I Released an Apex Predator into My Giant Rainforest Vivarium

  • I created my dream tank, a 1000 gallon cloud rainforest vivarium, called Pantdora, and it's purpose is to study how tropical ants and other exotic creatures live in the wild. I already added an initial team of animals into the terrarium, but it was missing a very important player in the food chain: an apex predator. In this episode, we release my chosen apex predator into the Pantdoran rainforest, and the result was pretty awesome. Hope you enjoy this week's episode, Part 7 of my Ecosystem Vivarium Series. Ant love forever! This video was shot in 4K Ultra HD resolution.

Having a phobia doesn't mean you can't watch them. I have arachnophobia and I can let spiders crawl over me, just like AntsCanada fears worms but still handles them. Fear is to be conquered, never let a phobia prevent you from enjoying the marvelous insect world.

I disagree with other commenters on here, I know not all (especially the extreme) phobias can be beaten or ignored despite what people say sadly, however, I can still love and enjoy insects like ants and other animals massively, I am even studying zoology at university! (Plus to your point, arachnids are not insects they are separate groups)

I think they stand a better chance in Pandora than in nature and I wouldn't compare this to the hunger games your humanizing insects, and its been clearly stated it is being documented as a scientific evaluation as well.
I personally used to hate every insect until I ran into this channel, I really think that this is a great way to learn about nature by slicing it and in this sense this person has considered every aspect so that it wouldn't be a total blood bath.
You have to respect the planning and the initiative put into this...hunger games no, a great way to understand what happens in nature, usually caused by humans anyway and using nature to balance it seems a great way for people to see up close the consequences of our own actions.
But that's me #justsayin because I will agree to disagree with your comment.

Not been here in a while and I’ve came back and see a lot has changed that the tanks are now at the point that they are a giant living entity you have to make offerings to.
    Jeez what have I missed.
On a side note, I just want to thank you and your community for everything.
The work you do is fantastic it’s literally the best, along with your community; it’s super friendly.
This channel has got me through some tough times, it kept me grounded, it relaxed me, it helped me, I used your voice as ASMR and helped develop a decent sleeping pattern for the first time in about a decade.
It reignited my interests for nature and helped me to develop a hobby to keep me busy, keep me relaxed and my stress levels down.
When times were tough I’d come and watch and feel like it was normal again that I had not a care in the world.
I just want to say, I’m a just over a year clean after about 15 years of hell and I am now building my life back together.
Your channel really helped me in the dark days and especially to get through that early period of change.
I just want to thank you AntsCanada, for all your hard work and everything you’ve done for me and much love to you and your community.

Man I really felt a lot of emotion about nature after watching this video. I really love nature and I feel we should do everything possible to make our beautiful planet a better place to live. And uk I really felt like our human race should continue to exist and thrive along with other species on this planet. Thank you for this amazing series.

This belongs on an actual show like Animal Planet - the cinematic shots, the music, the narration, and knowledge behind this ecosystem. It all comes together to make something entertaining for anyone of any background. Great job AC.

Can't believe you got your spiders to mate! You must really know your stuff about their environments and they must feel totally at home. I hope those ants are a new species. Always awesome 👏👏

Bro, I used to be afraid of Spiders and Insects.
Now I am just mesmerized by the Beauty of their Nature.
It does something inside...It's almost as if I can connect to nature inside myself, watching your small World thrive and change so drastically.
It makes me more and more aware of Change being a very natural part of Life.
    This is absolutely amazing, Dude.
Thank you for sharing your Passion with me!

The arachnophobia warnings are actually so helpful, I love watching these videos as I’ve always been interested by documentaries and nature videos, I simply cannot handle spiders though, and forcing myself to glimpse at them from time to time has been helping me get over it. Thank you again AntsCanada

Haha thank you for answering the question of your geographical location in "tropical forest Canada," i had been wondering at that to the point of preoccupation but now it makes so much sense...i don't often find a reason to watch YT on my dad's big tv, my phone is fine, but i think it would be marvelous to see this detail on a 60" screen and i think my folks would like it too

The most hilarious part of this episode was the skink v grasshopper. In a tank with such regular brutal violence to see the skink carry off the grasshopper and then for the grasshopper to just be fine later got a genuine laugh out of me.

I appreciate your arachnophobe warnings so much, thank you for that! Labeling your segments really heightened my enjoyment of your amazing video. When it was huntsman time again, I switched to another tab and just listened to your explanations of what was going on. I find these creatures fascinating and I like learning about them, but for me it's best to do that without watching and it was extremely kind of you to facilitate that.
