I think Celestial differentiator was made for Yanqing, with the early crit rate meant to offset his need to activate soulsteel sync and his burst to get passable crit without over capping, but after that it's just useless.
I think Firesmith never really had any super niche users to take any benefit from the 4pc. These days, I _only_ use the 2pc and that's before getting a better set for the character I'm building
At this point, in the future with the new sets we've gotten, the 2pc Guard even, is not that great. With Aventurine being able to do FUA, that 8% isn't that great and is better spent on something else; arguably Diviner Fu is the only person you might use Guard on, but then why's it better over the DEF armor set. Cosmic Enterprise only really has the EHR going for it, but ever since we got Nihility's Jiaoqiu's Signature, the 60% EHR from the Cone is more than enough and depending on which character you're using, another Planar set would be better for dmg/utility. A lot of players _consider_ Belobog of the Architects useless, but really, it's only "best" used on any unit that scales on DEF. Otherwise, the only real merit is defensive utility, which isn't horrible, but given that speed clearing tends to trump defense, it's easy to see why it gets a bad rap. Sometimes I equip Belobog on my Abundance units if I don't have something else ready for them. Sprightly Vonwacq .... has had its moments where it's great, but given how much SPD we can give our characters now, and that Action Advance is in our supporters' kits anyway, the utility is a little obsolete. If you have pieces that have perfect substats, you don't lose by using it. The Bananamusement Park set is only really good for Jing Yuan and Topaz, or maybe a crit build Lingsha, other than that, if you've already got Salsotto for the former you have no need to farm unless you're going for the Lushaka set Space Sealing Station was overshadowed by Glamoth, as DMG increase is better than ATK increase, BUT it is technically Robin's BiS, as her buffs scale on ATK Firesmith and Sizzling Thunder are just plain obsolete. Eagle of Twilight Line kind of is too, but only because most Wind units have a better BiS. Ironically, Musketeer and Thief, which I assumed would become the worst pieces, have surprised me by becoming somewhat still relevant with Super Break meta and with units like March 8th who utilize their Basic more than their Skill.
