    Enjoyed this one too, Chris - thank you. Presumably, all the concrete and mortar used in these buildings was formed using seawater. Similar to many structures in the Bahamas. A seawater mix lacks the longevity you get with fresh water, which is why such buildings deteriorate over time. We had a home at the south end of St. Pete built this way. Storms may have done the major damage but they might not be the only reason some structures here failed over time.
