Hey Russ, Just to let you know and I am confident others will agree. Your videos, your Un-Grating voice, the music, the info, the Whole program is just Enjoyable AND Entertaining to watch ! Keep up the good work .
They told me that being am in a cargo trailer I need park within 500 feet of a rest room. Not sure that back way would work for me. Thanks for the video, Russ take care, Mike
Great footage! Always love your insider info! Hope to meet you at the RTR! Maybe you can talk Bob and letting you do a presentation on gettin around Quartzsite 👍
I am going to Quartzsite on January 18th. Never been there in Dec or January so I have no idea what to expect. I may join other Motorhomes of my brand on South La Posa and park nearby each other, or I may just try to find my own spot. Russ or anyone, will I be able to find a place to park in South La Posa with no issues during that time ( big show)? I keep hearing that the whole area is booked up. I need to know if spots are readily available during Jan 18-26th.
What about the La Posa BLM space though. Does that get packed to the point that I may have issues getting in there if I wait till the 20th or 22nd? Thank you for your help.
Hey Russ, in an LTVA like LaPosa, what defines "a site". Are there specifically outlined or defined areas? Or do you just basically drive around until you find a patch of ground you like and put down stakes and that's your site?
The closer you are to the Big Tent, the entrances, services, primary access roads, or town, the more packed and the closer others will park to you. Drive farther in and away from the main access roads for more space. Plamosa Rd 14 day area is a wide open area and you should have no problem finding some space to yourself. Hi Jolly 14 day area is a smaller area and closer to town so it can get packed in. Roadrunner to the south is not as popular because it is farther from town but the east half can get packed during the show week with the Ham Quartzfest taking place there. Scandan Wash thins out the farther east you go.
There is some sort of rule that if you don't have a toilet in your rig you must park within a certain distance from one of the porta potties they put out. For the RTR, they hire porta potties for the crowds. "17. Self-Contained Vehicles a. In Pilot Knob, Midland, Tamarisk, and Hot Springs LTVAs, you may camp only in self-contained camping units. The La Posa, Imperial Dam, and Mule Mountain LTVAs are restricted to self-contained camping units, except within 500 feet of a vault or rest room. b. Self-contained camping units must have a permanent, affixed waste water holding tank of 10-gallon minimum capacity. BLM does not consider port-a-potty systems, systems that utilize portable holding tanks, or permanent holding tanks of less than 10-gallon capacity, to be self-contained." That is from this page www.rv-camping.org/blmcampgrounds/
Hi Russ you scared the birds away. They found a good thing, water and food. do they go for the shade when it gets hot. Thanks for the video I enjoy watching it fill up and people have a hard time crossing the street. till next time byebye
Another good video. If ppl watch these, sure no reasons for not being familiar with the area once they get there. Wow, six months for free, amazing, can't beat free 👍. Take care.😊👍
Not free! The LTVAs are $180 for 7 months, or $40 for 2 weeks. The BLM is free, but you can only stay for 2 weeks then move to another BLM land at least 25 miles away. Or you can pay for the LTVA if you want to stay in Q.
Hello Russ. Looks like Quartzsite is getting busy. It should be an awesome place to visit, should be there sometime in January. Trying to make the RTR but still have lots to do on my rebuild. New roof, walls and flooring are scheduled for this month along with a quick tuneup. Carb is burning a little rich. Be safe and keep the viewers informed as you are doing. Bye now.
Thanks Russ. Is there any boondocking near the dog park? Saw the bike path leading into town. I hope to bring my bike on my class c. Bike will be my transportation. Thanks
Question? Why are all of the RV's going to Yuma in your video. What's the big interest in Yuma Arizona? I understand that people will be leaving court site and going to Yuma Arizona. Again what's the big interest in Yuma Arizona. Thank you!
It is a much larger town with many more amenities such as golf courses, grocery stores, RV resorts, etc. Close to Mexico for dental and other shopping. Healthcare. Airport. A little bit warmer. Cose to the Colorado river. Casinos. That is all I can think of at the moment. BLM inexpensive boondocking and the Big Tent show are the big draws of Quartzsite. That works for me.
Thank you Russ, I will be there in just over 2 weeks, this vid has been very helpful. Thanks. Dave
Thanks, Russ.
thanks Roscoe !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wish I was there ...be safe and thanks Russ for the videos
Thanks for showing the other entrance looks quieter / less crowded which is good

Hey Russ, in an LTVA like LaPosa, what defines "a site". Are there specifically outlined or defined areas? Or do you just basically drive around until you find a patch of ground you like and put down stakes and that's your site?
you find a flat area and set up camp....most folks give plenty of room for neighbors...unless its a group
