I've been saying about the Gateshead stadium for a while. Your the first I've heard on RUclips say the same thing. Seems the solution to a city centre new build stadium, investment for Gateshead (who could be set up as a proper feeder club) and a stadium share solution for nufc ladies in the mid term?
If we move out of SJP, we will lose the heart and soul of the club! And recent figures show that the additional money would only buy us a mid range player anyhow…
Disagree massively, it shows when the club is playing away. It's the supporters. United make another 100mill a season on top of us, that's some mid range player we are missing out on... every, single, season. The stadium is at capacity, there's no room for extra fans buying things, there's no room for more corporate boxes, there's not much room for growth.
Douglas is talking utter crap that people would love to come and spend hours in the ground before the match. No Newcastle fan has any interest in that when there is 200 pubs outside the ground. He also contradicts himself when he says inios were interested but the ground put them off but they bought into Man Utd and are now on about rebuilding a new ground so they could have done the same at Newcaslte. Also why would PIF build a stadium for Gateshead and invest in a club they don’t own just pure pie in the sky talk from more talking heads. Anfield has been modernised and I can tell you now when going to away games I would soon go to Anfield than Everton’s new ground. The Spurs stadium looks amazing but the atmosphere is crap it’s full of tourists and Douglas talking about what they do in America before games!!! We are not yanks we know what football is about and it not eating hot dogs and sitting on the back Of 4x4s before a game.
I'd rather spend time in the stadium with a view than a pub, before and after. PIF bought newcastle before Ineos invested in man united, so probably prior takeover and has since had the opportunity to invest in united. As much as i dislike united, it's not the same thing.
It’s not a dump at all. it needs a full refurbishment on the facility’s but it’s not a dump. Having been to plenty of other grounds it’s clear that they have facilities that are more basic than our own but offer better food and drink.
It's one of the best looking stadiums in the league. Look at Liverpool's stadium. It looks awful. Expanding the Gallowgate and modernising the East Stand will make it look ten times better
@@BATC98 if redeveloped, will it be able to accommodate a larger internationally oriented fan base for the next two decades, as well as, adding more revenue producing business to the club? If we are going to become a successful club, the demands from the fanbase will increase.
Douglas is always a quality interview.
Good episode 👍
Don’t you have an audio VU meter? It would be nice if you could level out the volume between the two of you.
As long as it’s city centre there won’t be a problem

Cant we add another tier to the Leazes stand and Milburn stand and then expand the Gallowgate equally plus rebuild the East Stand? Could make it 72000
Can't get in - that's what matters you can keep your hotdogs and lager.

The supporters are the hesrt and sole. We wont change. So nothing will change

Which United?
Sjp is a dump, to be honest I've been a season ticket hold for years and we need a new stadium 🏟
