How far this channel has come is amazing. I remember watching mike review gloves in front of a black screen. Absolutely love the channel it’s the Kate Beckinsale or J Lo of RUclips channels. Keep up the fire!
Personally, I preferred the black screen days. They relied more heavily on education than theatrics. It's fun watching the guys shoot but I feel like GT should make videos like Forgotten Weapons, where one video is essentially a lecture and another that is pure shooting.
Love and support PSA for making quality arms at a good price, putting all the big manufacturers on blast for making some things waaaaaay overpriced due to name brands.
Also PSA is direct to consumer, to keep costs low. These are not on shelves at the gun store. Plus they also sell blemished products at a decent discount, aka “BLEM models”. Might have a scratch or three, but it’s just cosmetic.
Yeah, I've got a PA-10 blem lower and rifle upper next to me now. Mag-Pull rear sight and BCM extended charging handle. Good trigger straight from PSA. Dependable still not shot enough to say, but the question is ammunition quality. 🤔 That's been something of a problem without spending a fortune on it.
Nothing will tell you more about a gun then how much effort they put into the drills sequence, aka, after 2 minutes of the video I think he loves that gun.
I think alot of hate people give them is cause they don't want to admit that they're actually doing what customers want, had this been H&K or some big name , these guns would've cost 2x more
I just got my Christmas present(JAKL with 13.7 and B&T stock) along with a couple cases of AAC 5.56 ammo. I'm excited I've been watching videos and reading reviews for months. Thanks guys.
Between all their retro stuff coming out, their new offerings, and innovation, I am just really impressed with PSA. Micha and his reload was dope lmao. Props bro 😎 💯🙏🏻.
I appreciate that casing discharge path, as a mainly lefty shooter on rifles. Ambidextrous is a thing with this one. I really don't know what can be said bad about it.
I think their new kit is good to go, but I'm still cautious. There's a lot... LOT of OLD PSA and even fake PSA kit out there at gun shows in random states across the country. Would I hesitate to buy from PSA new shipped to an FFL? No. Would I buy with cash an unknown vintage PSA kit built or derived from a gun show? Likely not.
With all the accumulating wisdom, I think in 30 years or more, Garand Thumb will be the old man sitting on top of the mountain with answers to everyone's questions.
He needs to slow on on the gear if he wants to be around in 30 years. He's not a young man anymore and the rate at which he bulked up suggests he's taking a lot. Concerned for him.
Massad Ayoob and Hickok45 aren't juiced and using their RUclips channels as their personal "I'm a badass action hero" advertisement. Not hating, just completely different kinds of people.
I love PSA. They have so many amazing products. The Marauder is great, I love the Dagger, their charging handles, rifles. They are well respected by everyone I know. If I needed a new rifle I would get the Jakl but I don’t so I will never have one. Still like to watch videos about stuff I’ll never get tho 😆
PSA has really been hitting it out of the park the last few years and putting out some awesome products that are affordable and reliable for the most part. They have really come a long way, and their AAC ammo line has really impressed me with the price, accuracy, options, and new releases constantly coming out. My favorite AAC loads thus far have been their 5.56 77gr OTM, 75gr BTHP, and their supersonic 300blk options. With the pricing of AAC ammo, especially the more specialty rounds that are better for long range and defense versus FMJ options, I suggest everyone attempt to stock up on them if they prove to do well for you also.
@@HamuelTheGrey I have a 10.5 and a 16” PSA AR-15. AAC 5.56 FMJ for range is about as good as it gets for the price and AAC Sabre Black Tip is incredibly accurate and not a whole lot more.
I love how everyone here is some form of super soldier. Mojo just snags a sig mag to jam in his glock and Micah just starts ransacking the mags in Mike's rig. Off the rip. Just that quick. Really good group of guys.
I work for L3Harris out here in the great, still free state of NH. I work directly on the NGAL line and it makes me proud that the NGAL on this firearm most likely went through my hands during manufacturing. Thanks for the awesome reviews!
Born and raised in the People's Republic of New York, now a proud NH'er. 'Live Free or Die' is not just a meme... Last stand of freedom in the northeast.
I find it interesting that PSA, while imperfect with there CS, has made both the Jakl and M110 functional within a year and have listened to the users and fixed most of the problems, unlike FN and SiG. They're putting out unique firearms which perform admirably within a record time frame.... It's incredible. Other companies should look at PSA and this rifle and follow their lead this regard.
Piston upper with an adjustable gas block makes this a great suppressor host. Plus, they ship the upper with two different gas block dials with different port sizes, one for suppressed and one for unsuppressed, to give you maximum adjustment potential. I have the 10.5 Jakl and I love it.
I have the 805 bren in fde at 11" pistol I adore for reasons it's always been one of dream rifles until they moved to the ugly bren 2 and they discontinued it. I honestly think I'd trade mine for this and cash at the end of the day. Not gonna lie.😊
God I love mine. It’s the 10.5” and have well over 10k rounds through it. She did not like my unrealistic mud test though. Other than that, she’s been flawless. Reaches out to 250 easily with red dot and that’s outside of the parameters I purchased it for.
Thanks for checking out the jakl. Iv had mine for about 4 months and I love it. I put a hoge grip on mine, an ambi safety, a geissele SSA SE if I remember right. Holoson AEMS with x3 magnifier. And a light laser combo. Eventually I'll get a suppressor on it. It's super fun to shoot👍
I have had 2 of their ARs and buy probably 2/3 of my other guns from them because I live on Gville, SC and they are a few miles away. Order their web deals and pick up in store with no extra transfer fees. They always have great prices in not just their guns, but all the brands.
Just shot mine on the range for the first time. Bit front heavy but nothing crazy. LOVE IT! Runs great, Being used to AR platforms, it feels familiar yet different enough to be cool and who didn't love the acr in MW2? I would absolutely be okay with using this as a combat ready weapon.
as soon as this went live i looked over at my 14.5 jakl and smiled. it was like a proud dad moment. then after GT's review it made me even happier to own this rifle
I have a BCM for my duty rifle. 23:25 I bought this as a range toy, I thought it looked cool and wanted to shoot it. So far, it’s been a pleasure, zero issues, I only have 1000 rounds through it so bear that in mind.
I'd call modern Colt mid-low tier, not mid high. Their quality, especially in the fit and finish/coatings department has dropped a lot in the last decade.
@@TheFishE77Official Honestly wouldn’t know. I’m new to the game, but I always assumed Colt was of higher/better quality since it produced the US government M16s and many law enforcement departments carried their AR-15s

I have the 14.5, and other than being overly front heavy, it is my favorite and my go to rifle at this point. PSA is consistently getting better and better at what they do.
Once again, PSA proves that just because something isn't expensive doesn't meant it's "cheap". Would love to see you do your mud and freeze test with this rifle and it's rivals (805, IWI Caramel, Galil ACE, SCAR, etc) and see how they stack up against each other.
@@IwillfigureoutanamelaterGalil is a AK. It just is. All AK variants with long stroke piston designs will choke up in mud after about 1 round fired. They will do well frozen however.
well, I never knew anything about PSA Jakl, until I saw this video, and his review was convincing enough that I went ahead and bought one(14.5" with ASR hider). So far I'm very happy with it. I used ACOG I had sitting around, but I'll likely change the optic to something else.
I’ve shot almost exclusively milspec triggers. Some polished or “enhanced”. Recently fired my dad’s Sabre rifle with the Sabre trigger. Wow. What a difference. Now I see why guys love their aftermarket triggers. I’m no trigger expert, but the Sabre trigger seemed awesome to me, and I believe it’s like $80. Senor Thumb appears to like it as well.
Damn, PSA was my secret manufacturer to get quality firearms for a fraction of the cost. Oh well, guess I better go buy several more before the prices jump. Good job and love your videos, they are entertaining and informational as well. Kudos, to you and your team.
Who’s secret? They sell out of everything so fast all the time 😂 way before the JAKL even came out and certainly before GT did any reviews because he has actually done reviews on PSA weapons before this one.
PSA doesn’t really raise prices. They’re not that profitable of a company as their primary goal is the proliferation of firearms. Honestly not sure how much longer they’re gonna stick around. Hopefully a whole, but common sense says otherwise.
I’ve been considering the 8” 300 blk. The fact you can put a folding brace or stock on it is nice for keeping it compact. Glad you made this video to help inform my decision.
JAKL in 300 is just too much fun. The fact that you can strap a ~$700 upper onto any AR15 lower is pretty awesome too. I highly recommend this firearm. Glad to see it performing well especially from a "budget" company like PSA.
@rileyschubert It does have some movement to it, as does the chargi g handle. I haven't had a single issue since the first couple shots when I pulled a derp and tried to break it in dry. Few drops of oil, and it's smooth as butter. It is possible in one spot along the track to get the sled into the track system at a weird angle while the charging handle is removed, which can be annoying to get back out. The play didn't seem to matter with the non reciprocating handle.
the JAKL has been tempting me for months, but I own so much PSA stuff already that I feel like I need to switch it up a bit. I was dying to know if it was solid or not so thank you for putting this out!
Got a 13.7. Right out of the box, the extractor was not extracting. Thought it was a gas issue, but confirmed the extractor has failed. Replaced with a new one and works like a dream.
The editing keeps getting better and better on these vids. The little text on ranges and stuff was nice. The sound effects for it really tied it together. Solid
Templar Precision is fully supporting the ACR his barrel conversions are awesome. I have a 5.56 and 300blk barrel getting a 7.62x39 barrel soon CANT wait. If I didn’t already have an ACR I’d definitely buy a Jakl
yes that is normal but PSA could have made the sled a little bit longer and it wouldn't have that much play. Im not sure if they did that for a reason or if they just made it with loose tolerances but it makes a lot of noise when running with it.@@rileyschubert

Excellent review. I have a 16” version and use a surefire socom suppressor. I tuned mine to use Federal 73 grain Berger and 77 grain ammo. It took a little while but when I got it done it shoots awesome. I’m not seeing sluggish carrier issues, ejection pattern is consistent at 3:30 to 4:00 in nice little piles. I have a Vortex Razr HD with American defence mount. I have made this my go to gun for now as it’s extreamly accurate and very soft shooting with little to no muzzle rise. Better than most movies nowadays.

His intros aren't anything special from a visual standpoint. But from an audible standpoint he has absolutely taken ques from Scicario. Those sounds get the blood pumping, increases your heart rate and gets you involved on an almost personal level.

Weirdest compliment I've ever seen, but I get it
Personally, I preferred the black screen days. They relied more heavily on education than theatrics. It's fun watching the guys shoot but I feel like GT should make videos like Forgotten Weapons, where one video is essentially a lecture and another that is pure shooting.
Damn, I forgot how incredibly fine vampire mommy is. Thanks for reminding me.
The adapted reload by Micah was friggn clean. Good stuff Micah!
Fu¢k your kit. It did come in handy for Micca tho. 😂 "Hey, homie, can I borrow a mag, ok maybe 2?" Lol Micca, now that's situational tactics!

Like the Massad Ayoob of rifles to that generation 🤣
He needs to slow on on the gear if he wants to be around in 30 years. He's not a young man anymore and the rate at which he bulked up suggests he's taking a lot. Concerned for him.
He will be the next hickok 45.
Massad Ayoob and Hickok45 aren't juiced and using their RUclips channels as their personal "I'm a badass action hero" advertisement. Not hating, just completely different kinds of people.

They're making fantastic AKs, too!

Does your CH/sled had a little back and forth play? I just got mine in 300 today and noticed this is it normal?
@rileyschubert It does have some movement to it, as does the chargi g handle. I haven't had a single issue since the first couple shots when I pulled a derp and tried to break it in dry. Few drops of oil, and it's smooth as butter. It is possible in one spot along the track to get the sled into the track system at a weird angle while the charging handle is removed, which can be annoying to get back out. The play didn't seem to matter with the non reciprocating handle.
