All these years later, I came back to visit Mexico where my father made a house. Throughout all my nights here visiting and seeing so many artists. This music came to mind. Truly unforgettable.
On my second playthrough just before the last arthur morgan mission i heard javier playing his song and i sat with bill, javier and john one last time. I cant remember if it was el borrachito or la calandria but it hit hard since it was the last camp encounter i had before confronting dutch and the legendary rat one last time. I think it was el borrachito.
The one he sung at Beaver Hollow was so sad for me. Well the one I heard him sung. His quiet calm tone seamed so sad especially caause this was just before I rescued John and after that is just truly where the gang starts to break apart

Having recently beaten this game and gotten to the epilogue.. I severely miss chilling around/doing chores with him singing by the fire. Truly feels like a different game now not coming back to the camps regurely for chores and supplies.
I’m Mexican from the state of Hidalgo and my dad sings this songs and others from the Revolution that his dad used to sing with him. Javier Escuella is really accurate 🇲🇽🤠
LA CALANDRIA in English: All in a cage pure golden hung in a balcony, a lady-lark imprisoned was crying to be free. (×2) Chorus Oh God, is there no pity? Oh God, is there no mercy? You rob me of all my peace... and goodbye tranquility! Until a young finch-gallant by chance a-passing flew and said, "My little beauty, [love you much, I do." (×2) [Chorus And straightway the lady-lark, she promised fair and true: "Oh, take me from my prison, and will go with you." (×2)
Thank you so much for posting this. It's lovely to hear his voice isolated from the camp sounds. I always seemed to have the worst luck when he was singing - I'd rush over to listen, only to have a gang member approach me or talk loudly about something unrelated lmao
El Coyotito (Little Coyote) translation: When I parted from my city (Hermosillo), Tears and tears I came a-crying, And with trumpet-flower pretty To comfort myself was trying. I am like the coyotito That rolls them over and leaves them, And I go trotting so neat, oh, My downcast glance deceives them. Already is fallen the stately Pine where doves perched by the air-full; He who was gone returned lately, Now the short-haired must be careful. Already fallen is the humble Hut where my sword was suspended. What is the use of fuss and grumble, If all things at last are ended? Already is fallen the lonely Hut where my mirror was peeping. And in the oak-thickets only The rabbit has stretched for sleeping. Dried is now the prickly-pear cooling That we both hunted when younger; Now me no more will go fooling With your jealous tricks in my hunger. Friends, I charge you all unshaken, If my sweetheart you'll be seeing, Tell her not that I've been taken, For she is the good of my being.
There is such a definite feeling of longing and nostalgia in these songs. Javier really brings something special to those nighttime campfires. El Borrachito, in particular, always leaves me in tears. Such a sad, beautiful tune ❤
Javier Esquella:A famous Troubadour of the old west and had several old recordings that were found after his death and he became famous 20 years after his death and despite being a famous singer he shunned being rich giving most of his money to his parents and to the church and the money that he kept was for transportation, food, and lodging, he performed in bars, pubs, and eateries, and managed himself and rather live his life on his own and his music career was eclectic but he wrote all of his songs from his many travels around the world and what he'd seen and experienced he never recorded in a studio his recorded music was done while performing they were released on a small label the money he made as mentioned above went to his family a lot of his life was a mystery and was living in a hotel in Las Vegas at the time of his death at 90 his survivors were few as most of his family had died way before him, whether he married or not has never been clarified or having any children as well.
This is probably the best song I really wish these songs were on Spotify, that would be so so amazing and so great I love these songs especially EL Borrachito that’s my favorite song out of them all and I love the last one
I agree, I hate how a lot of the rdr2 songs I want to listen to aren’t on Spotify. Like the ambient music of each state, the gang singing songs together, or just Javier singing by himself
Playing RDR after playing RDR2 is extremely immersive. Javier never directly betrayed John. He just picked a side he thought was right. I really wish his character had some more development in RDR as apposed to RDR2
i don’t know if it was a thing in the game or if i just got lucky but one play through in chapter 2, javier was singing “angel de amor” and “la mentira” as the sun was setting and it was the most beautiful thing i’ve ever seen in a game. and to top it off after he was finished singing, he said he was going to bed so i had gone to bed also. i love how this game can feel so real at times
It was a nice night and me and the gang sat next to the fire, hearing the slow crackling and Javier sang his relaxing tunes. This game is amazing man, it’s so sad to imagine people never get to experience something like this in there life, especially in the future.
Just thinking, they all wanted a good life, they all cared so much for each other, its really sad how things turned out. You can really see how much Dutch tried to save them all and at the end he was so dissapointed...

I cant remember if it was el borrachito or la calandria but it hit hard since it was the last camp encounter i had before confronting dutch and the legendary rat one last time. I think it was el borrachito.

@@newfic2290all the world love this bro
The one he sung at Beaver Hollow was so sad for me. Well the one I heard him sung. His quiet calm tone seamed so sad especially caause this was just before I rescued John and after that is just truly where the gang starts to break apart
I don't even speak Spanish but I love Javier songs
El Borrachito lyrics!
Al Borrachito, todo se le dispensa
Cuando anda chispo
No conoce la verguenza
Si me emborracho
Si me emborracho
Thank you!!
thanks man I couldn't have found them anywhere
Javier has always been my favorite character
When rd2 came out everywhone didnt know what Javier like is. After this game I cant kill this one in El Presidio.
All we knew is that he was a creep in RDR1 and was supposed to be more like Micah. Too bad they retconned that and made him a fancy romantic ;/
@@Redemptify I don't know man I love The Javier in rdr2 and thanks for uploading this video Cielto Lindo is my fav
@@Redemptify It fits with him being a cynic who wanted to be a romantic.
@@RedemptifyI'm not really sure if they retconned him. People don't change a lot from birth, but they can adapt to their surroundings
Simplemente genial!! Grande Rock Star!!
I always loved coming back from being gone from camp for awhile to this music.
Having recently beaten this game and gotten to the epilogue.. I severely miss chilling around/doing chores with him singing by the fire. Truly feels like a different game now not coming back to the camps regurely for chores and supplies.
Im obsessed with this omg 😭✋🏻
I’m Mexican from the state of Hidalgo and my dad sings this songs and others from the Revolution that his dad used to sing with him. Javier Escuella is really accurate 🇲🇽🤠
‘Aye, aye aye aye!’ The happiest thing I’ve ever known in red dead
I love Javiers singing
thanks so much,i could only find these songs with uncle yelling in the backround
i was walking by javier and i heard spanish and was like wait. he sings so nicely and had a soft tone 😌
LA CALANDRIA in English: All in a cage pure golden hung in a balcony, a lady-lark imprisoned was crying to be free. (×2)
Chorus
Oh God, is there no pity?
Oh God, is there no mercy?
You rob me of all my peace... and goodbye tranquility!
Until a young finch-gallant by chance a-passing flew and said, "My little beauty, [love you much, I do." (×2)
[Chorus
And straightway the lady-lark, she promised fair and true:
"Oh, take me from my prison, and will go with you." (×2)
Thank you so much for posting this. It's lovely to hear his voice isolated from the camp sounds. I always seemed to have the worst luck when he was singing - I'd rush over to listen, only to have a gang member approach me or talk loudly about something unrelated lmao
im learning spanish now, thanks javier escuella
y ya aprendiste español?
yo te enseño español pero tú enséñame inglés XD
I finally know the name of that song (La calandria) i know him as "Adios Tranquilidad"
But now i know his real name :D
El Coyotito (Little Coyote) translation:
When I parted from my city (Hermosillo),
Tears and tears I came a-crying,
And with trumpet-flower pretty
To comfort myself was trying.
I am like the coyotito
That rolls them over and leaves them,
And I go trotting so neat, oh,
My downcast glance deceives them.
Already is fallen the stately
Pine where doves perched by the air-full;
He who was gone returned lately,
Now the short-haired must be careful.
Already fallen is the humble
Hut where my sword was suspended.
What is the use of fuss and grumble,
If all things at last are ended?
Already is fallen the lonely
Hut where my mirror was peeping.
And in the oak-thickets only
The rabbit has stretched for sleeping.
Dried is now the prickly-pear cooling
That we both hunted when younger;
Now me no more will go fooling
With your jealous tricks in my hunger.
Friends, I charge you all unshaken,
If my sweetheart you'll be seeing,
Tell her not that I've been taken,
For she is the good of my being.
And original lyrics, taken from subtitles:
An RDR game for Javier please.
There is such a definite feeling of longing and nostalgia in these songs. Javier really brings something special to those nighttime campfires. El Borrachito, in particular, always leaves me in tears. Such a sad, beautiful tune ❤
Javier singing has given me much more comfort that I‘ll ever be able to express!❤
I’ve listened to this many times and I shall continue to listen to this a lot, awesome playlist!
My favorita
Angel de amor.
It's just an unforgettable moment, rescuing Jack and the gang truly enjoying the night for one last time. God, what a masterpiece.
Micah is the one who broke up this family😢
I have literally listened to this on repeat for the past 20 minutes. i love it
thank you so much finally i can listen to el borachito :DDD
i love Javier
I literally want Javier as my uncle or something
I love him so much-
Keep vibing on in heaven, you smooth bandido 👌😭
I can only speak English but I have Cielito Lindo memorized bc of this game
Who's your favorite artist?
Me: Javier Escuella!
This hits differently after playing rdr 1
La Calandria is my fav, Javier sounds so cute
Javier Esquella:A famous Troubadour of the old west
and had several old recordings that were
found after his death and he became famous
20 years after his death and despite being a
famous singer he shunned being rich giving
most of his money to his parents and to the church
and the money that he kept was for transportation,
food, and lodging, he performed in bars, pubs, and eateries,
and managed himself and rather live his life on his own and
his music career was eclectic but he wrote all of his songs
from his many travels around the world and what he'd seen
and experienced he never recorded in a studio his recorded music
was done while performing they were released on a small label
the money he made as mentioned above went to his family
a lot of his life was a mystery and was living in a hotel in Las Vegas
at the time of his death at 90 his survivors were few as most of his
family had died way before him, whether he married or not has never
been clarified or having any children as well.
Thanks a million! What a great singer.
Playing this full volume with my headphones cause his voice is so soothing and comforting
Me when Javier starts playing: 🏃♀️💨
JAVIER IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE
This is probably the best song I really wish these songs were on Spotify, that would be so so amazing and so great I love these songs especially EL Borrachito that’s my favorite song out of them all and I love the last one
I agree, I hate how a lot of the rdr2 songs I want to listen to aren’t on Spotify. Like the ambient music of each state, the gang singing songs together, or just Javier singing by himself
Fun fact: In the final mission, when everyone chooses a side, Javier points his gun up because he can't bring himself to aim at Arthur and John.
Javier’s your cool stoner buddy that plays guitar and is the nicest person of the group.
This is such an amazing video we all needed
i love this man sm i cant even describe how much i need him in my life omfg
I have played guitar with Javier and must i say it was a wholesome experience
Playing RDR after playing RDR2 is extremely immersive. Javier never directly betrayed John. He just picked a side he thought was right. I really wish his character had some more development in RDR as apposed to RDR2
i could not agree more!
Canciones que alegran en corazón cuando juegas ♥️
Piece of art i say.
i don’t know if it was a thing in the game or if i just got lucky but one play through in chapter 2, javier was singing “angel de amor” and “la mentira” as the sun was setting and it was the most beautiful thing i’ve ever seen in a game. and to top it off after he was finished singing, he said he was going to bed so i had gone to bed also. i love how this game can feel so real at times
You know that life we lived is over. And when we was living it, it didn't mean nothing It was just an excuse and we all knew.
It was a nice night and me and the gang sat next to the fire, hearing the slow crackling and Javier sang his relaxing tunes. This game is amazing man, it’s so sad to imagine people never get to experience something like this in there life, especially in the future.
This game is such a masterpiece and yesterday someone said to me it is boring, I was massively offended
i learnt all the words to cielito lindo

Que no el mejor era Arthur?
javier one of the best characters in rdr2
Just thinking, they all wanted a good life, they all cared so much for each other, its really sad how things turned out. You can really see how much Dutch tried to save them all and at the end he was so dissapointed...
This video is the video I wanted the most on youtube
hello god, its me again
