In my opinion - honestly - your best Video so far. Its just impressive how much love and work you put in every single part. Thanks for doing it the way you do. I love it. I love you.
This is the best love story since... Well I can't think of any that aren't either tragedies or Twilight which is a tragedy in itself. So.. Uhh.... This comment was useless. Fun.
I really appreciate your videos. As someone who watches them just for the relaxation, but understands nothing of the craft, I'm thankful for the extensive explanations and reasoning for each step. And you achieve a balance that I don't see often in restauration channels: you are thorough and perfectionist in what you do, but you don't modify and hide the signs of age so much that the items loose any authenticity. Well done!
Fantastic job doc! I really appreciate the "play by play" comments along the way throughout the the video. You never try to hide or conceal your processes, right down to the oil mixture you are using for the hot bluing. So many of the others don't do that. Thank you for the detail explanations!!
Well Roger I just came home after I visited Mr Patina for his birthday and we just had a long talk about my videos. And he stated that it's sometimes hard to follow my visuals regardless the comments, since I'm too far on the macro shots. So it would be nice to hear your feedback as well
@@NTRprojectsThank you for the invitation to further comment on your videos. I want to be honest with you. As for me, I can say from a layman's prospective that I have no issues with the filming or editing, in fact I think they are fantastic. A perfect start to my learning day. Insane Restoration with the right attention to detail. Even if it seems coordinatively demanding to operate the grinder. Have a nice day!
Excellent restoration. I especially enjoyed the way you saved the original handle with washers to correct the length. Also liked the contrast in colors and textures on the finishes. Great Job!
I have a grinder that looks VERY similar to this one. It was my dad's. He used it all my life and I'm over 70. It hangs in my shop and probably needs restoration, but at least it is not rusty, yet. You did a wonderful job on this and I like the restoration of the grinding wheel.
I've just discovered your channel, amazing restorations and good to see the great work you've done on your basement. With respect, I'd like to make a small suggestion? On the part of the video where you're wet sanding from 400-800 grit, the screen goes dark and light rapidly. You can stop this from happening by changing a setting on your camera: Fixed Exposure. It will keep the same light settings for the whole shot and will alleviate any dark/light changes caused by moving light objects, in this case it is your hand. Love from England
May I say, fantastic work! And a huge thank you for not having music playing during the restoration work. I don't mind it in the reveal, as that is fairly short. Just as a suggestion - have you considered what we call in these parts, a lazy Susan for your paint booth? Also called a turntable.
