well I listned MM-100 and thier articulation and resolution just blows my min. but MM-500 EVEN better in Highs. but they pretty similar in many aspects. I hear some lack of details in 490 even through RUclips, but they have something interesting too. I will buy new cans (I hope nothing gonna change) pretty soon and this two in my comparison list for live walkthrough with MM-100.
Both are very good from what I can hear on RUclips .. Sennheiser has a bit of bite compared to the MM500 , prefer the MM500 just about ..
