  • Today, Mochi gave birth to two adorable baby chinchillas, Loki & Poki. This video captures Mochi giving birth to Poki, Loki's younger brother. During the delivery, Loki "dances" and rolls around with joy xD
Both babies are healthy and very active, and Mochi is doing just fine!

Fun fact: If a mother chinchilla can't produce milk for their babies, another female adopts them and cares for them.
Also, dads do not eat their babies. They actually help care for them as well.

Did u get them both at very different times or did u get both of them on the same day? Cause if u get two different chinchillas from different litters and different times and them put them in the same cage, it can cause them to fight or become enemies. But it’s completely normal. If u want u can keep them both in different cages and take them out to play at different times, to prevent them hurting each other and fighting

Well, if you count the fact that Mochi was in fact making those squeaks, Those noises can be heard like an "Eek eek' Right? Those sounds, while made by a chinchilla is usually a distress call made when the chinchilla is frightened, seized, or injured. In this case, its either that Mochi is terrified while giving birth,or being hurt while giving birth. But either way, It still does classify as them being hurt. Im sure other species other than humans and/or chinchillas that can get hurt while birth

I just lost count. Had this chinchilla give born to at least 7 chinchillas since 2011/Apr. @@?
It seems like she get her newborns every 6 months. (Including about 2~3m to take care the newborns, and some pregnant period for the next newborns. )
She had given born about 4th time in two years. Like 2>1>2>2
I was confusing by so many newborns videos think I pick the old one then found out that they all are individual which truely suprise me.
