a lot of new games. I also like the large screen as I don't need to do a multi monitor setup for work. But if you just game using pc and don't us a dolby atmos soundbar, youbwould be better served by the g60sd. As a S95D owner and Series X player I can confirm that for 30/60 hz games, game motion plus is a must have feature for me now. I’ve even started playing some games in 30hz with ray tracing and better graphics and the Samsung makes it look like 60hz. The latency is negligible to me. I still play competitive games like COD at VRR 120 but for singed player games you kind of get the best of both worlds, better graphics and smoother gameplay.

    @chinogambino9375 День назад

    I like the testing regime but I think Black Myth Wukong may be one of the worst games to review a TV for gaming performance with, on console it doesn't hit 60fps solid, in its performance mode it uses frame generation making input lag measurements worthless. Due to frame gen artifacts, FSR upscaling, TAA and Unreal Engine 5 processing BMW actually has some of the worst image quality in a game ever despite the advanced textures and shader effects on screen. If you wonder what I mean look at the leaves falling and the trailing artifacts behind them, these are artifacts from upscaling blending data from multiple frames. Running outside performance mode the game has constant judder as well.

    Anyone eho has olayed 30hz on an oled knows how much of a game changer it is to be able to get 60fps on all your 30hz titles.
    That plus brigher colors, gotta go samsung for gaming. Plus most gaming is done with the lights on. The anti glare keeps reflections off rhe tv and having your room superimposed across a game sucks.
