As a music producer and a 6XX owner this video is exactly what I was looking for. I really love my 6XX’s but the lack of sub bass is just what made me to use airpods for re-checking mixes all the time which is not very convenient. I guess the 490’s is a good solution for this problem. Thanks for the informative and straight to the point video.
Glad it was helpful. I was having this issue for a while too and was getting frustrated by how the bass was translating. I can definitely tell that these 490s made a big difference in how I mixed my last EP.
I mix on a pair of 770 Pro 80 Ohms with Sound ID Reference. How do these compare to the 770s in terms of sound and build quality? Also, how do they compare to the 900 Pro X and the 1990 Pro?

Thanks for sharing this! Wasn’t expecting the tinnitus info but it’s good to know there’s hope for me :)
Thanks for watching! Yeah, having tinnitus steered me towards mixing in headphones a long time ago. :)
Excellent!
Thank you!
Do mixes ACTUALLY translate, especially to the car?
Better than previous headphones I’ve used, especially on the bass side.

I’m not sure as I hadn’t owned either of those models. I do use sound ID for these and I’ve been really happy with the results and also comfort.
@@CINIMA Thank you for your honest response!
@@hermianofficial3400 no problem!
Thanks for sharing, does the protruding L & R letters inside the cups touch your ears?
No they don’t. For me personally, I find them quite comfortable. Hope that helps.
@@CINIMA It does, thanks again :)
I do mix on headphones for a long time eve though I have a few pair of speakers
