- The final step of creating a plate lithograph is to print in color! After all the preparation, etching, and proofing, it's time to choose a color and create the edition- print all the images the same way. So I chose a dark blue for this image, and will be overlaying more lithography plates in the future. Stay tuned!

Hi! Thank you for the video, may I ask what kind of paper did you use for printing? they look like etching papers (cotton infused paper) to me, for multi plate lithography, what did you do to prevent stretching from paper?
Yes I do use cotton rag paper and if it is multi colored prints then I pre- stretch the paper using the press and a plate support with high pressure first.
@@danaharrisseeger amazing what cotton paper did you use specifically ?
@@elenijuliet1996 I think it was Rives BFK made by Arches or sometimes I use Stonehenge
@@danaharrisseeger BFKs are amazing...!!
Hallo kindly may I ask you is it possible to use offset plates for lithography printing with the same process you are using
Hi Craveil, if the offset plates are aluminum, then yes, the process should be the same!
The only difference is that with offset, the image on the plate will be "positive" or Right Reading, and the image on the printing plate for hand printing is mirrored or Wrong Reading since I only transfer once, not twice like with offset
Wow thanks for that answer so let's say I print my image in reverse on the aluminum plate same way as the lithography I can print directly on paper without using transfer blanket.
And can I get your WhatsApp number maybe incase I got a question I can ask you any time.
And I got another question the press machine I see you are using has a block on top can I use the press similar to the one used on intaglio printing
