This is so cute! I recently found out that my mom as been looking into animal refugees for chinchillas to adopt. She haven't found any tho. This makes me really want to start saving up my money to adopt one soon!
So that's what a wet chinchilla looks like... Never seen one get wet before on account of it being less than desirable to allow one's chinchilla to get wet, sorta like a Mogwai. Though they don't seem to have the same problem with post-midnight feedings.
The first set of babies that mine had managed to escape their enclosure and found a spare wheel to run in before we realized they had been born. Within just a couple hours they had figured out how to climb and squeeze through the bars of their cage lol so yeah, they're ALWAYS this active haha
Don't worry, the kits (Baby chinchillas) are simply making a lot of noise to alert their mother, either they want attention, feed, or might be possibly hurt in some way. But i'm guessing most likely is that they want a small conversation with their mother/ perhaps to each other. Its completely natural for them to make a lot of squeaking at that age!
I have 4 chins 2 bought from people who didn't take care of them right and they are all happy as can be 2 in one huge cage then the other 2 in one cage but the are separated they grew apart I think 1 is mentality challenged he doesn't like to be touched by anything on his head.
Chinchillas are sometimes alike. I don't think its too popular to be able to have two chinchillas of the same personality and fur colours. If you do, well then. JUst check of ones muzzle is more fluffier. Like with two other chinchillas, bobo and tea, bobo has a broader muzzle than tea. ( Chintube's other chinchillas) IF they are identical, maybe you can put some sort of mark, like a light rope or band. I don't recommend it though.
