What is you preference? Also, what do you think of the producer pads?

I am listening now on my Meze 109pro. I have Sundara as well but I upgraded to Meze. On 109pro Sundara sounds better than DT900 ProX, but its close enough to go for any. Anyway 109pro its the best of all under 1000$ price. I compare them in hifi studio to Focal Hadenys, Audeze LCD 2F, Focal Clear MG and Arya Organic. Only Arya was better in some different areas like soundstage and neutrality, however Meze sounds more fun especially for rock/metal!

XS sounds much better. HE1000 is peaky

XS mids sound much better to me.. Cant beat planars

MM-500 more natural and cleaner.

R70 much better..smoother for long listening

"Microphones ≠ human ears", is an issue. Better to use something like GRAS 45CA Headphone/Hearing-protector Test Fixture or a cheaper Chinese replica of an artificial ear. An inner ear channel and pinna have been implemented there.

I've got and love the dt 900 pro x, but honestly, the HD 600 sound the most neutral and least weird in the mids and highs in this example. Either way if you are calibrating your setup with something like Sonarworks SoundID you're probably gonna be fine/about equal whichever you choose for sure

I mean I'm not an audiophile but the song number 10 sounds really good on AR5000 compared to Sundara, it's wider and more airy (I think lol just don't know how to describe), anw good comparison keep it up bro

In song #9, I can hear some noise with hd650 but not with the S2. S2 might be good headphones for listening but not for mixing. Since I make music, I’m satisfied with the hd650 that I have now.

Conclusion: Adele’s song is beautiful.

I appreciate you doing these sound demos. Not many creators do this. Could you please compare the aune ar5000 to the dan Clark aeon closed X. Although the closed x are $200 more than the aune ar5000. I’d really love to see if that price difference is worth it.

HD560 sounds more open. I guess I like the treble bump. The 600 sounds more bass heavy.

HD490 sounds a little muted in comparison. 560 seems a little brighter and more open.

800s more open and extended. MM-500 sounds muted or veiled in comparison.

560 is the healing sounds of bees buzzing.. I believe their signature sound. HD800 is bees buzzing combined with AR 5000 fullness of bass... hence the upgrade.

AR sounds fuller and I know I should like more yet I find myself liking the more nasal sound of the 560s... For me right now they seem much easier to listen to. I believe that is the Senhieser signature... especially with their IEMs.

Would be happy with either. AR is more neutral. XS definitely warmer more v-shaped with mids maybe a little recessed. I like the clarity of the AR a bit more I think.

AR is thicker, richer, has more body as well as sounding much more natural. MM sounds like it is coming from a tin can. AR also has more extension on top.

I am watching this demo listening in on the 900 Pro X…. Love these headphones, they are my daily drivers, but not my goto for serious music listening. I do not own the Sundaras, but the HiFiman Edition XS is another level up from the DT900 in detail and soundstage, those i own and use for serious listening. For under $300, they are a bargain these days.
