Man, I remember the first time I heard it while just minding my business in the camp. As a mexican myself, Gabriel Sloyer´s performance got me deep into my heart, especially during his singing segments. His mexican spanish accent is definitely on point, and im glad both Rockstar and Gabriel cared about that detail, because normally with these types of productions they just bring someone who barely speaks the language (Looking at you breaking bad) And because of it, there´s a disconnect between the viewer and the character because you know something isnt right, and im so happy with Gabriel for doing an incredible and also beliavable job as Javier!
Javier's character design is very good in red dead 2 and you can for sure see they wanted to flesh him out even more. I love his stories too. The way he can tell some of them are haunting. Very glad he was able to improve him even more.
@@Theb4773ry Like in New Mexico? I asked my Venezuelan friend to listen to this and she said OMG! what a Mexican dialect...of course she hasn't spen time in the territories that we stole from Mexico.
I can always be found close to Javier in Story game. I‘m playing it again, and I just can‘t get myself to continnue with Chapter 2… just because I like the place the most and everyone there. I did save Sean already, but now, I just sit at the Campfire with Javier and enjoy his singing.
A very touching song from Javier. I'm not the best at deciphering songs behind the lyrics but it kinda made me think of how it suited a similar path with Javier's, what with him leaving his country and all that and things coming to an end.

They wrote it for the game based on Javier’s backstory! All of Javier’s songs (excluding “Cielito Lindo” and interestingly enough a good majority of “La Calandria”) are original and written about him; more often than not about the woman he killed for back in Mexico. Every single song mentions her at least once.

I’ve been wondering, how do you sort the missions and the interactions within a episode? Have you got a specific order you follow? You guys are doing great with the show. Keep ‘em comin!!
Great question! We have almost all camp interactions written down for each chapter, and then we break them up over the course of how they are given to us. It seems like a linear timeline with our play through at the moment. There are some things we missed, which is fine, because when we remake episodes 1-3 in season 2, we can fill out the episodes with more camp interactions. There are alot of interactions in chapter 2 and 3, and some even repeat if you don't get one in a certain chapter. We have been sorting those out as well. Trying to decide to put certain ones in season 2 or season 3
This video version is not ost as there is still alot of noises going on from the game world. We have thought of doing 2 videos for these song. One with the noise from the world, and one with just the in game sound file. Would you like that?

_y cayo el que andaba ausente_ (and fallen, he who was gone)
_ahora veran pelones_ (now the balds will see)
and gets Anglicized like this to rhyme/give off the meaning of the song, which I think you used for the lyric source:
Already fallen is the stately-
-pine where the doves perched by the air-full;
He who's gone returned lately
now the short-haired will be careful
