Actually La Posa South Is open through the summer. You can get a $75 permit that allows you to stay there all summer with access to water, dump station, and garbage.
@@mikebauer464 you can even use the noisy one if you want. Lots of elbow Room, You don't have to park near Anyone. When I inquired about the permit a couple weeks ago they told me only about 30 people usually stay the summer. Remember it does get up to 125゚. In most cases at those temperatures an air conditioner just can't keep up.
A collective sigh from all the residents of Quartzsite after a busy tourist season can be heard throughout the land. Great job covering the happenings in your neck of the desert. Can't wait to see what you do on your time off. Be safe, Russ!
Camped down on Palm Canyon road (by the Labyrinth) last night. Hardly a soul around. Just do not understand why everyone leaves so early. Springtime is the best. 😊😎 --Mark
Great video. I feel I will somewhat know my way around when I get there. I am on the hunt for a good Class C and as you drive around I think "there is one" LOL Thank you for taking your time and showing us around. :)
There has been a change in LTVA policy. There is now a summer permit that allows you to spend two weeks at a time in the LTVA's and have access to the water, dump and trash services. It cost $75 from April 15th through September 15th. You can get back in two weeks before the winter season.
It's the Baby Boom generation, retiring & hitting the road. I was in Quartzite for 3 weeks Jan. into February. Thanks for the video, especially the drone shots, a different perspective on the area.
I didn't know they boot you out of the LTVA's on a certain date. We've only stayed in the two week areas, and not for the entire winter. Interesting. Plamosa road is our fave too.
Nice drive. Sure is cleared out. Those temps are just too high, even with ac. Hope the rain brought a second round of flowers. Great drone footage. Safe travels. 😊👍
Big difference from when the snowbirds are down there. People leaving as the temps increase, the snakes come out and the crawly critters return. Have you done a video on how to keep snakes and spiders out of your rig?
Russ, thanks a million, I really missed being down in that country this winter. Sadly life got in the way, well to tell the truth death got in the way. Over the winter I lost my favorite Brother-in-law just before Christmas, then this month, his wonderful wife, my sister passed away from lung cancer. The main reason we stayed back was that my mother had to enter the nursing home, at 93 years she just could no longer care for herself, I am trying to sell her house for her now. Also my eldest sister had to go into the nursing home, she has brain cancer, and my other brother-in-law was in a near fatal traffic crash, he made it but is still suffering greatly from the massive injuries. This damn getting old sucks. Your videos though, they take me back to the happy times we spent down in Quartzsite, and up in Topock, driving all the same roads you video, it's almost like being back there. If all goes well, we will once again drive those roads, my rig is still in great shape, and I am still kicking hard so perhaps we will once again see you on the road!
Ahh I see. I was hoping to start RVING soon and I was thinking we would stay down in Arizona for quite some time then head home in May or June. Cheers!!!
I forgot what blue skys looked like. Here in Nebraska the temp is still pushing under 30 degrees F. Cloudy every day. We mint get a break only once a week if we are lucky. 24/7 and 7 days a week clouds. So ready to go back south somewhere but not here.
Hi Russ, You never did the review of Rainbow Acres Subdivision. Still curious about the lots there. Is there city water or individual well, septic and so on. We would be interested in your review if the price to buy is high or are the lots leased. Enjoy your summer. Happy Trails. Mike.
Hey Russ getting lonely yet, we have a friend that lives in Bouse and I bought a 3.7 acre place and haven't been There in 2 years but my girl friend and I are missing it. My friend says compared to let's say 10 years ago the visitors Are not Evan half the numbers of the past. And the main event was the main event in Quartzite, what a rich Bozo that guy Who bought that place ran every body down to prospectors panorama my good friend Danny Duke bought that corner and developed it and as everybody knows it's the new main event .
Exactly. If anyone was under the impression that we head to Arizona because it's wonderful and that's where we want to be, think again--as this video demonstrates. It's all about where we _don't_ want to be by comparison. It doesn't matter how nice it may be there so long as things are improving to the north since that is where nearly all of us actually want to be. If there wasn't any winter in the US, this is how empty of people the AZ desert would be all the time.

Can you use a quiet Honda generator to power a small window unit A/C?

@@Captain-Max thanks for info, yea I wouldn't be there in may, June, or July, just too hot but maybe September or October!!!
@@mikebauer464 Early June until mid September is too hot for me. I'm on my way to Flagstaff For the summer at the moment.
Great job this Quartzsite season, Russ. Your hard work is greatly appreciated.

Good style. Relaxing to watch. I recommend to other travel bloggers who need more "show" and less "tell". Great stuff.
Russ, you have really covered the Quartzsite area very well. Enjoyed seeing all of the fine videos you have made.
Hey friend, thanks for taking the time to show us around!
Great drone footage Russ...and yes, it does look very barren out there!
Cheers to you buddy ✌🏻😎🍻

Already getting ready for November's drive to Quartzite. See ya then.
Why does everyone leave so fast and head north? It looks beautiful there and not too hot just yet. Cheers!!!
The long term winter camping permits end April 15th so I guess they figure it is time to get back on the road.

How does Quartzsite survive economically the rest of the year? Great videos btw.
I can’t believe it . Why are they empty ?
great video. Would you have a link on where to buy that drone of yours ? Thanks
What brand/model drone do you fly?
When does it get unbearably hot at QZ?
June , July, Aug gets 60000 degrees in the sun 120 in the shade. Seriously highs can hit 132 in the open.
And what are the weather conditions like? I can handle 80 and low humidity, but is it 90 or 100 yet?
not yet but will be in the 100;s soon
